Good upgrades (necessary to stay competitive), and the Sinch is a good climber for a folding e-bike. Surprising the integrated lights are not brake lights though, as those are brake lights on many of their other models. Perhaps it’s because the brake calipers lack the needed sensors? I am glad there are options that use 3in “balloon” tires. I bought a Portola recently, and I like the balance of cushion, handling and lighter weight that tire/rim combination provides. Cable-pull brakes and 4in tires are what caused me to strike the Sinch 2 from consideration. It will be interesting to see what Aventon does for the Sinch 3.
Thank you so much for such detailed review. Between this and the electric brompton u reviewed recently which one u would suggest to a first time e-bike buyer? Also, at 8:50 u showed some waterproof kits for the bike, does it mean it’s not safe to ride this bike in rain?
This bike would be a beast with a 750W motor. The 500W is decent on hills and is easy enough to pedal over 20 mph. It will be interesting to see what they do with the Sinch 3.
Theoretically, would aventon be able to unlock this model to class 3 in their app like their other bikes or would that require an overhaul of the physical components of the bike?
Confused as to why the rear lights are not brake activated. Earlier versions of Aventon bikes have brake activated lights. Why would they reduce that safety feature?
True, wanted to mention the temperature can affect the battery but I understand how it was stated might imply the GPS was affected, which is not the intention. I did notice the GPS and the display read out was slightly off from each other, though the GPS tends to lag behind depending on the connection. The GPS did read 20mph with throttle and 25mph with PAS, the bike performed as advertised.

Love the color
Thanks for the review. Which helmet are you using in this video that had a clear visor?
It's the Ultra Ebike Helmet from Lumos.

Just wish they would have given the motor the 750w upgrade & the 28mph speed. Would have been a easy buy.

How does using panniers on the rear rack (as many people do for shopping or commuting) affect the visibility of the taillights on the rear seat stays?

Not sure but no motor cutoffs on the levers means no way to actuate the brake light.
GPS accuracy is not effected by temperature
