Not to mention the Pride of Arizona Marching band (UofA's Marching band) just won the Sudler trophy (collegiate band equivalent to the heisman trophy). Not only will Arizona football be hype but the atmosphere and relationship Between the football and the band will make for a great combo and absolutely legendary home games for Arizona. you can tell when a football team and a Marching band have a great relationship cause both absolutely hype each other up. When I went to see the USC vs UofA game I learned that the band originally wasn't going to be present however the UofA presendent decided last minute to send the band, this resulted in the Football players being extremely excited and 100% boosting the teams moral. with that it is my believe that had the UofA's band not been there the USC v UofA game wouldn't have been such a close game. Marching Bands as a strategic asset in college football games are unfortunately not always given the credit they deserve, they truly can turn the tide of a game.
One thing that no one talks about is that Jedd accidentally won 10 games. He only put Noah in the game because he was forced to when Jayden got hurt. Throughout the rest of the season Jedd would say post game that Noah played well because Jayden was on the sidelines coaching him up. Jedd only got the Washington because Noah saved the season. He was on course to maybe a 5 win season before that. I mean, they were about to lose to Stanford lol
Jedd did some great things here but he also arguably massively misjudged his available QB talent in two of his three years here. Deciding in his first year that Cruz and Plummer were better options than Jordan McCloud just because McCloud wasn't there for Spring ball was just awful. I know McCloud wasn't what he would become at JMU but he had two years of starting experience at UCF and Cruz and Plummer weren't in the same league.
Hey Scott love the videos man but wanted to let you know that k-state Arizona won’t be counted as a conference game as it was scheduled before Arizona joined the Big-12, this makes Arizonas road to winning the conference much more manageable
The alamo bowl against Oklahoma Sooners was a very close game and Arizona almost lost it if not for a momentum saving play by safety Gunner Maldonado. He had a returned fumble 87 yards for a touchdown and that saved Arizona Wildcats
Just so everyone remembers, de Laura lost Arizona that MSU game and if it wasn’t for his injury Arizona would have been a 5 win team. Jedd didn’t want to play Noah who is the vastly better qb
Really great video so far. But at 3:50: AZ didn't necessarily control the game. They looked like they were going to get blown out in the first half. But that is the thing about the team and specifically Fafita - cool, calm, and collected. He figures out defenses while avoiding costly mistakes. Then he takes over. Also the defense, learned throughout the first half then became a turnover machine. Quite the skills of a 'winning team'. We will have to see if they can play COMPLETE games this way with a different coach.
Eh, the first half started like Arizona was gonna run away with it. AZs biggest problem that game (other that OU getting to hold on every single play) was not having Jordan Morgan, who was the lynchpin of the O-Line; AZs O-Line struggle hard that whole game since everyone was trying to get used to a new position. But I agree with everything else you said.
Jed Fische never apologized for calling a running play in triple overtime. Just saying we needed to block it better. Sorry sir, but it's always a passing play for the win in triple overtime.
IDLman Norton, now at Texas, was the unsung hero of '23 Az's mid-season surge & meteoric rise. Excited to see if Norton (who began his cfb career at UGA) plays ok on road vs Mich. in '24.
I am worried Arizona will flop. In 2014 Arizona finished with a similar record, but with not as much momentum. The next year in 2015 the Cats started well but when they started playing tougher teams they lost. This team is built different so I have a bit more faith in them.
That 2015 season was mostly due to injuries all across the board from the starters everywhere. Against ASU we were down to our third string QB that year.
@SF, Have u previewed GaTech or Neb already? Another '24 squad w hi upside is VaTech. Enjoy ur content. Imo CU added signicant talent to their defensive front 7 and will have a 2024 win-total floor of 7.
Their floor is 7-5 and more likely than 11-1. But 9-3 seems to be the most probable outcome. No way anyone can accurately predict how this team will do with a new coach and so many transfers in and out at key positions.
Last year was AZ football at it finest- nothing is expected, they do GREAT. This year things are expected, but new coach... new conference, new opponents. I see a recipe for disappointment
When you play teams that are the caliber of Florida A&M every week, you should be decent but…..it is U of A. At least they’re set up really well to not make their first ever Rose Bowl!!! 🔱🔱🔱🔱
@@ctrhey I agree with the ceiling and even the prog. Just a lot of questions with new coaches and players. My Michigan boys have a floor of 6-6. I have our ceiling at Repeat.
What team should I preview next?
michigan
Ole miss please! They have so much hype
Rutgers and that one RB they have Monangai sp?
Future of the Pac 2 conference.
We need a Cal video we have a good team this yer that is getting slept on and we are in the ACC

Ive been telling people Arizona is gonna win the big 12 and make the playoffs in Noah fifita and t Mac they trust
In ncaa25 most def

as an alumni i'm very excited for the future of this program
8:04 TMac actually went to Servite HS in CA with Fifita, and flipped to Arizona once Fifita committed to Zona
Gotta thank Tucson donor Humberto Lopez for his NIL contribution. He single handedly kept Fafita, McMillan, Manu from leaving Arizona.
@@rezmetalpodcaster I think he also helped with Gunner and Tacario

as an oregon fan i’m so glad we didn’t play last year and are no longer in the same conference 😂
Jeremiah Masoli killed our dreams a time or two. 😆 This Wildcat will be loving it when you guys kick some Big10 butt. Huskies can suck it! 😁

that game @ Kstate is a nonconference game. a home and home series was already scheduled before they joined the big12

If they do it's because offensive and or defensive line play is not above average, as usual

All you need to know is Duane akina is back so Arizona is back 😺🐻⬇️
Great vid, DT bill Norton transfered to Texas Btw
3 videos today Scott? Dang dude
Fifita's frist start was against Washington, not USC
I think that getting back nearly all of the secondary in what is most likely a very pass heavy conference is the biggest win for Arizona.
Bill Norton is at Texas
Fifita came in during the Stanford game

Don’t sleep on WVU!
Still talking Bill Norton. These people do NOT know the Wildcats team at all.
agree 9-3 floor, 11-1 ceiling.
Bill Norton followed our DC to Texas but other than that great vid. I project Zona going 10-2 with a spot in the big 12 championship. BTFD 🐻⬇️
