Someone tried to say Rob has lost his passion. He NEVER lost his passion, and this song and album can support that. They said they were going to stop, but when Covid hit, they thought about it and made a comeback. To me, they never went away. This band will always be one of my top favorites.
The album is great but rob has only written maybe half of it? Paul has come on leaps and bounds as a songwriter but it also says to me that other members has to pick up the slack a bit. I love rob Thomas and m20 but I still think he much prefers being a solo artist!
It's easy to forget that desire and passion that you had originally when you were trying to make it. It doesn't mean that the stuff he's writing now isn't good but it might mean that it's not as good.
I just attended the concert last night that I purchased 3 1/2 years ago, it was postponed twice, because of COVID and then rain. It lightly rained during the concert. I bought the tickets for my husband and myself. It will be 2 years in August that he passed away from Covid. The concert was beautiful and perfect. I cried beautiful tears as memories flashed before my eyes of everything we ever did together with your music playing! He was so there with me and when the mist came I knew he was there! Thank you for your beautiful music and all the memories it helped create! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW IMPACTFUL YOUR MUSIC IS! God is soo Good! 💕🙏🏽💕

I was listening to some podcast and a lady there was talking about how she liked when bands put instruments in that don't belong and it works really well. She listed off a bunch of bands that did that but forgot the king, Matchbox 20. They do it all the time. This band is one of the few that survived a 40 year olds path from high school to 40. I remember owning a Hanson CD. I'll admit it. I did that. Most of what I listen to is pretty hard but Matchbox 20 is so good it doesn't matter. I can go back to them anytime and it's not for the memories. They're just really good.

I have lived my life through their music. The greatest compliment I ever received was when I performed a Matchbox 20 and a young boy said I had to be Rob Thomas. I cried knowing he just said I was the greatest vocalist of all time. I so relate to the lyrics of these songs, how can I not feel the emotion. I will see MB20 in Atlanta and Birmingham. Had tickets pre-covid. I am so ready.

I did not even realize there was a different version until this comment. The studio version is terrible compared to this...THIS is one of their best sounds ever, but the studio version I do not get what they are doing turning down the drums and guitars, and auto tuning Rob's voice. But this version is perfect!

I was never a Matchbox20 fan until Bent came out and pretty much loved every song since! Another great song by this band!
This easily sounds better than the studio version. This is the version that should be on the album.
I did not even realize there was a different version until this comment. The studio version is terrible compared to this...THIS is one of their best sounds ever, but the studio version I do not get what they are doing turning down the drums and guitars, and auto tuning Rob's voice. But this version is perfect!
