Uldale & Cautley, EMTB

A quiet part in the west of the Yorkshire Dales, to the north east of Sedbergh and on the southern edge of the Howgills. Mainly low level, but not so easy in places where the outbound terrain included a long stretch of boggy bits and on the way back a long section of unavoidable overgrown bracken and gorse. Plenty of variety with fords, farmyards and great views of the Howgills and the Cautley Spout waterfall.

Another nice ride , A few years ago close by where you fell but up on the sort of main route before you dropped down to the stream ride section there used to be some horrendously deep puddles pools where the 4 x 4 's have destroyed the double track, A friend of mine nearly vanished in one of those deep sections on a Yamaha 250 he sort of jumped in and stopped dead
