Thank you for your videos. I am travelling to Philippines next week and I'm nervous, but I appreciate the information on your videos. You are very informative. 😀
It's like this in most major cities in the world, crooks, thieves and scammers. Always someone looking to get something for free. Thanks for the info. Be safe.
i don't comment much, but one more positive comment should help the haters looking smaller, your videos are nice and i learned a lot about philippines before i did go there to meet my one, you and the filipina pea really made my travel easier in a lot of ways, keep sharing culture and sending positive energy, and thank you for all the effort put in the videos.
I have no personal knowledge of what I'm about to say but I've heard of it from travelers. Always wait untill you get your belongings from the trunk before you pay the taxi driver. If you pay first then get out of the taxi the guy can just drive off with your stuff.
I love the colors in your studio, perhaps just a little brighter light on you to see you better. love your hair style and love you... an amazing woman.
Situational awareness is key. And going out with the presumption that you will encounter a pickpocket, a thief and a scammer. Put things in front pockets or pockets with button, watches that are not easily removed, etc. Take the necessary precautions and the perpetrators will note that you are not an easy target and move on to a softer target
It's very common and sometimes even necessary to walk along the outside edge of the actual street in the Philippines (as you've pointed out yourself). So, when walking in the street like that make sure your bag is slung over the opposite shoulder, not the one facing the street. Also, no matter which shoulder you're wearing it on, make sure your bag isn't hanging over onto your back where it's easy to grab. Main thing, as always, is vigilance. Keep relaxed, but always look around to see what's what and who's where. It's not an unduly "dark" form of thinking to let yourself imagine what people are capable of, and to then take even minor steps aimed at thwarting those possibilities. Plus, don't walk alone when other people also happen to be walking the same route. Sidle up next to them and chat. This will make you a great deal less vulnerable. Filipinos, unlike Americans and other Westerners, tend to cluster together anyway. If they enter a nearly empty theater they'll naturally go sit right next to whoever's already there. So even if you sidled up next to someone and didn't even say anything, they wouldn't view that as odd. Couple of things you might think to address sometime, Rubeauti, if you haven't already done so, are drivers licenses and cell phones in the Philippines. As long as a foreigner's valid drivers license is in English, it's good for 90 days from the date you arrive. (If it's not in English, your foreign embassy will replicate it for you IN English.) Obtaining a valid Philippine drivers license primarily requires passing a written test as well as doing a quick spin around the lot driving a stick shift, plus a fee the equivalent of $27 USD. If you cannot operate a stick shift, learn how. Cell phones, on the other hand, have to be of the unlocked sort, and have to use the GSM network (at least 2G) on either the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz band. Then you just purchase a loaded SIM and reload as needed. You can purchase a SIM card right there in the airport. Are these safety issues? Yes. Or they certainly can be. Being able to make calls as soon as you arrive in the Philippines can very much tie into safety issues, because the less wandering around you do on foot, the better. The less you climb into strangers' cars the better too. And knowing that you're allowed to drive frees you up to either lease or purchase a vehicle, bypassing not only all of this taxi grift but also keeping you from walking here and there so often. Lease right there in the airport. Or if you've planned out what and where you want to purchase, you can bet they'll come pick you up from the airport just to make that quick sale. So here we are back to that cell phone again. :)
Great suggestions. The lighting inside is fine, we're here to listen to your content. I think being safe is the most important thing a visitor can do, thanks for your recommendations.
Thank you lovely Rubeauti! You're so right, people need to learn about places they go to. I used to work years ago supporting victims of crime, thousands of young people having their phones snatched because they walk along city centre streets at night looking at their screens! Robbers commonly use pedal bicycles here because they can't be traced. If you're going drinking in clubs and bars, buy a refurbished phone, very cheap, use that instead of your iPhone ten! Take care lovely lady, really like the studio! How about some pictures of posters on the walls? You could use the theme of the talk for them? Love you too! ❤️🥰
Great video, super informative, thank you so much, your information was much more detailed than most other sites, they only say don't get scammed by taxis or keep an eye on your belongings, but they never tell you why or give details on how to do those things. Your videos are always detailed, helpful, honest, and down to earth, thank you so much for that. The lighting was fine by the way, I don't have any problems with the background either because I come here to watch you, not what's around you. Keep doing what you're doing, because it works. I can't wait for the next video. Take care ❤️✌️

Lots of good advice and tips here Rubeauti, well done. You need to be careful and alert wherever you go really, all places have their areas to avoid at night. I had my phone stolen in a crowd surge at a Sinulog festival, that won’t happen again. An old guy scammed me in Manila, but I knew what he was doing. He looked so poor and it was only a couple of dollars, so I was ok about it. Manila taxi drivers are the worst I’ve experienced for trying to scam me, but I never let them. I give a big tip to the ones who don’t, when I use taxis or trikes. Soon be at 15 k subs, well done. Keep doing what you do.
GREAT actions ,, SUPPORT the Honest taxi guys and the decent people ,, . I come from a NON tipping country but EVERY morning the hard working maids that come to clean my hotel room find 100 peso on each pillow waiting for them ,, they are the hard workers and the ones that deserve a hand up.
That’s good. Yes I always leave money for the room cleaners but I’m not sure they always get it. The hotel always send someone to check the room before I check out so I think they probably take it. That’s why I try to give it directly to the cleaner if I can.
What a helpful video thanks. A couple weeks ago I was in Mandaluyong there in Manila and a guy was following me as I walked down the sidewalk I would turn right he would turn right following me. I was suspicious of him and was watching him when some security guards for a department store grabbed him and prevented him from doing whatever he was planning on doing to me.

Hello Rebeauti great advice as always , I always take the white taxi over the years I have learnt the prices so most of the time I don't have any problems I dress very basic shorts and shirt I never bring my watch when I travel I also tan quite well so most taxi drive think I am living in the Philippines :) ATM yes always use the main banks I also have a bank account with HSBC they are a world bank and I find this very useful for travel. I am happy to say over all the year of traveling I have never ran into any sort of problem of course as you said you must be aware of the area you go to . Thanks again always great videos.take care always .
I use Landbank since they accept monthly direct deposit of Social Security and other U. S. Government checks. I withdraw enough money from my bank to get by for two weeks and just carry enough money I need when I go shopping and paying bills. I feel much safer in the Philippines than I did in U.S. big cities with all the gangs, drug dealers and thieves. Most stores and business where I live here in the Philippines have security guards which makes it more safe also.
Loved the province vloggs, it was nice 5o see friends catching up and having a good time. Me personally I like the set up, a lighter shade of purple in the lighting would make it a little less harsh but even the purple looks good.
Hi, Hassen from Canada it’s nice to know those things before traveling it helps a lot. The background light is so nice makes you more beautiful❤️😍 Thank you
Great tips on traveling to Philippines. Most things are just common sense. I never wear an expensive watch or ring. The other thing is watch out for the scammers on the street. Sometimes in a mall you might smile at a pretty girl and they usually smile back and say hello. Sometimes they will stop and talk to you but if they ask you if you would like a massage don’t accept. Philippines is a fun place but just be careful. Manila is not any more dangerous than any big city in the US. Great video Miss Rubeauti.
Hi beautiful as always your advice is very educational your studio is awesome very warm relaxing back lighting. I'm guessing I won't be handing out anymore money to street people. One good thing I've learned from this video is how the taxi meters are calculated everything is noted thanks for your time and effort. I think you need to be careful also because some of the people might not be happy about you exposing their tricks and cons until the next video tc. Be safe.
A good video dear very informative if I was going to the Philippines I wouldn't even stop in Manila unless of course I was going to meet you for a coffee that might make me stop
Thank you for the informative video! I agree, it's always best when traveling or going into something, to be as knowledgeable on both the good and bad thus preparing one for the best possible experience. Wonderful video, take care and as always cherish the moments ✌
Aloha Rubeauti, Thanks for all your videos and I really enjoyed the Provence vlogs…I recently spent 3 months in Bohol this past March-June and had a great time. Happy to say Im heading back in about 12 days for another 2 1/2 months. Your videos are very helpful and provide useful information. Im sure you’ve been told but your a very beautiful lady, the name fits. Cheers, Tomas
Excellent blogger. You are not afraid to ask difficult and controversal questions. Filipinos are much liike many other people in their strong attachment to needing structure and order in their life. While that is a good thing it it also a bad thing. It accounts for Marcos's popularity and the predominance of the Catholic church. The bad side is it retards the development that come from the collision of forces. I do not mean war or conflict but the collision of ideas as occurs in a democracy. I have lived here for three years and love the people and the country but economic stability and creativity are both risky endeavors that are yet to be achieved.
Thanks for your safety tips… the using of the phone while walking I do it daily when I do my morning walk here in Southern California. Will remember not to do that while I’m in the Philippines visiting my relatives. I always take Grab so I know how much ahead of time. Got scammed twice at the airport taking a taxi and taxi van. Can’t speak fluent Tagalog so they see sucker written on my forehead…lol. Grab is so useful that I don’t have to rely on my cousins to take me somewhere.
You are right...I was just in the Philippines a few weeks ago...luckily I had a friend to show me around and hip me to the Foreigner scams...the room ambience looks nice and you are looking (Ru)beautiful..love the hair

Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
screw the haters you are doing a wonderful job Rubeauti, i follow your channel and all your videos because i want to retire to the Philippines some day and you are making excellent content.
Remember that haters are just frustrated people who have no life never ever care what they say.
Yah, I'm waiting for the restrictions to lift.... hopefully I have found my other half this time.
Thank you Rubeauti 🙏 once when I was traveling in Vietnam I was mugged! If I had seen A very helpful and informative video like yours I might have very well avoided the mugging ! Much respect to you and GOD BLESS 🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
Wonderful country. Very friendly very welcome ppl , just be home early, don’t stay late out .!✌️
Loved the province vloggs, it was nice 5o see friends catching up and having a good time. Me personally I like the set up, a lighter shade of purple in the lighting would make it a little less harsh but even the purple looks good.
I always appreciate information on how to navigate new places
The lighting idea 💡 was brilliant ! I like it 😊!
Hi, Hassen from Canada it’s nice to know those things before traveling it helps a lot.
The background light is so nice makes you more beautiful❤️😍
Thank you
Great tips on traveling to Philippines.
Be safe.
Loved the segment on your Province...
Excellent video and advice Rubeauti. Situational awareness and knowing how to protect yourself is critical in todays world. Thank you for sharing
Yes you will get "haters"... take them as a Compliment, it shows that your channel is popular!!

Thank you
Nick
Thank you. Good report/video.
Thank you for the helpful tips.
Love listening to you
Thank you for the information good looking out Rubeautis ❤️❤️
Excellent blogger. You are not afraid to ask difficult and controversal questions. Filipinos are much liike many other people in their strong attachment to needing structure and order in their life. While that is a good thing it it also a bad thing. It accounts for Marcos's popularity and the predominance of the Catholic church. The bad side is it retards the development that come from the collision of forces. I do not mean war or conflict but the collision of ideas as occurs in a democracy. I have lived here for three years and love the people and the country but economic stability and creativity are both risky endeavors that are yet to be achieved.
Lights look perfect!
It must be hard for you to leave the province and go back to Manila I can tell your heart and your joy is big with your province family and friends ❤️🌹🙂
Good to see you back in Manila. Nice top btw
Great video Rubeauti. Thanks for sharing. The lighting doesn't matter coz your smile brightens any room. Did you style your hair?
