    The Motocross Action wrecking crew has been riding, racing and testing the 2023 250 four-stroke models for months now and after gathering opinions from test riders of all shapes and sizes we've finally complied the results of our Shootout. With KTM and Husqvarna being all-new for 2023 and the Kawasaki KX250 receiving a hefty list of changes, our test riders had their work cut out for them, comparing the updated bikes with the unchanged Yamaha YZ250F, Honda CRF250, Suzuki RMZ250 and GasGas MC250F. Watch this video to get our opinion on the pros and cons of each 2023 dirt bike, and then check out our individual test videos on each bike to learn more about them.

    These shootouts should just have lap times to settle it out. Take bias and preference out of it, overall, which bike allows riders to get around the track the fastest. Have a pro, intermediate, and beginner category.

      Yes and no. Anyone with motocross bike experience can feel a difference between the KTM bikes and the Suzuki. It’s noticeable. Will they be better riders? Not necessarily. But you get off the RMZ and get on the GasGas and it feels like you put a freakin supercharger on your bike. Much stronger power

Which makes bikes like the kawi and yz which or more compliant out of the box and easier to set up show up a little more. But I'm a tinker my bike isn't the same set up when I got it off the showroom floor. So what does a bike feel like when you spend time and tune it

Yamaha doesn't even cover the wheel bearings on their bikes. Completely exposed. My bike cranks up every time.. better on fuel. Lighter than yam. • @E63s_Scott
      @E63s_Scott ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with this. I’ve been a long time KTM owner of several CCs including 2 250f’s and 2 350f’s. I’ve been following the hype of yams and wanted one so I rode a 2022 yam 250f with a pull FMF pipe and hard hitting map on the ECU and was massively underwhelmed it felt very flat, had an ok bottom but was really slow vs a stock ktm 250f and I ride in the mid range usually. I recently rode a 2023 yam 250f at a test day in the aggressive map it was much better but again I wasn’t blown away like everyone is of the mighty killer engine? The chassis and suspension I liked but need more time on vs the motor I can get used to that quickly. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by KTM engines for years. The only thing I don’t like about a ktm engine is it seems to have a more engine brake heavier feel with a stock pipe

These parts are a choice made by the manufacturer affecting ergonomics (a scored criterium) and are unlikely to be changed by most riders, at least not right away.
