God The Hurricane Wars is just STUNNING all over. Might overtake The Witch King as my favorite. Only watched and haven’t commented before, but yours are the ONLY book subscription unboxing vids I will watch because you go in with an open mind and aren’t just aiming to be negative like some other reviewers I’ve seen. I got off the Adult waitlist in time for the September box but after reading the synopsis and goodreads I decided to skip it. I've been waiting a week to see what you thought of the October book I really liked it and was also shocked at the size of the book, but the cover is stunning and I think FL did an amazing job of it.

And I read an arc of Hurricane Wars and didn't love it. Didn't hate it but it was just meh but I love the edition so much, so plan to read and get all FL sequels of it lol. I hate that for me but they made the edition too pretty to not continue to get it. Plus I invested so much time reading it that I am curious where the story goes next.

I'm so glad the art on the end papers doesn't look like Adam Driver (unlike the author letter), I can't stand Reylo and don't want to feel like reading fanfic! 😬But honestly I would have skipped if Fairyloot didn't limit us so much now...
I am so sad that I couldn’t get off the FL waitlist in time for this 😭 My invite came in for November.. Which I am still super happy for but.. I so wanted this 😭

My Oct book arrived with a lot of damage - waiting to see if FL will replace it. I read a library copy, and I hated it, unfortunately. I don’t care about the fanfic aspect - would never have known if I hadn’t read about that on GR - but the relationship was just your typical instalove, and there was nothing to distinguish the story from other bland YA fantasies. I know this is supposed to be adult, but other than a single scene at the very end, it’s basically YA. Hope you and others enjoy this more than I did!

I admit when I read the synopsis for Hurricane Wars, I thought it might be a book I like to read, especially since I'm such a Darklina shipper. However, I remain wary of buying Fairyloot books without reading the content first via the library. Maybe there will be fairy trove sale again for 2023 and if I like the book, I can get it. We didn't get a good look at the author letter artwork though.

I ended up cancelling the YA fairyloot sub to keep the fairyloot adult and Illumicrate. I’m going to be so mad at my husband if I end up regretting it. 😂

Reylo authors and artists just keep thriving, we love to see it. I'm so glad I have a subscription so I could receive that GORGEOUS copy, it truly is one of their best editions ever.
