As someone who loves jewel tones I completely agree that there are years I put off projects because the yarn selection doesn't fit my favorite colors. It was an amazing feeling when I gifted the yarns I didn't love to get them out of my stash. Your projects look great! Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡
Loving your projects and commentary. Interested to know which advent calendars you are looking through. My thought about advent calendars are like yours but considering something for a blanket this year. Just don't know where to start
Always nice to see you Amy. You are organized and such a natural with Knittubing. I think you said once before for your work, you present a lot on Zoom and I think that has a direct affect on how you naturally talk to us and how you know so much about knitting. Heck, I think I've been knitting longer than you and I know less 🤣. The jewel tone of your tee that you're wearing is wonderful and cheerful. The blanket you're making for your Nana is cool; what a neat technique to do to give a simple project some oomph. I like that triangular shawl you're knitting up; the visual effect the accordion sectioning gives is cool. Keep doing and buying colors that make you happy. No doubt you work hard and are a sweetie so the best is a must for you.
Ohhhh Amy Your Nana’s blanket is so so gorgeous what a beautiful job!!! Your socks are gorgeous … Amanda has amazing colours All that new yarn looks yummy !!! Have a great week !! 😊💝🇨🇦
The colour of the Poppy Tee looks amazing on you! Awesome that you‘re now choosing colours more based on which you love rather than whats on trend. I‘m currently working towards that as well. :)
Love your content. Never comentted before. I wanted to sugest you to cut the fringes evenly to use the pompom making technique but for fringes. Wrap the yarn on a piece of cardboard (width half the length of the fringes) and then cut in one side. I hope I explained well and this info is useful 😊
Great commentary about color- I agree it is difficult to not get sucked up into trends. I feel that way about popular patterns too. I am trying to pay more attention to fit and complimenting my body type
Your blanket is turning out so beautifully! And I love the color of the Poppy tee on you. You totally need more bright knits like that in your wardrobe!
Love the color of your Poppy Tee. Great job on the Moonstone Plaid Blanket. The Barbara shawl construction looks so cool. I love the color choices of all your projects. I'm so happy that you are embracing your colors.
I've reached the armhole portion of the camisole no5 and lost the motivation to finish it 😂 First time doing a double sided edge so I'm a bit lost haha. Seeing yours is bringing back the urge to finish it ~
The blue of your poppy Tee suits you sooo well, your face is just glowing! And also I really feel with you regarding the kfo pure silk fingering project: I am making a sunday Tee and I feel like it's taking me forever! It will make a beautiful fabric in the end, I'm sure of it, but I don't think I will knit with it again in the near future... Excited to hear your opinion on these other summer fibers that you got!
Lovely episode! I’m working with a super wash merino and bamboo blend at the moment from a different dyer (but possible the same base), and I am loving it. I do find it a little bit thin, but I think it will be well-suited for a summer garment!
The blanket is so cool! I hear ya on the advents.......have you ever tried Row One subscription? It's a reasonably priced club with beautiful little 20 gram cakes. The colors are always amazing and feature a new dyer every month. You can cancel any time. I liked it because it wasn't theme based and the colors all seemed to go well with each other. Seemed perfect for scrappy projects
Hello 🖐 thanks for a jam packed episode, I love your tee and the blanket is turning out so well, I love your choice of colours in your works in progress, lookimg forward to seeing your green tee finished, ☘☘
I recently did a scrappy granny square blanket and came to the same conclusion as you did about needing more squares but not wanting the project to languish. What I ended up doing was getting some solids, and then I alternated scrappy and solid squares in each row, the effect came out better than I'd hoped and it got the blanket done sooner seeing as I only needed half of the squares to be scrappy :)
Thank you for sharing so many details. it is very interesting . the only thing I wanted to say is that English is not my native language and therefore, for better understanding, I turn on the subtitles, which cover the inscriptions that you leave below. it's just something you didn't think about. thank you again . p.s. the color of the bamboo yarn is insanely beautiful❤
Your blanket project is both beautiful and interesting. I’ve never seen a knitting pattern like that. It made me think of other items that technique might work with, for example place mats.
Your poppy tee is absolutely stunning and that color is incredible on you!! I feel like I usually wait until the end of a video to comment but I was so enamored I wrote this like 14 seconds in... woops
Oh I actually love that summer tee you showed! I’ve found a lot of summer tops that remind me of the ranunculus, and I’m a bit tempted to try them all out!
I don't know why, but I was looking into your hair and thinking how gorgeous it is, so decided to say compliment out loud :)
Thank you!!
I love that you are now choosing colors you want and not just what is popular 🥹❤️ love your makes!😍

Your cobalt blue Poppy Tee is stunning. That is a great color for you.

That blue is STUNNING!!! And now I’m obsessed

I have heard of Row One! They sent me a box to try which I used to start making my granny squares. Also a great option for scrappy projects!

That's a great idea! I like the idea of adding some solid squares in there to give it a cohesive look with fun variegated yarns.
Like your knits!

I just started the cami no.5 last week (I'm turning it into a dress)! I'm doing it in the kfo cottonmerino rust

gorgeous blanket
The jewel colors really do look awesome on you. Excellent choices of your new yarns.
Thank you!
Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock is a great sturdy sock yarn - definitely use it for socks!
Your poppy tee is absolutely stunning and that color is incredible on you!! I feel like I usually wait until the end of a video to comment but I was so enamored I wrote this like 14 seconds in... woops
Your blanket Amy is a wee stunner! Might be a labour of love but… are you sure you don’t wanna keep it?😂☺️
Haha I wish I could! I am happy knowing it is staying in the family! I'll get to see it every now and then :)
LOVE (really LOVE) all you finished items. Great work!!
Oh I actually love that summer tee you showed! I’ve found a lot of summer tops that remind me of the ranunculus, and I’m a bit tempted to try them all out!
Okay, so hear me out: make socks or whatever else you end up planning, but then doing a stripey Musselburgh with your perfect pallete leftovers!
Great episode!
The blanket is gorgeous . How much yarn did you use. Let us know..all that yarn is soo pretty. Keep well ❤
Thank you! I will share the total amount when it is done, but right now it's looking like it will take around 11 balls of the Hue + Me yarn!
Love the blanket! And for the granny squares. Personally I would add 1 or 2 colors thru the blanket. To add a form of continuity. Easier on the eyes:)
That is the plan!
I can get the link to your Ravelry page to work. Has it changed.
Weird it hasn't changed but here it is! www.ravelry.com/people/neknitsamy I will try to update the links
@@neknits thanks that worked first time
