gorgeous block. Looks super fun and easy. Reminds me of a windmill lol
It was a really fun block to sew! I agree it does resemble a windmill!
I was wondering how it was going to turn out but I love it ❤ it would make a great quilt in any 2 colors!
Beautiful fabrics
Thank you! 😊. I was surprised mine were all pretty neutral, but I think I made it work for this block!
Thank you, Fallon. I like the way it came together. Marion in Oregon
You’re welcome, Marion!
Love the block
Thank you!
Looks beautiful ❤
Thank you!
I love that pattern!
Thank you! It was so easy to sew too! I think it would look really good in so many different colors
Such a beautiful box! Love your channel Fallon! Love your teaching style too ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Such a cute variation! I like your color choice. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much
U have a really calming voice. Great pattern.
Thank you!
So cute! I love that fabric that has several different prints on it. I have looked at it at my local quilt shop. Now I want to get some! I also have those fork pins and haven't used them yet. Digging them out! Thanks, Fallon! Love this!
I didn’t even know that type of fabric existed! It was so fun! I may have to look for some.
Great block
Thank you!
Super cute!
Thanks! 😊
The bock is so adorable, AI lso love The material choice. Thanks for the tutorial
You’re welcome!
FUN!!! Thank you.
Fallon, I always get excited when I get a notification from your channel! I’ve been recovering from surgery and have considered pausing my subscription boxes but I just love Open Gates so much that I can’t bring myself to do it! I do plan to jump back in to make this block but I have a few things to catch up on!❤
I am wondering if those of you who get the box received different fabrics than I did! Did you open your box yet?
@ I haven’t been able to open my box yet. I had surgery on Monday and I’m not quite ready to dive back in yet! In the past though, the fabrics I’ve received have been the same as what others have received. However, this being a new year, it may be different!❤️
@@LauraSup I hope you are recovering well.
@ thank you! I am but recovery is never as quad you’d like it to be!🥰
Love this block! It has so much movement.
I agree!
I love that block!! I sure want to try it.
It is a fun and quick sew!
I love this!
Thank you!😊
Great block! I will do a sample with some fabric I plan on using for my nephew’s son’s quilt.
That is awesome! What colors are his fabrics for the quilt?
@ the center rectangles will be orange with Hotwheels, then a bright green and medium blue. Will send you a picture of my mock up. Thinking of a solid black square alternating with the twisted log cabin.
@@debragerum7678 That sounds like it will be very pretty!
@ Thank you Fallon, always look forward to your videos. Have a great day.
Love the block I would love to make it. Thank you.
I also would like to let you know I have your rulers and absolutely love them. Thank you
Oh thank you! I am so glad you like them!
Hi. I have your 24" slidelock and it's getting harder to press down. It also squeaks pressed. Is there something I can do to make it easier??? I love my slidelock.
When it is set flat in a surface push the handle forward a little then press it. If that doesn’t help try the other direction.
If it is really cold where you are sometimes a change in weather can cause the wood to expand as well.
@@sewbeitquilts thank you for answering. I will try that. I live in Ky and my home is usually around 68-70. I don't think it is that cold to affect the wood. Our home is quite dry also. I will let you know if the slidelock changes. You are very sweet.
I like the fabrics that were sent to you. However, you said they sent you a Fat Quarter (FQ). I don't think that is accurate. You placed the fabric on your mat, one corner was at 11 inches, up and down. I caught that same side at the 2 in mark, so the fabric is only 9 inches wide... the selvedge edge, and the other side would have been the fold, but it was cut. They gave you a Fat Eighth. 9 X 18. A yard is 36 inch long by 42 or 40 inches wide. The wide part rolls off the bolt. A fat quarter is 18 X 22 typically, and a fat 8th is 9 X 22 Can't wait until you have more to share with us.
Thank you. I must have misspoke and didnt catch it in editing.
Hi I would like to watch but can't hear you very well. To quiet..pump up your volume a bit. Thanks...then I will watch and join. Right now to frustrating
I’ll keep that in mind for my next video. Thanks for the feedback.
I actually hard to turn the volume down a bit, and I have hearing issues. 🤷🏼♂️
The volume on my iPad was very good.
@@LaVonne23 Thank you for letting me know. It sounded ok for me, but you just never know.
I could hear it I had to turn my volume all the way up and it was still pretty low.
You not coming across very loud can hardly hear you!! 2:44
Sorry, on my end the volume is fine, but I will keep that in mind for the next video I make.
@@sewbeitquiltsyou sound just fine to me
