When I was 6, my grandmother died. When I went back to school, my kindergarten teacher from the previous year gave me a book that said something along the lines of, "how to understand grief" or something, but targeted towards kids my age. I still remember that gesture, 19 years later! Thank you, Mrs. Parliman!
We will always remember those special teachers in our lives. Mine was Mrs. Southern. She had beautiful auburn colored hair and blue eyes. She was probably in her early 60s when she was my kindergarten teacher. I don't know where she is now, but I often think about her still.
