- Ikon Pass dropped some awesome news in that they are adding three new mountain resorts to their already sick lineup of mountains for the upcoming 2022/2023 ski & snowboard season! In this video, I review these additions and several other updates to their pass packages to help you make the most informed decision this upcoming ski season. I also review new Ikon Pass prices before they all go on sale on March 10th, 2022!

I did get the Ikon pass with the student discount at $769, it's true! Makes sense to go directly for the full Ikon pass if you're eligible for a discount

theres cheaper options for students which makes it comparable to epic pass.

I think I'm right there with you! I had fun with the pass this season and I didn't even get the chance to hit the mountains I really wanted. Which mountains are you most excited for?
@@ActionXander I live in Boston so I'm very excited about using the pass for Sugarbush and Stratton in Vermont. Those mountains are unlimited and they allow free 2022 spring access for the 2022/2023 pass.
@@Grandpamoe that's awesome! I actually just spent a couple days at Killington last month (vlog out soon) and I loved that mountain! I am dying to go check out Sugarbush. How is the spring skiing up there? I would love to get one or two more trips in before summer if you have any recommendations!
Snowbasin can get very icy. Due to sun exposure. But also, I've had there some unbelievable powder days to remember .
Snowbasin is certainly on my wishlist this season!
It happened with Epic, it's happening with IKON. They've all but ruined most resorts here in CO. I've been encouraging folks to support the smaller mountains that still have a shred of dignity. Had pass related issues with both Vail Resorts (Epic Pass) and Alterra (IKON), not to mention Alterra ruining the local "family" resort I used to teach snowboarding at. They're destroying towns, the sport, and all for the benefit of their shareholders. They're run by scumbags.
While I do agree with the notion that most of the corporate overlords are just trying to squeeze as much profit as possible at the expense of their workers and the locals' comfort.... I'm also against gatekeeping mountains and the sport in general. I haven't heard too much about Ikon ruining things but I did hear that Crystal Mountain was an absolute nightmare this season.

@@Little.R absolutely! I totally get it! I'm from Miami Beach and I can't tell you the amount of insanity I have to deal with every year especially when it's spring break month + Miami Music Week 🤣 there just needs to be a better way going about it that's both efficient and not harmful to the locals. I would absolutely love to check out more local mountains like Grand Targhee (even though that's starting to become more commercialized too).
If I purchase a 22/23 2-day pass today. Can I use those two days 10 days from now on the 25th & 26th of March 2022? Or do I have to wait until they are mailed out later in the fall?
Hey! It looks like you'd have to wait til they ship it out to you BUT I think you could actually have your pass printed out at resorts too. I'd definitely ask their customer service about it. What I do know is that if you buy any of the other passes like the Base Pass, Base Pass Plus, and the Ikon Pass; you will get access to Spring skiing at a couple resorts that offer it like Big Bear and Mammoth. Hope this helps!

You can get up to 7 total days at EACH select mountain resort (e.g. A-Basin, Jackson Hole, Crystal Mountain, etc). Ikon has the list up on their website if you want to see which mountain resort you get seven days for
