I like your intro shot where it shows the big Gulf and Kelly Tire signs because I grew up with those signs, my father owned a Gulf station and sold Kelly tires. Keep up with the excellent videos.
I've polished many a stainless fire arm in my day, and there's nothing more satisfying than watching dull grey stainless come to life. Excellent job Matt! And as always, a pleasure to be part of the Free T's journey. Cheers! Zip~
One of the important ideas to embrace is the fact that everything doesn't have to be 100% perfect for it to be attractive and enjoyable. I've seen some guys whose pursuit of perfection really makes their efforts become just...well...it becomes WORK. Happily, for some of us, that's not what this is about.
Awesome Matt! I picked up a set of '36 Spiders that I put on my '37 V8-60 Tudor. I found mine from in the barn of an old hot rodder. He sold me them for $75 for the set. They all have damage, but look great regardless! Free T is looking great!
Just loving it!!!! And The fact that you take the time and make these vids and that you even have what you call "sunday service" just makes my rodder heart all warm and fuzzy. 😎👍 Keep on keeping on from northern sweden.
Love the trim rings and caps. I learned to drive in a 58 Chevy my father had. I painted the wheels black and put trim rings and baby moon caps on. It was cool looking to me.
I've been keeping up with this build when I can and I'm glad I did. You have so much knowledge that you're just giving away. I've learned some new techniques and have some ideas of my own. But overall, this makes me want to build my own Model A or Model T. Great work!
Thanks for the kind words! I don’t know everything but I try and share the stuff that helps me during a project hoping others can get value from it. Thanks for watching! -Matt/ITG
I restored a set of old kelsey hayes wheels to run on my '37 ford yrs ago..it was a pain, lol. Im now running modified original '37 caps to fit my 15s..pretty cool thing, never seen another like it.
To over the top? I don't think so at all, you did a great job on making them straight and the polishing really came out nice. How often do you have to put the rouge to the wheel while you are polishing. Seeing how you are with the wheel covers, i'm sure you will be the same way with the rest of the assembly.. Can't wait to see it completed.. There is a light at the end of the tunnel..
The v8 in the center would look awesome painted. Maybe the v painted white and the 8 painted red. Those caps look AMAZING. How many hours did it take start to finish?
I like the hubcaps, they do look nice. But.......I think being able to see the wide-five wheels would be better, would give the car a meaner more purposeful hot rod look.
It’s an old 32 Ford “B” race engine with a Vintage Riley 4 port conversion. We did a little video on mounting it on the stand a while back. A someday project!
I don't think so too over top really going to look good with that mirror like paint It's funny you do this video I'm doing the same on some outside window trim on my car rite now
I use a polishing wheel in the white sticks to polish hubcaps the wheels a little smaller, how many times have you had it grab something and sling it against the wall or nearly injure you. I get afraid of that wheel sometimes.

Thanks so much for watching!!
When that cap hit the first polishing wheel, it was so satisfying seeing the shine develop as you worked it!
The money shot! Haha
Having the right tools make repairs so much easier. Caps, trim rings and wheels look very nice.

i love the look of those wheels & tires. much cooler than 24's ....
Repair requires a lot of labor, but you can replace dewflew it directly. It doesn't seem to be very expensive. It's cheaper than repair labor costs.
Way better than I thought. Y’all are killing it Matt! Glad to see a smaller tire in the front.
From an editing/production perch, your choice of music for the final polish was perfect.
Thanks Peter Mike has been doing a great job at editing these!

Eye-popping! Love it and a great demo on polishing stainless. Thanks for the video.

Matt I sure enjoy your vidieo's and I like your approach to building the free T, have a good day.
I appreciate you watching! -Matt/ITG
Its neat to see how simple the chassis is on those old hot rods, its almost more like an advanced go cart than a car. LOL!
Turned out great and they will look really nice on the T. Can't wait to see it finished. ~Pat
Nice Job Matt, Amazing the amount of detail work going into this build.

They look damn nice, I see I am going to have to invest in some of the polishing wheels I'm getting to old for all this hand polishing.

Wow looks great, now how do ya keep a shine on magnesium for more than a few weeks?
What engine is that in the back ground at 13:21??

No, the hubcaps are not over the top they are just right they look great on the car.
I don't think so too over top really going to look good with that mirror like paint It's funny you do this video I'm doing the same on some outside window trim on my car rite now
What are the name of the pads you use
Great content however TH-cam inserts more and more ads seeking the tipping point of unwatchability.
Hay Matt...what's your dogs name and what breed is it?
OBTW...love your work
Repair requires a lot of labor
You put the hubcap on crooked.
