I really can’t see why people would want to go to Blackpool these days it’s so sad 😢 Also the difference between Blackpool and your Spain videos is massive in that Spain looks so much cleaner and the buildings well cared for. My mum took us to Blackpool as kids - please like if you were the kids with a bottle of coke, a straw and a bag of crisps on the pub steps back in the 70s before kids were allowed in pubs - never been back since and no intention of doing!

I went to Blackpool a few years ago and it was horrible never again
I only have sad memories of Blackpool.My dad went there for a holiday back in 2011 and died there after a stroke.
Never been back and never will.

OMG the place is soo rundown & depressing i remember how great Blackpool was in the 50s 60s as a kid we holiday there or southport most years with mum & dad lovely memories 🤩😍 my favourite riders the mouse & the grand national 🤣

I love Blackpool, I know its run down, but if you make your way to Blackpool church, its a lovely little part of blackpool and has the most amazing cafe called ziggies, fantastic affordable food.

I Lisa and Mark, Liza you look really nice in your blog btw. I used to live in Blackpool for awhile myself it's really gone down hill since I moved away in 2000. I remember how the Pleasure beach was and walking around there. It is such a shock to the system when I see how Blackpool has changed.

Hi guys, we stopped off at Blackpool about 3 weeks ago, on our way up to Carlisle. We hadn't if been before, so thought we would have a look around. We did go up the tower, that was great, the views and the 4D show was lovely to. We had fish and chips before we left, but I can't remember where from. We definitely will go back, spend abit more time there. I m looking forward to your trip to Ireland, as I have never been there, thanks for showing us around take care ❤ xx

I used to live in Southend on sea and that looks and sounds just like Blackpool, Skegness and other seaside resorts. We prefer quieter places. You have been there, so I don’t need to. Thank you 🤩
You should visit South Shields, it has a lovely coast, Chico would love the green areas and beach.Also the Indian restaurants are good on Ocean Road.

Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach at South Shields between 8am and 6pm at this time of year. But I agree South Shields is well worth a visit. It has everything that Mark and Lisa love. My mum is from there originally and I have spent many summers there.
Also let's not forget Colmans fish and chips! Hilary Clinton visited once. Marine park is nice also. Mark and Lisa can have a go on the little train 😊

We used to live in Fleetwood and I worked in Blackpool, guess how much fun it was getting home on a Saturday afternoon in summer 🤣

Hi folks we enjoyed your vid of blackpoolr we were there a long time ago in our first motorhome in the 1980,s and danced in the tower ballroom. When you come to Ireland the titanic quarter in Belfast is well worth a visit. And HMS Caroline a world war One cruiser. The drive on the north Antrim coast is very nice (weather permitting).Carrickfergus norman castle. We left Carrickfergus in our mercedes camper in 2014.and have never left Calpe Spain to go back! I used to work at the Derby Arms in Inskip and on my day off I used to love the Grand National (that was in the 70's)
Don't know why they just don't call it day on the place. Was watching a BBC Arena program from the Eighties the other day and the history of the place is very interesting. The place was popular with surrounding mill towns back in the day when mill closed for a shity week only and employees flocked in their droves with bucket and spades for the time of their lives apparently. The place was heaving and everyone having a good time.

Awwww we were there on the Sunday and we had spent the day in Lytham St Annes and everywhere was dog friendly then we went to Blackpool for tea and no chippys would let us in with big Ted, so we went back to Lytham and ended up in a place you recommended called the shovels and had a boss roast dinner

They r building a multi million £ complex in Bonnie St a lot of Central Dr is up for demolition also, best chippy in Blackpool is sea fish in Foxhall if you are looking for fish n chips never let you down. They started to charge to get in pleasure beach to keep trouble makers out as far as I know. I luv Blackpool got something for everyone and all ages. Enjoy your time there I just wanted some of your chips looks lovely. Ps they only open Pleasure beach if Its buisy enough I believe. Happy Days ☺️
Last time I went to Blackpool was 1981 I think and stayed at my Mates Aunties place. Pleasure beach open all the time and FREE!! Used to Love going on the 'Grand National'! The prom is all different now I see! And even concreted onto the beach! :-( We saw Little and Large at the Central pier, with Jim Davidson, Norman Collier and Frank Carson supporting! Brilliant night that was!!

Great to see your faces again. Anywhere with beach and water is always lovely....but I know when the happy memories of time spent there have changed over time, it is disappointing! Sad to see businesses closed down. Looks like a great place to visit, with yummy eats!
I drove to Blackpool once a few ago but for some reason couldn't get near the front so I did t bother again. It appears that another part of England's history has been sold off again to greedy corporates who are just sitting on the property waiting for it to increase in price or sell it off to middle East buyers! What an absolute shame! But the burger and fish n chips plaice looked great! And the Comedy Square too! Cheers guys. Looking forward very much to seeing you in dear old Ireland! Slainte! 🙋😁👍🏴🇮🇪🙏

Loved the caves ride on the pleasure beach a long time ago .
The vintage bikes, they started off at the glitter ball and rode to Cleveleys and back again, then some did a ride out to Lytham on the Sunday,

Been to Blackpool many times over the years.Took the grand kids there last year.Sea fronts are not too bad but the back streets are slums.Was a shocker.Oh had a pound burger was great.Great vid..

What! Worth hundreds??? I recently gave a Mongoose BMX in VGC away for free. I bought it in the early 80's for my son. It was hardly ever used and was taking up space in the garage. Maybe I should have done a bit of research to check what it was worth. Oh well, you live and learn.

I love blackpool, been going since being a kid an now take my kids and they love it.
Walk on the wild side did a video about the last lap of the grand prix ride. The event was in the evening so the pleasure beach could have been closed due to that.

I went there for the first 16 years of my life on holiday , Doncaster race week when the pits were on holiday. In the 50s & 60s it was great. My Aunt had a boarding house on Bloomfield Road opposite the football ground . Many happy 😊 times.

Omg how can they say you can’t film on an open pier! How bizzare. I used to come to the pleasure beach when I was in a marching jazz band and came to competitions. I remember the books of tickets, the Alice in wonderland ride and I’m sure there was one called the PlayStation that you used to sit on and it would shoot up in the air. Also loved the Pepsi max big one but I’m sure I heard somewhere that it was being dismantled?? Maybe so if it’s all shut down now 😢. Anyway great vlog again and like you say it’s worth it for the chippy and the £1 hot sarnies lol xx

Great video the food looked really good I've had the pound burger which is really nice but I must try those fish and chips from that shop the next time I'm in Blackpool. Blackpool has just recently opened a new tramway from the promenade to Talbot gate. The pleasure Beach hasn't been the same since they made you pay to even walk through and now it's called Blackpool Beach Resort and not pleasure beach. I just check on the website and it closes at 5pm in June what's that all about. I remember it been open really late with all the lights on the rides that was the best time to go. All the scaffolding on the sand castle is a new water slide they are putting up from the roof. Looking forward to seeing you in your next video.

I love Blackpool and i watch it on other you tubers vlogs, but is funny , no matter how many times i have watched, you showed me a different version, even the chippy i havent seen before!, there are a lot of new places being built, its a shame about the old shuttered buildings they cant get rid of because they are still owned apparently, and i always wondered why they dont go on the pier, they should have notices

Every town looks miserable in the rain .Donkeys are still on the beach and the Thomson family do still own the Pleasure Beach .Blackpool is brilliant so much to do .I work at the Pleasure Beach and its never been shut on a Saturday. It opens at 10am and shuts at 5pm , until the summer hols when we close at 7pm and 10pm most weekends .We had over 7000 people in on Saturday so its definitely not struggling 😊
shutting ay 5pm in june indicates it is struggling for footfall as people can not afford it and if the thomsons do still own it tell them to let people walk through again what harm can it do and that 7000 people you mention will have bee 20000 to 30000 20 years ago
@@NorthernersonTour Walking through tempts you to want to go on the rides or buy toffee apples or candy floss while you are strolling past or standing watching the fun.
Indeed there was a lot more people but the majority didn’t spend a penny and were just walking through. It was full
of drunks, pick pockets, trouble makers and cost them a fortune in security and extra staff/ maintenance costs. It’s a million times better now, it’s safe, spotlessly clean and a better atmosphere. 5/6pm is a pretty standard closing for a theme park.

Blackpool so many great memories, loved the place shame about its neglect, although still a great night out at any age.
Visited Blackpool a week ago for 4 days and stayed at Haven holiday park sadly they only have portacabins for showers and toilets now in touring and other half jarred her back getting out shower block as no step in place it was over a 12 inch step up / down to use now had to return home south when we were on our way north had to spend 3 nights in hospital for treatment, very poor show HAVEN.
I've never been to Blackpool I suggested going as we've never been but I would have been so disappointed if most things are closed, that's so sad xx

As a kid we would go on a Wallace Arnold day trip to Blackpool to see the illuminations. I remember going on the Grand National at the pleasure beach and my mum liked the bingo.
When I passed my driving test in 82, most Saturdays I would drive my work mates through and spend the day there. It was always packed.
I think the last time I went was about 20 years ago and it was just full of stag and hen do's.
It's sad to see so many Northern towns indecline.

Sad about Blackpool, I was born in Preston in 1973 and during the 1980s I went there with school friends to the pleasure beach. Eat rock etc...

That’s made me quite sad to see Blackpool so quiet from a young age my mum took me to Blackpool a cpl times a year her friend stayed in Blackpool & it’s a tradition that stayed I took my two boys it’s been two years since we were there & to see the pleasure beach closed in a Saturday in June & all the shops I’d really sad if Blackpool want to bring back tourists they need to do a little of work thank u for the video amazing as always ❤
I went into blackpool on mon from martin mere caravan park.i was disappointed that the big arcades have got rid of the prize bingo.found a small place on the front but doesn't open till 1pm but with having sticks my back was killing walking around I went and got a brew at central pier where it had tables outside.only good thing was it was nice and sunny went across road 2 a shoe shop then asked 4 a taxi num my back was that bad I couldnt hang around another 2 hours 4 the next bus back.
