I'm sad that The A-Team didn't get any sequels. I didn't even know that it was originally an 80s show and this movie was so much fun it still makes me want to watch the show. For me that's still a good remake. It adds something knew to the franchise without taking anything away from the original, and even encouraging watching them back and forth.

I like it when Hollywood Executives are like "Let's take a popular franchise and make an adaptation that's NOTHING like the source material. Because we know exactly what people want to see!"
And it fails miserably EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

You can probably argue there are adapations of popular source materials who don't really translate into proper representations of what they came from that still did well, but at least those still had at least ELEMENTS people could generally get into in some form. Like as bad as some of the Paramount Michael Bay Transformers movies could get there's a reason that five of them were made from Bay and there are still related spin off fare coming out trying to capitalize on that being made now.

Van Helsing knew exactly what it was. Absolutely dumb fun as Richard Roxburgh's portrayal of Dracula clearly indicated. The character designs, gothic vibe and host of various iconic universal monsters was just a wonderfully potent mix that kept me entertained. Also, wolverine becoming a werewolf? Who else could have done it better?
Side note: The "whitewashing" criticisms of Prince of Persia? Where was that when they blackwashed The Little Mermaid recently?

    2. Top 10 Nicest Things Homer Simpson has done.
Examples: "Do it for her," Helping Ned Flourish his Leftorium Store and Saving Springfield from Nuclear Plant Explosion.
    3. Top 10 Times The Joker Got What He Deserved.
Examples: Joker's Last 'Punch' Line - Injustice (2021), Intimidated by Harley's Resolve - Harley Quinn (2023-) and Charlie Collins gets the last laugh - Batman: The Animated Series - (1992-95).
Anyway, excellent video, and may you have a very blessed day today.🙏

    20: Mortal Engines (great movie)
19: Battle: Los Angeles (fairly shallow, I do like aliens but this is a poor film)
18: Madame Web (had a lot of good ideas that weren’t seen through, it’s issues aren’t what is mentioned here… except the Spider-Women)
17: The A-Team (not bad, just missing some magic)
    16: Speed Racer (fantastic film)
15: I Am Number Four (not as bad as it seems, but not good)
14: Van Helsing (could have been more fun but it’s pretty trite)
13: Prince of Persia (great cast and a terrible film, poorly constructed script and direction)
12: Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (great film)
11: The Lone Ranger (blah film with wrong casting and I don’t mean Johnny Depp)
10: The Golden Compass (good film, should have been great)
9: Power Rangers (meh, not as bad as it could have been but still not good)
8: Aragon (better than it’s thought of but not great)
    7: John Carter (great film)
6: Warcraft (good ideas and actors that didn’t come together… close though)
5: Dragonball: Evolution (hard to watch, not much else to say)
4: Green Lantern (Ryan Reynolds tried but failed)
3: Fantastic Four (doomed film… no pun intended)
2: The Last Airbender (it didn’t work, it’s not good, but I thought it was a valid effort)
1: Dark Universe (The Mummy … it didn’t work but it could have been cool)
This list is accurate though the comments are not, not to me at least.

A series of novels are much easier to get as bestseller status than to make a movie a hit.. especially when you have to butcher it so bad all of the ideology is lost in the translation.. or rendered as childish as it always was.

I personally think that Dragon Ball has potential to work as a modern live-action adaptation as long as it remains faithful to the source material instead of making something that barely resembles Dragon Ball. It worked for Pokemon Detective Pikachu from 2019 and the live action One Piece series on Netflix. Of course, not everything NEEDS to be adapted into live-action, but a Dragon Ball live action adaptation could work if given to the right hands.

I would really recommend the TV series His Dark Materials (the reboot of The Golden Compass) starring Dafne Keen. It’s a very underrated show.

Double Dragon (1994) Like This Movie Alot back then but It was the 2nd Live Action video game movie after Super Mario Bros. (1993) So that means It was going to get trampled In the box office Mortal Kombat (1995) Tomb Raider (2001) & Resident Evil (2002) were lucky to get sequels

As a Native American, and a Comanche, i can confidently say "no one had a problem with Johnny Depp playing Tonto over here", that was others from over there

Funny to see that most of these movie franchises were from around 2010. The Mummy from 2017 was probably one of the worst, if not, the worst movie that I ever saw in my life. The worst part is that I saw it in the cinema, and I saw the whole damn thing, hoping every minute that it would get better, but it just never did.

Nothing will ever top Pirates of the Carribean but I would've loved to see a second and third Lone Ranger film. I liked the first and I feel like Depp was born to play Tonto. Also tbh I did think Depp was part native

I definitely disagree about “Whitewashing» term regarding Prince of Persia . Cause authentic Persians were mostly white skinned and ginger haired. Slavic people were the iranian wing as well but moved further to Eastern Europe

The idea of a cinematic universe about Universal monsters sounds awesome.
So I think *Dark Universe* is the worst cinematic Universe being followed by the DCEU.

It would be the fourth if you are counting the 1990s low budget FF production that never really got anywhere.

While G.I. Joe got 3 movies I consider it a failed franchise. Because for one two out of the three movies sucked. For two the storylines were very inconsistent. For three even the first movie was subpar at best. And for four they got too far away from G.I. Joe being A Real American Hero and turned them instead into A Real Globalist Hero. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
