Very well done videos. I know that i can check your channel for answers that I'm looking for. Not overly exciting or splashy, just extremely well made and helpful. Thanx.
I did this back in August after watching the video. Everything went smooth until I tried to loosen the nut on the threaded adjuster bolt. I have a 2011 EGC. It felt like someone welded the nut onto the bolt. After about twenty minutes of messing with it, I finally got it loose. I went and picked up a new nut because I trashed the original one. Thanks for another great video!!

Just had 14" handlebars put on my 2006 ultra classic and I took it for a ride today and slowly but surely the clutch is not disengaging. Luckily I made it home but sure would like some tips on what i could do to fix this problem
Question for you. I decided to do this adjustment on my 2015 Road King with 16,000 miles. No issues beforehand other than wanting to tighten up the adjustment in the lever. So once all said and done and done exactly the way the Harley service manual says, I now have a bad vibration in gear while riding. Clutch pulls and engages just fine but bad vibration in the seat in gear. So I reperformed the adjustment turning out shaft 3/4 of a turn and still same issue. Done EXACTLY the way the manual says on a stone cold bike that was sitting for 2 days previously. What gives here, surely a simple 5 minute service has not damaged something.
Hi, need to pick your brain about a problem I have with my 08 Street Glide which I recently bought. After making the clutch basket and cable adjustment my clutch pulls horribly. When pressing the lever the spring on the basket bearly moves and the lever is stiff... The funny thing was after taking off the primary inspection cover you normally don't get much oil spill when the bike is upright but my primary was filled with something like 2 quarts of oil and it spilled all over... Not sure why someone did this. Checked the transmission cover clutch actuator and it's okay, clutch basket nut, and it's solid... Also to make it work at all, had to turn the adjuster bolt in after reaching the resistance instead of going half turnout. Not sure where to go next... The only idea I have left is that my Street Glide has Apehangers and a quite long clutch cable... would that be the cause of my headache??? Not sure where to go next... Regards Simon
Ryan, I replaced my clutch basket assembly and adjusted the clutch internally and extras you described. However, when taking off and I’m 2nd and 3rd gears. I get this slipping feeling when accelerating especially when going up an incline. Any thoughts as to what is causing this?
I have a 2002 fat boy and I’m ran out of threads on the the clutch cable adjustment. Does that mean the cable stretched too much? Or the clutch pack is worn out? The cable is after market maybe 13 years old.
I did that exact thing and still can't get my clutch to disengage the transmission when pulled. If I put the bike in gear I can't roll the bike. So I started all over adjusted at the basket, then the cable adjustment. Still have no clutch. I'm goingmout of my mind. It worked when I parked it and now after the cable change it doesn't. It's the proper length cable but just can't figure it out.
Hey Ryan, huge fan of LAB. I installed new cables for apes and used your video to adjust the primary, but I was wondering at 3:32 it says "newer clutch may need 1 full turn". Is this in reference to the new clutch line, or a overhauled brand new clutch? Also at 3:47 you say to pull the clutch lever 3 times. When doing this are you fully pulling it in or just a wiggle for free play?
Hi Ryan, clutch question. I have a stuck clutch safety switch on my 15 road King. Causing my bike only to be started in neutral. Also effecting. My cruse control not too work. Can I change that switch or do I have to replace my handle bar control. Thanks

Do you adjust it from neutral do you adjust it from first gear nobody ever says that and should it be hot or cold
Nice, I always thought you tightened until you see deflection, that plate sort of moving in and then back off 1/2 to 1 full turn

So why take inspection cover off? You said to drain oil isn't there an oil drain plug?
Its a T 27 there buddy but good video
I have a 2002 fat boy and I’m ran out of threads on the the clutch cable adjustment. Does that mean the cable stretched too much? Or the clutch pack is worn out? The cable is after market maybe 13 years old.
Put some tape on the end of that wrench so you don't nick the fender like he was doing .
Do you need to drain the oil before you open the clutch cover? In particular, if the bike is leaning on a kickstand?
it appears the answer is "no", at least on my 05 fat boy
I did that exact thing and still can't get my clutch to disengage the transmission when pulled.
If I put the bike in gear I can't roll the bike.
So I started all over adjusted at the basket, then the cable adjustment.
