    Some years ago, my husband and I attended a small church for a season. My husband had to go TDY for a military assignment. While he was away, I questioned something in that church and next Sunday's sermon, I was meat on the sermon menu! The message was about Jezebel and her rebellion etc... I knew that this message was intended for me. I was broken as I returned home. I questioned God, with my brokenness. "Father, do I have a Jezebel spirit?" His response back to me was "If you had a Jezebel spirit, you would not be crying to me asking if you had a Jezebel spirit." Also, he directed me to the scripture, "My sheep hear my voice and a stranger's voice they will not listen." Just week's later, as I took some time off, there was a huge blow up and shortly afterward, that church had totally disbanded. God took care of it.

    We had a similar situation back in 2011. It was very traumatic for our whole family. We were basically shunned by people who had claimed to to love us because "Pastor" commanded it. They said terrible things would happen to us because we had stepped out from under his authority. My oldest child has never returned to church. He still has faith but refuses to attend a church. We have never found a church "home" again. This stuff with Daystar has triggered many feelings, mostly anger. I pray God uses this to bring the Church as a whole healing and deliverance from these false leaders.

This perpetrator is probably still molesting children and you knowing this, I personally could not sleep at nights if I knew three children were molested. Ask God to help give you courage to go forward to report this SA. Remaining silent will only victimize more innocent children.

    I have just left the church because I feel I have experienced spiritual abuse for almost four years due to my divorce. I divorced my ex-husband because of emotional and verbal neglect and abuse. At that time, I had to seek refuge with my two young children. I often felt the need to justify my divorce to the leaders and others in the church. It has been painful to sit in church with a heavy heart while the pastor preaches against divorce and even states that the word "divorce" is not mentioned in this church. Each time I attend a service, I come home feeling heartbroken and beaten down by the pastor's message.

    • @christineortmann359
      @christineortmann359 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +7

      🙏 men are called to love their wives- as Christ loves the church! That should be the pastor’s message! What does that love look like… that’s what needs to be preached. Tell him that . Be brave 🙏

      You didn't have biblical grounds for divorce. I'm not trying g to be rude but the grounds abandonmentor cheating are clearly laid out in scripture. Verbal abuse isn't one of them. We either follow the teachings of the Bible or we do.

    So I'm Not only grieving the loss of spiritual family inside a spiritually abusive church, but essentially, at the same time that God called me to walk away, I lost my precious beloved husband and the love of my life! So it has not been easy, yet so necessary to get to the place God is calling me to. It has been so crushing yet so beautiful to draw near to Christ's precious bleeding side and to find an intimate connection that I have always wanted with my Bridegroom. Discovering that He alone is enough and that He so desperately wants to reveal Himself to us through pain and pleasure. It has been excruciating and yet so profoundly joyful in the deepest, truest sense of the word. If you're walking through the valley of separation from spiritual abuse, keep walking, keep leaning on His everlasting arms of Love. He has so much good in store for you, He has a solid and established place He will fasten you to, inside of your will, to Himself. It will be worth it. Keep Walking.

    I was kicked out of a prayer group because I refused to stand in agreement w/s about my sin. I had recently come out of the New Age movement and was very sensitive. Even if a given sin was recited by the father of lies, I would not agree. Even if factual, the father of lies, is untruthful. Agreement is a strong doctrine in scripture from Babel (wrong agreement) to Pentecost (very right agreement). We must take care who we agree with, especially from the second heaven. Shane is in a agreement with a very broken victim and standing for her, and her parents. That will ultimately have a good outcome.

He did the same thing Marcus Rogers did. How someone who understands spiritual abuse would do that? Fear, he messed up on Laura Lynn channel and start to self-preservation mode. Sorry Shane, you were wrong.
    Edit. Shane, your prayer did help me two weeks or so ago. It was the second time I was healed instantly. That was Jesus, of course. So that is a reason why I am so hurt by your words. Having suffered deeply the consequences of following their wrong advice, I am now completely set free to follow God alone, which has earned me the label of being rebellious in some quarters (which in itself is but another form of control) or has resulted in being told to leave the church. Shane is a great teacher and speaker, I just wish you gave him more time to talk since many times it went back to your story and he had to interrupt you so that he could speak at times. Just a tip when you have a guest speaker, you really should give them more time to talk, that’s the purpose of the show. If you wanted to talk about your story, then just have your own show with no guests, so I was just disappointed. i don’t think it is respectful to do that to guests. He was graceful in the interview to you, Laura Lynn Thompson did a great job interviewing him and gave him a lot of time to speak, now the content of what you were speaking about is very important. I’m gladyou are bringing the issue at the forefront-abuse in churches.

    I just wanted to ask why not call SA for what it is instead of using abbreviations… I’m not condemning just wondering why it can’t be spoken for what it is…

      I think it's because youtube won't let you put certain words on youtube and that is one of them. Another one is R you can guess what that stands for.

      If he’s leaving, sounds like he is determined to move on and get into another relationship. She’s free to move on then. Also, 1Cor. 7:5-If the unbeliever wants to leave the woman is not bound in that case. One thing I know, God will never leave her or forsake her and will restore a life to her if she continues in Him.

    20:32 Did pastor literally say "God will grind you to powder" or "sift you like wheat"? Jesus told Peter satan requested permission to "sift you (Peter) like wheat". But Jesus prayed for Peter.
    46:55 TBH if he is the pastor of the church you should call him Pastor. Give honor and respect to whom it is due. Romans 13:7

    I am so glad that John Hagee has stepped on board of this train concerning this little girl. I don't care about daystar. So hopefully this train is moving out of this stuck station and John Hagee can hollow all aboard. There is a place of quiet rest that's near to the heart of God. So I'm not a fan of anyone preacher. But I do know God has John Hagee here on this earth for a reason. So people center in on praying for child. John Hagee will speak the truth, he don't care if people like him or not. (God just put these words into my head, " I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIGHT. AMEN, so be it.
    forget about Daystar!😊
