- TV presenter Phillip Schofield has left This Morning after more than 20 years.
The 61-year-old joined the ITV morning show in 2002. He presented his last show on Thursday.
In a statement, Schofield said he was stepping back because the programme "has become the story" and "I want to do what I can to protect the show I love".
On an Instagram story, Holly Willoughby said: "Hi everyone... It's been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour".

What's the big deal with Scofield and his side kick Willoughby? They are two folk repeating the MSM narrative to within in an inch of their lives, without a single original thought between them. This is very unfair. He's still hosting other ITV programmes, so is the problem with Holly perhaps? It's a shame, because they were both so good on This Morning. It doesn't reflect on him what his brother's done, but as usual, the media have made a massive deal out of it.
