Thank you for being transparent and vulnerable Allen Hood! I am another victim of this crap. There is much more to be uncovered in “the church”. It is painful when the things you have believed in and “put on a pedestal “ become the very thing that brought you pain. It’s helped me to understand God as much bigger than I ever understood Him before. I have not been a part of the organized church in many many years. But I am closer to Jesus than I have ever been in my life, and he has given me many promises and taken me through many trials. I wouldn’t trade it for anything and I hope that the stories of the small ones, like me, are heard soon. 👑🙏👑 But even if we are not heard, God reigns, He sees, He understands 💃🤸🏼💃 He is with us and He is VERY BIG!!!

Me too, multiple Sauls and Eli''s , wolves hiding in the House of God, what?? We trust the church to be a safe place but it's a den of thieves full of bones even as Jesus called it out!! These cults start right why do they Crash and Burn?? Lord Jesus what keeps me and us from becoming Mike?? Help us Lord, the darkness is do so wise and we are fools ,Lord help us to never ever go there again!! Remember Jimmy Swaggart in Louisiana in the 1980's, he was found many times with street walkers, Lord, the real problem, porn and other men looking the other way, not covering thier leaders pastors eternal soul, helping them betray Jesus!! Who is worse the wolf or the siding and abeding the wolf?? Guess what?? Both are Guilty!! Some may end Thier lives or others dying in drugs prostitution booze never healing thinking God did it!! Help us Jesus!!

I was at IHOPKC for 7 years and Allen Hood was the most genuine pastor there. Corey Russel was always so intense but a kind man. Mike Bickle was always smiling with no emotion in his eyes made you second guess him and his motives. So no surprised all of this has happened.

Unless you're in it. What is astonishing is how one person can twist words and weaponize Scriptures, resulting in submission that mimics obedience to the Lord. If you don't think we all think in hives, in groups, and are not easily misled, look at our recent elections, or look at the Nazis. What is astonishing is that anyone ever had the courage to speak up and speak out.

I suspect it was more than not discerning--it was fear of confronting IHOP's cash cow, risking job loss or discreditation and fear of being called a whistleblower--just sayin' from my own horrendous experiences in the local church and mega ministry of the 90s. Amazing to me that a bunch of prophetic people could not discern their fox in the hen house--predators always give off signals and raise red flags sooner or later.

Over 30yrs ago , I asked a question about a trustee who gave me a fearfully and stunned reaction , speechless , asking to borrow his wife for youth choir . Asked his "group deacon" and near best friend. Removed in part for , That and other things .
Later , while at another church , find out he had been cheating on his wife with another trustees wife .... And deacon knew .
Was a disaster with a list of casualties until 2 cheats attempted to run away .
"Rampant" indeed . Cover ups , indeed .
During that time , another church discovered their preacher , near 70yrs old , had literal concubines , in every church he was in ; covered up for near 40yrs , BY the churches and denomination .
I just don't know , except , most "church authorities" feel they can act with impunity .
Good talk here . Keep it up

100% agree amen, these leaders are too prone to pride and leadership gives them a platform to operate in it, enjoy the adulation and high praise etc. Being truly saved and escaping hell is more important than wealth, power, adoration, sex (satan's tempting ground etc) May the Lord continue to unveil leaders who are compromising the truth, wounding the flock and need to repent and may the Lord help churches to build in greater levels of accountability and safety so that the sheep feel safe to attend the organised church.

God's Covenant Order has never changed and His Word gives us clear priorities when we walk in His Truth and Grace with Christ as Lord...very few churches are discipling or even teaching this today. What about prioritizing the Shepherd over the sheep? "When we place "the body" above The Head we are in idolatry!" The currency of Christ's Kingdom is loving relationships...starting with our love for God above all else that then allows us to truly love ourselves and others (2 Greatest Commands)! This is the reality and what is missing in most of the churches in USA today. Thanks and God bless in Christ!

It's easy to manipulate sincere, wonderful people if they have not been rooted in the whole counsel of God's Truth in His Love and again that describes the state of most of today's American churches! Very little, if any, true discipleship and maturity...stuck on milk and happy to be so...with no or little meat and Scripture, spiritual maturity so we stay stuck in appeasing people to stay, give and serve so we look good! Praying for repentance and revival among His people!

Prepared to handle scandal ? All church boards are to line up with the Word of God they should Know full well what to do when sin is exposed, when error is exposed . There were countless men who came through that ministry who saw the truth but went with he flow. He says there was not the accountability structure needed , Why did they all except that and not address it or sound the alarm. They all took part, they all made choices, many not seeing their own weaknesses and addressing their personal issues that enabled their being conditioned to the wrong kind of fear and interoperate submission to questionable behavior in leaders.

The thing I still don’t get is if you have discernment and the gift of prophecy, how do you not know when someone is in sin to that level??? I have seen many people where I sensed something was off, and it turned out they were in serious sin and everything fell apart. I have a hard time trusting people who were in close proximity to abuse and somehow knew nothing???

222 Critical scripture: Colossians 2:20 Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21 “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22 These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23 Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

My two cents regarding the difficulty of fundraising and family life in the midst of “revival” and 24/7 prayer - I think part of the problem is ministries are often founded on a well-intentioned romantic dream, for example, I think Bickle was trying to emulate the Moravians, who lived in self sustaining communities, where prayer was just an integral part of communal life. It cannot be artificially reproduced in a transient urban context very easily. Also, monks in the ancient orthodox church, have been ‘singing the Scriptures’ in the liturgy and other services more or less 24/7 for many hundreds of years, and it continues to this day. As with so many other things, people sense a need and so try to restore things to the church that don’t need to be restored - they were and are already there in the ancient expressions, imo seen most accurately in Orthodox Christianity.

Looks like Mike did a great job helping steward this young man’s intimacy w Christ. I would Say the humility and impact of words spoken by Allen is partly due to mikes imperfect fathering. It’s ok Allen, we all have imperfect dads. My apostle spiritual dad actually became lead pastor due to scandal w his pastor cheating with the secretary. And the lord told him to not judge him, but just love him. It didn’t make sense but my pastor was sure he hears from God. What if you put down the anger, put down the questions, give it ALL to Jesus and just love your spiritual dad. Ask Jesus if that’s ok. I remember being so angry after seeing my dad high on drugs at an AA meeting afte years later of sobriety. I was so hurt so grieved so mad. Then one of close friends (still sober friend) said to me : just love your dad. Show him love. And I knew it n my heart what that meant. It didn’t mean love looks like anything more than just loving on him without condition, without an answer, without directions, without judgement. But maybe that’s not what the Lord has for you Allen.

I'm glad Allen Hood has a pure heart for the victims. But God is also revealing through DayStar scandal that not everyone's first priority is for their own little child's innocence and safety. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely, even in christian ministry. The heart is more corruptible and deceptive even to ourselves. God is revealing all.

You brought up some things that need to be talked about more. Always look at the board . If the pastor or preacher or his family run the board it is almost sure to be a victim of financial and/or spiritual abuse. The other is restoring to ministry - eventually it is time to "treat him like pagan or a tax collector."

Pastor Allen... And anyone reading.. I'd like say this. Have you ever had sins failed at the highest level? When you were 15, 16, 18, 25, 45, etc. And you have repented. Do you publicly go out and preach those sins to everyone you meet? The moral equivalency of a person and a pastor is different in society so the claim that since Mike Bickle is such a "huge" character in the body but he is also just one of us. It was never to Mike's credit as a human being that it was his power that accomplished anything. It was God. Credit goes to God, not Mike. I think if the body had our minds focused on that God uses sinners to accomplish His will, that would aid.

The Gospel is not about what's we try to do for God, or trying to have impact. The Gospel is what God has done for us. That's what Really matters. It's not the band, it's not dreams and visions and forecasts. It's not about hi-tech and showmanship. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE REAL, GENUINE JESUS. What God gives us, what God does for us. It is not about Christian celebrities and do-it-yourself rock stars. Repent. Turn away from false Christianity. The REAL Jesus cares about you.

The thing I dislike about a LOT of videos in which popular and big name Christian leaders are exposed concerning their sinful actions, etc., is that it opens the door for NUMEROUS people who call themselves Christians to jump on the gossip wagon and tear the guilty ones to shreds verbally. I hate the immorality of any pastor or leader, but I also despise the hateful gossip coming from those in the church. That's why so often I cringe when I see these kinds of posts. It's very sad when a pastor falls into sin and then worse when he refuses to truly repent. It makes it hard to trust any leaders.
Thankfully, I haven't seen horrible and nasty comments so far on this post.
When Robert Morris's sin from almost 40 years ago was exposed by his victim, I was distressed to see so many so-called Christians suggesting horrible, horrible things that should happen to him. I also wondered why it took so long for the full truth of his sin to come out. I know there are some reasons for it, but I questioned the reasoning of why now, why not thirty years ago? I guess that's mostly on Morris himself, though, for failing to be really truthful. It's troubling no matter how you look at it. The hearts of mankind are so weak and frail and easily led astray. May God have mercy on all of His children!

Respectfully, you need to educate yourself as to grooming, etc., as a victim of this myself it changes who you are, the wiring in your brain… Especially if it’s someone that is “kind to you“. Coming forward, entails being mocked, ridiculed, not believed and being seen as a weak, ridiculous human being, or worse, just trying to get attention. It took me over a decade to even confront the circumstances around what happened to me, because the brain has a way of protecting Someone in that situation by just shutting down. When things are stable enough things start bubbling up in regards to the trauma. I could go on and on, but you can do your own googling on this.
Again respectfully, if you’re asking these kinds of questions, please stop right now and just praise and thank God that you have not experienced this… Because you cannot begin to understand this unless you’ve been through it.

I know why. It’s because we have been conditioned to cover it up, be forgiving & kind hearted to the abuser, even when it’s a crime like child SA. I was in a “Christian” cult where the leader was so revered and protected by the followers that he abused more than 100 boys and teens over 50 years because we wouldn’t talk about it. People are so quick to say, “don’t gossip,” “touch not God’s anointed,” “love covers a multitude of sins.” Our first priority should be protecting the children, after all to cover it up and accuse the victims to protect the ministry or the pastor is like CHILD SACRIFICE. We should forgive, but when they commit such a crime, they should go on trial and to prison if found guilty just like any other criminal. It’s our mandate to protect the vulnerable and innocent from predators.

@@518hs …and your comment demonstrates where the Church is now progressively going off the rails in its twisting and turning in desperately trying to keep the focus off helping the victims of ab@se/groom&ing in order for the Church to save face and look more respectable, ie cover up and deflect accountability and truth at all costs. Who cares how we look to the world and each other?! Our job is to one day be without spot or wrinkle. Thus process of uncovering sin is grievous and humbling to say the least.

@@shelleybayless8968100% Jesus had no qualms calling out the religious hypocritical leaders of his day and also he calls us to speak up on behalf of the oppressed and against injustice. It is morally wrong to stay silent if we see people being harmed and say nothing! The church needs to get much much better at accountability and humility - no leader should be elevated to a degree of not being accountable or being humble enough to repent and admit when they have done wrong.

I believe the biggest sin that people like Allen Hood have to repent of is putting a human on the throne that only God deserves. The church has bred this huge sin. Many churches are falling because of this. But the church is shaken first. In the days to come it will come to the “godly homes” the “small church” and then we’ll see it move to the world… 👑🙏👑

    Common sense, Allen.
So much of the basic observation RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES, the leaders avoided.
As leaders you were responsible for Mike and other leaders.
You were the closest and you are responsible.

Allen is not responsible for Mike's sin. MIKE is responsible for Mike's sin. It's a very difficult situation to deal with, and other leaders must seek God as to how to handle situations like this. Sin is usually done in secret, so it isn't always right in front of the other leaders' faces.

No, No, Allen is not responsible for Mikes sin. You misunderstand.
Allen is responsible for (along with others), for the inevitable collapse of the ministry.
This whole crew, including Misty sat in that back room DAILY as Mike went in his office alone with young women and closed the door.
It’s common sense that something was WRONG and they let it continue.

How is Rick Joyner implicated? He was retired. Chris Reed left and it happened under his watch. Rick Joyner has fully taken responsibility, offered 100% transparency and 100% working with the police. People who do bad things find their way into solid ministries, businesses, and ingrain themselves in families.
David, a man after God’s own heart, murdered and was an adulterer. He betrayed his friend, who he knew, liked, and fought alongside with… the truth is we are all people capable of doing bad things and must watch our own judgment. I’m not saying Mike Bickle shouldn’t have been confronted and removed from his position of authority but 2 Corinthians tells us to forgive and restore when they are repentant. So, let’s pray he repents!
Even though David repented, it hurt all those who was in his country, death came to his kingdom, and his family. Kings aren’t meant to have many wives and because David did producing many children- once David fell, they went berserk.

Rick mishandled Todd Bentley several times, then he assumes the victims of MB are wrong or they are liars. His first response was to say, “Nothing Burger,” but there are now 6 to 10 names known, and the advocate group has said that more names will come out. I have personally talked to 4 of these victims. To say nothing burger, was false accusation, with the same as “YOU are false.” It’s like the demonic Marxist technique for an arsonist to say, “He starts fires! Just look at that! “
