The bolt action rifle has finally arrived! What are your thoughts about it? Is it okay as it is, or maybe needs some buffs? Sadly i couldn't show how the build handles gunships cuz they got bugged🙃But in case you wonder, it takes around 2 mags from the Constitution and 5 shots from the Senator, so it's not that bad. It's not a weapon for us mere mortal HellDivers, but I am going to play around with it tonight (UK time) if I can find 3 other divers to play Constitution with no support weapons loadout for teh LOLZ. That said, I just love getting new stuff in-game, who cares if it's any good!
Even though it can be considered a troll weapon, I actually really like it and my only gripe is probably the stripper clip like the senator has a speed loader when fully empty. But, other than that it’s a solid weapon choice for me.
@@AlenB29 Its not .30-06, its uses the same rounds as the Counter Sniper, which is 9x70mm. Super Earth ditched old world calibers after the First Galactic War, they changed 5.56x45mm to 5.5x50mm, .308 to 8x60mm, .338 to 9x70mm, .50 BMG to 12.5x100mm.
@@K_Balu 5.5x50 only increase its penetration capability than the original 5.56 also it would be cool as well if they changed it ( in the future) there standard issued rounds to 6.8mm. Also where did you get these source from about there weapons caliber
Love these kinds of runs. I tried to solo the constitution on a mid-level bot eradicate mission and it didnt go fantastically lol. Wont stop me from trying again though. Also I wish they'd add more recoil to this gun, just to make it feel more immersive. Not to mention a real m1903 kicks pretty damn hard.
Missed opportunity to dress up in Trailblazer Scout armor and Field Chemist helmet for full WW1 fashion. Anyway, really impressive how you were able to solo an entire operation on the highest difficulty with a loadout like this, without even a single death on your end! Always happy to see people prove that even the "worst" weapons can be extremely potent in the right hands.
Me and my friends had a blast using this on mid difficulties with the peak physique armor on. We were just all melee killing everything and dying a lot. It was hilarious. Definitely a fun meme weapon for when the mood strikes. But, yeah, when we are playing more seriously this will be sitting in the armory while we dive. If they plan on keeping it around, they may want to add a clipper strip for when you're out (pretty sure the Springfield model 1903 had them, but I could be wrong) give it heavy pen and up the damage to at least being over the Senator (functioning as kind of a primary version of it). If they don't, no big deal. It'll be there for when we decide to go on a full melee meme dive again. lol
As a side note, they may just end up making a battle rifle that fills that category at some point, and this is the gag gift version of what that will be.
I mean I don’t think it’d be broken if they increased the damage to be higher than the diligence cs or kept the same damage and gave it AP4. But it’s alright. I like how it looks and sounds. But functionally it’s nothing special or to get excited about.
@ i’ll respectfully disagree. I love the game and there’s a lot of fun to be had with it, but I feel like intentionally introducing something that is bad on purpose isn’t the greatest from a design perspective; especially given this game’s history.

My friend and I used to co-op team deathmatch against bots on the old CoD games using only the worst pistol to add to the challenge. Its fun to have that option.
The Constitution is basically a future M1 Garand so I feel like it's missing the iconic Garand Ping, but other than that and maybe a little more armor pen, it's just fine as implemented.
It’s a M1903, but I feel like a Garand reproduction with the ping would be sick for next liberty day. I also think the constitution as fine as is, though I think a good buff would be a clip reload from empty

It's a troll weapon and i like it. The feeling of WWI is fun, but don't expect miracles except when Sarge handles it.

Lore wise, it is meant to be a ceremonial gun aka a debut "toy gun" for kids so i think it is good as it is
not a toy gun its just a ceremonial rifle but doesnt change the fact that its 30-06 and should hit like a train

People have been complaining about this rifle not being viable on difficulty 10. Watching you play makes it clear that it's a skill issue

sadly the ping is only from the stripper clip which isnt a thing for the constitution yet, hoping they give it to us when we reload on empty

Springfield 1903 does not ping. Even with stripper clips, they are not internal and just fall when you push the bolt in.
