    Epic pass is $550 for veterans, just a heads up! It’s bad ass. Compared to Ikon which only has a retired or active pass which means you have to have served 20 years or be active duty to get ANY benefit.

    The Epic Day pass is also good if you have a different pass and want to hit one of the Epic mountains for a trip with friends or some other reason. I got a 2 day pass last year for a trip before thanksgiving before my mountain opened. Great Video keep it up.

    I'm a SoCal so it's been IKON for a while. For NoCal I did Heavenly and Palisades last year and preferred ICON's Palisades. For SoCal its always Mammoth. Even with the drive it will be a great weekend. Travel to Utah... it's the Bird. Travel to Colorado it's the Aspens.

    The mountains on the Epic pass on the East are closer to home if you live in Boston which is good if you want a home mountain. Stowe is the only mountain with blackout dates on the East with the Epic local pass. On the Ikon pass you only have Stratton and Sugarbush for unlimited with don’t have blackout dates. In VT, you can’t go wrong with either pass but it all depends on what mountains you want to ski. In NH, the Epic pass has Crotched, Sunapee, Attitash and Wildcat which are unlimited while Ikon only has Loon. The White Mountain superpass is another option for NH. In Maine, the Ikon pass has Sunday River and Sugsrloaf while the Epic pass doesn’t have any mountains. I had the Ikon pass and left it to get a Killington season pass so I have unlimited access and could head up when I want doing 3 3 day weekends plus before my home mountain opens and after my home mountain closes. I get my use out of my home mountain when I don’t head north.

    Really good video ! I agree that so much depends upon where you live and which resorts you love. I do really like the days option that Epic has so you can still enjoy a resort for a trip but get the discount. What I forgot to consider was the additional discounts you get. Good call. When I go to Mammoth IKON pass holders get discounts on food and merch. Its a nice extra perk to get. Looking forward to your review of the IKON pass.

    Great video on the pros and cons.I'd love to see you spend some time out east one year to explore our options and give an objective opinion on where to go and if EPIC is worth it here. I've been doing it the last three seasons since we do 20-30 days, mostly in NJ/NYC (primarily Hunter), a few weekends in VT (Okemo and Stowe), and whatever time we can make it out West (Park City and BC/Vail this past year). It's now starting to become a major factor in how we travel though since my older Groms are 7 and have to be on full EPICs now, so to make the most, instead of heading to our local mountain most weeks, we'll do Hunter and are planning trips to Stowe and Christmas as Whistler plus any weekend we can get in VT and out West.

    • @LucasCatania17
      @LucasCatania17  ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks man! i know it would definitely be helpful to a lot of people if i got a read on the east coast mountains someday. my plan is to definitely check them out - its just hard to leave the west especially after the winter we had last year!

    The unlimited pass seems like the best. Why pay 600 for a 7 day pass. When you can get unlimited for 900?! I'm in the eastcoast and just learning about this pass. I can't believe its only 900, when single day tickets at my local mountain are 110. Such an amazing deal to be able to go to all those places for only 900. Great video!

    The PNW is a hard sale for Washingtonians considering Epic or Ikon.
    You’re right, Epic only gets you one in state resort Stevens, and Whistler just 4 hours away in BC.
    The sad trade off is Ikon only gives 7 days each at Crystal and Snoqualmie. So if you plan to ski more than 14 days in state, you’re out of luck.

    Pennsylvania skiing generally not worth the cost and time. Been doing it for decades and it usually sucks. It is good for learning to ski on ice and in other shite conditions. That's it. Luis, I just upgraded to the full pass last night to go to Kicking Horse. Be there Feb 3-10. If you're there then, beers on me.

    So I got 3 days of the epic 7 day pass, and I paid for the extra “peak dates” package. Does that cover blackout dates (I’m planning to propose to my gf Jan 13/2024 at keystone, but I see it listed as a blackout date) the website and app haven’t been helpful and I haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone.
