I like the right-of-way detail. Great job making the ballast look prototype with the varying shades of stone and where vegetation grows between the tracks. Takes a great deal of time and effort to do that.
Spotted the Hadrian bar on the golden 🦅 eagle 4482 LNER , 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃, northern belle , , pulling 239 tonnes along the track, watching from the gaming chair swivelling around in front of TV gives the extra feel when hammering it round the curves and straights of the line , , liked the o view also from the eyes 👀 of the train spotter jotting down numbers at 22 mins and onward , standing in sindings view of steel wagons painted up on full power , amazing video Mick 👍☕
Got to agree with a lot of comments on here,,what a great layout,, and I love the different perspective,,, it did feel realistic,,, a dream I never fulfiied,, but love watching how others have made it possible for the likes of me to enjoy,, thanks Mike 👍

What a fabulous set this is. The attention to detail and the overall structure is amazing. Just imagine having this as a 10 year old boy. You would never need computer games you would be in your own world. Absolutely stunning how it has all been thought through.
Mick, I think that your model railway is outstanding in many ways. Looking at this running session, I am struck by just how excellent the track is, the multi coloured ballast, the different shades of green in the vegetation and trees, the positioning of the greenery alongside the track. And the brick viaduct you have built at 19 minutes 15 seconds into the video is superb with its uneven wall toppings and lovely curve. The excellent lineside equipment and detailing. What a pleasure it must be to see this every day. Thanks for sharing it with us all. Charles.

@@michaelsmith-hn1cn I will look out for them. The detail is amazing, even down the vegetation between the tracks! You are doing a truly tremendous job. Thank you for sharing it all!
Amazing Mick, I especially like the extra realistic detail like the 4 aspect signalling, S&T ducts & cabinets, cables, point motors and the sections of rail and other lying around.
i like the use of a "run along" loco with cameras at both ends if thats how you used it. absolutely lovely layout that will and should motivate others to go and sit and play with and improve their own spreads. well done. taking that steam model the LNER up to speed was a treat as well
Captivating. The whole layout is captured so well with the video. Those sound chips are pretty amazing, I've not ventured into sound yet. Loft layouts definitely rule. Looking forward to the next video.
To say I am overwhelmed by this would be an understatement. The pure logistics of a build of this size and complexity totally defeats me. The detail. The scenics. The rolling stock. The character. Outstanding. Where on earth do you begin? I assume you never end. I have a little N guage layout on a board in my garage that I built 20 plus years ago. Despite some issues with my simple wiring it does still run and that in itself is a simple pleasure and that is perhaps what it is all about. I cannot imagine how you would ever break down a layout of this size and remove it from its current location. Mine slides into the back of a car with the seats folded down...small mercies eh! Thank you for posting. I am in awe!
Quite impressive. Rails, ballast, grass, fences, small walls, point boxes and all the stuff along the way are... real. Just watch the video from about 3:50 focusing on the tracks, and when he'll appear on the right side less than a minute after, your first impression will be "what the... that's a GIANT there?" before remembering that you're looking at a model railway.
Great running session, enjoyed the steam effect from your "Golden Eagle". 20 weathered wagon train looks the part but don't envy the time and effort it took to do them. Enjoyed the sound the class 37 made especially on your slight incline. Thanks for sharing please take care and stay safe..
You've certainly managed to take a 40 foot loft and turn it into 500 miles of track, trains and detail. Fantastic stuff and such a feat with what I thought was O gauge too! Coming from the OO gauge side myself, I know space can be an issue but you're lay-out, modelling and camera-work are superb. Thank you for the great running session, sir. Keep Well now. Cheers! [Edit: Missed Context]
Thanks very much for a great comment, yes I'm very lucky to have this space and the OO is just right for me. N gauge is to small but I do have a O gauge 37 that I run up our club. All the best. Mick
Huh, I'm a bit disappointed the barriers at the level crossing didn't go up after the train pass through, only joking but WOW what a fantastic layout, even if I won the lottery I'd never would have the time to build such a brilliant railway...hope the wife doesn't decide to move to the seaside.

Amazing railway, I’m inspired by yours and considering buying a new larger shed to accommodate a layout.
Hello again Alan. I use a CMX cleaner, some times a rubber and sometimes a piece of rag with white sprit. I use white sprit in the CMX. Thanks for asking. A Henry hoover to go over the track and a soft brush over the buildings with the Henry. Mick
Thanks a lot Mick. Been collecting stock the last 2y, dreaming of a layout. Wish I could just download all your skills and knowledge of building one. But, learning is part of the fun!
Thanks again Alan. So we could see you on TH-cam at some point with a fantastic layout. Enjoy your building. Mick.
Absolutely amazing
Thank you David for that, hope you enjoyed it my last viewer did not like the camera work. All the beast. Mick
Well Done. Thank you for posting
Thank you John, hope enjoyed it. All the best. Mick
Very impressive!
Thank you! Cheers! Thanks for watching. Mick
Wow! How do you get the sound effects and steam from the locos...I assume this isn't your bog standard Hornby models?
The Loco's have what is known as a sound Decoder inside each Loco. You purchase them with the sound of the class of loco you want. I'm I have already replied to this but I have replied again. Take care. Mick
