Finally, someone else who sometimes uses staging on side boosters.
The newer updated version has atmospheric drag and heat when going trough the atmosphere. The speed you went trough it your rocket would be a fireball. Therefore you. Eed to learn qa way to build your rocket so the whole thing can reentry the atmosphere. And that twice if you want a render vous from Earth to Mars and Back. Also your Rendezvous Vous Rocket need to be big enough to take-off and go back to earth.

With reentry update, landing is now harder so it's near impossible to land whole rockets in planets, making a roundtrip impossible.

Well, im a bit late but landing on venus was easy before the reentry update because your rocket would not burn in the atmosphere and the parachute would stop you, in mars you need to waste fuel to stop your rocket thats why you landed first on Venus and not mars

If you use your fuel efficently you dont need a big rocket to Mars
You can go to Mars in a Moon rocket if you gravity assist of the moon

Nice job, but the video is WAY too fast, I tried rebuilding it fully slowed down but even then I couldnt keep up. I suggest you make a slower version..

i didnt need this bc one i dont have parts expansion and two i landed in moon then mars with a singular rocket on my first try using free parts
Problem, when I am in orbit of earth and get the transfer thing the moon blocks my way and I get get a view of Mars when it will be there so I have to do it blindly
Try warp time so moon can go other side and will not block ur orbit burn to Mars...👍
Also when I go to lower my velocity when I'm landing on the moon, my rocket just goes up.. and I don't want it to do that
Use your engine at moon until it's 4.10 under to not just goes up just get your rocket in low level (hope this will help you)
Well fhe gravity on the moon is so weak so it can be hard to land on the moon and almost no atmosphere along with pretty much a vacuum (no atm. pressure)

I did it before buying the expansions. Its all trial and error and experimentation the more you play the more you get good at it just make sure to save the blueprints it'll save you alot of time.
