I wanted to make a video for everyone out there that might be getting their first Pixel device. In this video I show you the first 10 things you should do when you get the Google Pixel 6a. Please let me know if you have any other things you do.

3 button user. Because I'm used to it and getting old and reluctant to change lol
I can't do the buttons anymore
I'm not that old but have used android since Samsung galaxy S3. First thing I did on my new pixel 6a is turn on the 3 buttons. I need my back button.

I wish though you had the option of ordering the buttons the way you wanted them. I'd like the back button on the right.

Finally got my 6a, setup and everything is great. We are trying to get used to this platform coming from Samsung since the S5. However already I love the feel and look, but like you say its like glass, it slips and slides all over the pocket and anything except my hand. Got ur recommended case coming to summarize. lol
How do I add the shortcut in on on the Lock Screen like the home icon on the bottom left of your Lock Screen
I like the three button layout better since I got used to it on my 4a!

Thanks for the help. learned a lot from this video. Is there a way to make the bottom row of icons stationary? Last app used keeps bumping others on my setup.

On the 3 buttons. I don't have a consistent touch and so the buttons are more reliable. Sometimes swiping works and sometimes it doesn't

I'm disabled and nav buttons make things quick and easier. I did use swype for a while on my 2xl and 3a XL.

Always on display uses a lot of battery so take that into consideration when deciding if you want to use it. Personally, I used it for the first couple of weeks and then turned it off. Made a huge difference in battery life
I just Bought my Pixel 6a second hand to use as a Business phone and I'm seriously impressed with this phone, my personal phone is a Iphone 14 pro max and I honestly like the pixel a lot more it's less restricted on applications but still just as secure as the iphone, this is just my opinion but the photo quality seems to be better and clearer than apple , the UI and software is a lot smoother and works a lot better than iOS, I have no complaints at all for the pixel 6a it's an amazing phone to use, in fact it's such a good phone I'm seriously thinking about ditching apple and going Pixel all the way.

Thanks for the video. Sorry to disappoint you, but I like the 3 buttons. I found the swipe-motions to be inexact.
Plus the button is more motion efficient.
Try it. With the swipe motion, it's two steps; 1) Touch, 2) Swipe
With Buttons, it's one step motion: `1) Touch
Sometimes, newer isn't always better.

I’m used to gestures because I use an iphone, so for me I prefer the swipe motion. I find the 3 buttons take up too much space. I like more minimalistic.

i use 3 buttons cause its WAY easier and i dont have to swipe the shit out of the display and make it all greasy like my hair .. so its easier to use and keeps the screen cleaner

How do you get rid of the time & temp in the upper left corner?

a solve for me was downloading another Launcher, like Rootless
Got my 6a but no adaptive sound in the vibration settings,help how
that is very weird
Make sure your System is up to date. When I got my Pixel 6A a couple of days ago, I did not have adaptive sound either. I then found out I did not have the latest updates downloaded on my Pixel 6A and after I downloaded them, adaptive sound was there.
@@charlesdale1428 thanks, yes I already updated, now all set ok updated to android 13, but I noticed when video calling, it overheat always maybe 10 to 15 minutes, and battery drains quickly
@@goodnoodles488 Maybe the overheating in the video calls will be addressed in the next update.
Also, the first week you use the Pixel 6A, the battery learns how you use the phone (adaptive battery) under battery in Settings and after it learns your habits on how you use the phone, the battery lasts a lot longer. I am getting about 12 hours a day but I have not made any video calls.
I’m a 3 button user too many shit goes off in my pocket than I’m on 20%

My pixel 6a doesn't have magic eraser is this a feature that's not included with the 6a?
nope its there on my pixel- its a software feature

Shut off all the apps that you don't use . Keep backlight on 15 seconds.

All those settings will use up more power and reduce battery life
