My question is why didn't Oprah fact check any of this? I know its entertainment, but she's putting false claims out on her show, and Oprah (and the shows producers) should share in the responsibility of that. As much as I don't like Meghan, people didn't understand what she was really saying. She was saying that they wanted to change the rules for Harry's children so that even when Charles became king and Harry's children became the grandchildren of the Sovereign in the male line, that Harry's children still wouldn't get titles. That was Charles' plan, that only the children of the eldest child of the Sovereign or 1st in line to the Throne get titles. For example, Charles wants to change it do that in future only George's children will get titles, but not Louis', even when they are the grandchildren of William in the male line, and be treated just like Charlotte's children. That way, the number of princes and princesses would gradually reduce. That's why even when Charles became king, Archie and Lilibet didn't become a prince and princess, there was still wrangling going on behind the scenes. Charles no doubt gave in because then it would look like he made the decision based on the fact that they're mixed race, even though this was something he'd long planned, even before Meghan came along. The interview with princess Diana was one step to far those days. The interview itself led to the divorce, the complete splitting, no bodyguards no protection, no nothing. So what exactly has Harry learned from that? He could have had a nice life on the sunny side, doing a good job for the monarchy, for his country (-ies) and work on his position and Meghan could have done the same. It was telling to me that it was Harry's father that cut him off and wouldn't return phone calls. Harry's riff hasn't been with the Queen & not so much his brother. My question is why didn't Oprah fact check any of this? I know its entertainment, but she's putting false claims out on her show, and Oprah (and the shows producers) should share in the responsibility of that. Journalists are required to be able to support their stories, even if they don't name sources. Things like "Archie was denied a title because of his colour". He doesn't have a title because he is more than 2 generations removed from the sitting monarch. Thats British law. As much as I don't like Meghan, people didn't understand what she was really saying. She was saying that they wanted to change the rules for Harry's children so that even when Charles became king and Harry's children became the grandchildren of the Sovereign in the male line, that Harry's children still wouldn't get titles. That was Charles' plan, that only the children of the eldest child of the Sovereign or 1st in line to the Throne get titles. For example, Charles wants to change it do that in future only George's children will get titles, but not Louis', even when they are the grandchildren of William in the male line, and be treated just like Charlotte's children.
That way, the number of princes and princesses would gradually reduce. That's why even when Charles became king, Archie and Lilibet didn't become a prince and princess, there was still wrangling going on behind the scenes. Charles no doubt gave in because then it would look like he made the decision based on the fact that they're mixed race, even though this was something he'd long planned, even before Meghan came along. That's something that will no doubt be implemented to affect the next generation, Louis' children.
