Having flown Air Arabia’s Pakistani subsidiary, Fly Jinnah, I can say that Fly Jinnah lives up to the standard. From my experience on Fly Jinnah, I can determine that Air Arabia will also live up to my expectations. After all, Fly Jinnah is literally a Pakistani version of Air Arabia. Hopefully, once you get your Pakistan visa issue sorted, you can fly on Fly Jinnah and see how that compares to Air Arabia.

Actually amazed you got free meals! It's always paid or you have to pre-select it while booking your ticket :) I always flew Airarabia from SHJ to Indian airports like MAA haha
Everyone got a free meal on this flight. It seems to be on Cairo flights only. Everywhere else you’ve got to pau.
Please reveal why low cost airlines need to offer meals on way to/from Cairo
I don’t know! But I think it’s a demand from Cairo itself so that airlines compete more fairly with their local airline.. Not sure.

I would say flydubai as they’ve got IFE and more beverage choices, but they’re kind of a hybrid airline and not so low cost anymore..

Great trip report, I would personally refuse that guy to sit with me and ask him to move back otherwise he can wait for another flight. Refusing to sit with a woman is ridiculous beyond words.
Yeah, they still do this in some places. It has improved a lot though. When I moved to the Middle East in 2012 it was almost every flight when you would see it but now it’s very rare, just some very conservative people that continue to care.

24:27, Good luck. Last year in July, I was able to fly the airline that I never heard of, Salam air, Airbus A321neo from Prague to Phuket via Muscat, both flights are 6 hours long, it's okay. I would like to fly Air Arabia 1 day.

Don’t have time for all that as of now.. Very busy this month. Most of the flights I don’t even film.
I’ll fly Abu Dhabi-Sarajevo, Belgrade-Dubai, Dubai-Amsterdam-Dubai-Barcelona-Dubai this month and only will be filming the first one 😂

I prefer to fly a321neo of Air Arabia than a320 because of the legspace it offers.

Flap 3 configuration policy of an Indian airline and a captain raising his objection against has made him jobless since he flagged it, almost 4 years or more.
The taxi’s became super expensive!!
And I suspect the flap 3 configuration in India would be IndiGo. They did that in an airline I know and it caused a lot of trouble. You can’t go against the better judgement of a pilot..

@TheLayoverAviation The flap 3 was raised by Air Asia India captain, who was also ex-indigo captain.
Many a320 pilots of India do not find it a big safety concern as this guy raised.
Since then, he didn't fly for any airline.

Hey Maurice! They do have some subsidiaries that went bust, but the main one for sure not, they’re doing too well and are the “flag carrier” of Sharjah. It is a vital interest to that Emirate.

Triggered a memory from 1999.
Charter from Norway to Phuket Thailand on a worn down DC10.
Sharjah was a stopover due to the needed refueling.
We was guided to a breakfast room and got some soup and strange food meanwhile the fuel was handled.
Met a Sheikh with a golden ( Agal?) normally only seen a black style of them.
He had a personal military looking guard in a thick wool home front looking uniform.
The golden Sheikh was slim, but his guard was a short built 500+ LBS guy.
Looked like he was just checking the status of the at the time small airport, who knows.

Always nice to see "Entebbe" in your videos. Air Arabia flies to Entebbe on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. It is a 5-hour flight. Is there any particular reason for advancing the thrust when the brakes are still on? Great video Alex and for that price, I wouldn't mind the chaos at Sharjah Airport.
I do hope to go to Entebbe myself. The thing is that no business takes me there at all. Last time was like 7 years ago and I can barely remember as some local colleagues took me out to some crazy pub and the rest is history.
The reason for the trust I would know if it was icing conditions, but now nothing except if the plane has a suspected thrust calibration issue.
So throttles are advanced to check if they’re both calibrated before selecting take off thrust.

Nice trip, visited cairo late 1975 it was alredy big back then, want to go back and visit The museum again.
Now it’s car honking left and right, it drives me mad! 😂
When they taxi with 1 engine. How do pilots make sure engine 2 is started well and works. There is no agent to tell them
There are systems inside the aircraft that tell the pilots about any errors and the pilots can hear the thrust and sound of the engine to make sure. At @8:46 the pilots spool up the engines to about 50% thrust or around that much. They do this to hear the engines and make sure they're working properly, so if the engines sound normal, the pilots will put them to their take-off thrust for a safe take off.
Of course they can check! They have lots of instruments. Plus the plane would never be able to take off on one engine.
Don’t worry, that won’t happen, lots of checklists and preventions!

1:43 ah because it is LUX. There in the Middle East, LUX was and still is popular. As you will find their classic bars still at most supermarkets in contrast to Europe. Regrettably, their scent ist not as strong as it used to be thanks to higher restrictions of ingredients.
I’ve got Lux at home, but wouldn’t consider buying it at an airport.. But ok, what you say makes some sense.. Never seen it in Europe though.
