@@fionaahern1048 Well said. I was in Belfast a few months ago and it was like walking on egg-shells when people asked you where you were from. Its only the Brits that think there is a Southern and Northern Ireland as different countries/nations. From what I could see there was very little difference, yes the people had a slightly different accent but they were just as friendly, welcoming and hospitable as in the rest of Ireland. The only obvious difference that I could see was that in the Republic of Ireland we still have an Economy. Apart from that it was like being on any other part of this Island.
I'm amazed that the Brits can still afford to go on holiday. How is Brexit working out for you guys ?

I actually said to my wife halfway through your video , Tesco’s and The Eco park would be the 2 worst places to park up for the night due to the young ones ripping about lol . Glad you got somewhere quiet in the end . I live near Ballymena and haven’t been up the town really in years .Keep up the great vlogs guys 👌

@@NorthernersonTour loads of nice wee places to park up round the north coast if you are heading that way ( not so much portrush as a lot of the car parks have height barriers ) but on round towards giants causeway etc is grand .

In May 1798 the Irish started a rebellion similar to the French Revolution. The Govt was stronger and won the battle and ordered that the instigators be executed. So, I'm guessing that's why the executions were a month later in June. A harsh reminder of the uprising.

Hi mark and Lisa great to see you I. Ireland. That Chinese food actually looked bland. Glad you got away from from the youths without injury. Sometimes it can be quite scary. What a lovely friendly man. I have been to Dublin once on a trip when I was over at that side and found the Irish to be so friendly Sounded lovely too. Hi folks Danske bank is Danish, and its pronounced Dan ska. Its not Irish money its GBP, so its sterling. Scotland has no issue with taking all our different bank notes but England won't. We have Northern Bank notes, Ulster bank notes, Bank of Ireland bank notes and Bank of England bank notes. In the south of Ireland they use Euros, Just came across you guys today and Im enjoying your videos, but there are so many beautiful places to see, All along the Antrim Coast you'll find beautiful villages and towns with lovely beaches too. Belfast is Brilliant but its expensive if youre not in small local areas, and they can be dodgy too. Derry is a brilliant city to visit, lots of history and the cafes, shops and restaurants are very reasonably priced, ( though it may be off the track for you both ).;
This has been a cold summer in NI this year.

Wow what expensive prices, mind you we were stung and had an awful meal at our local TGI Fridays which before we had nice food but were charged £125 for the pleasure of a bad meal 😢 loving this vlog, you guys visit some lovely places, great to see JP and Sammie as always ❤the charity finds you find some right bargains. I bet Lisa it's lovely charity shopping with you 😊
If you go to another chipper ( chippy ) try a spice bag .....it comes in a huge box and has chicken balls , salt n pepper chips chickem wings and sweet and sour sauce ....a chinese staple in chinese chippers in ireland .....supermacs is another place to visit when your down the country xx❤❤

When you were in Ballymoney you should have tried Blythewood charity shop Lisa it's amazing and across from it theirs the Joey and Roberts memorial garden and just down from their Joey's pub

Op shos are the Go to shops here in NZ..I live near five great shops a d they are always crowded. Glad they are more accepted in Britain now..even in 2019.they were few and far between when I was last in UK...years ago as a music student I shopped at Oxfam shops and braved the crowds at tge Sllues Jumble sales which had fabulous clothes etc for ua sdults and our kids. Designer clothes for small change...all good...

hi mark and lisa that ten pound note that you got ripped you could have still spent it as it was still together as one therefore it was still legal tender, i know this because it happened to me a few weeks ago and the bank told me it couldn't be refused as you can't refuse any money that contains the kings head use to be the queens, so i tried what the bank told me and the shop took it, you can even still use it if it was taped back together

Interesting to see Ireland , never been there. Often thought i would like to go and see it, so got a bit of an insight from your vlogg. The charity shops don’t pay council tax like other shops,. So maybe only ones that can afford to be there.

So sorry you had a bad experience with the boy and girl racers, in my old home of northern Ireland 😢 but all good in the end, and marks favourite food, Chinese was ROTTEN 🤢 and wee checo must of been Foundered, (freezing) northern irish for being cold. lol, well its been lovely today here near stranraer, i even cut my grass, and went down to Stranraer for my chicken balls, fried rice chips and curry special, from the fabulous SUNKAI chinese 😋 safe trip on the rest of your journey. If you had went into pet and countrys pet shop back door you could have walked out their front door straight onto the main street, seen you meeting Billy "Elvis" Murphy, hes the towns best known character and he sings Elvis songs and I tell you what if you heard him sing he`s bloom`in brilliant at Elvis....if you`re still near Ballymoney check out Nico`s in Ballybrakes on the outskirts of town, or "The bite above" where Billy recommended in the Main street, both restaurants serve good home cooking and if you fancy a chinese try Mao Asian cruisine for a pick you`re own buffet which is tasty and is not greasy like a lot of other Chinese restaurants its at Milltown also on the outskirts of town....enjoy the rest of you`re trip.

Or is this in the next one sorry.xx Weather in Ireland expect 4 seasons in one day 🙈 people are really friendly in Ireland love to know the ins and out, always up for a good craic 👍 enjoy the beautiful Emerald Isle, but unfortunately you will get the idiots doing doughnuts etc. it does make finding somewhere comfortably and feeling safe a bit difficult. But there are some beautiful campsites along the way. Xxx

OMG Billy Elvis, local legend. In Northern Ireland banks print their own money, which can be a bit of a pain when in England as shops not used to seeing the notes find it more difficult to tell if they are genuine or fake, so they refuse to take any of them. Free parks and car parks all over this area are plagued with youngsters revving cars and playing loud music, very much into their motor vehicles and motorcycles here.
