I’d like to see steven universe trying to establish a community between gems and humans
Maybe the newly uncorrupted gems could settle on Earth. The Crystal Gems would likely welcome their old comrades and friends, and the Homeworld gems might not want to go home after everything that's happened.
Or maybe the humans, Famethyst, and imprisoned Rose Quartz gems could establish a sort of sub culture/society near the zoo. They probably know each other better, and have been together in the facility. And the Famethyst are kept there to care for the humans.
Knowing how humans are irl, I doubt that would end well.

@@ZgedekWladcaKredek agreed, i think many questions are being given too much relevance by the fandom, which wasn't the point and doesn't really need that much addressing because they're that simple. guess everyone wanted a bit more flashback episodes before closure, more pink diamond before rose quartz, more homeworld etc. it did feel a bit rushed, if they show it now that everything is solved, could be great but* won't feel the same cos we already know the ending

I feel... conflicted. A time skip makes perfect sense, but it would also be kind of interesting to see the semi-immediate effects of everything that just happened. Idk, I'll probably be happy with whatever Rebecca puts out; she could probably make anything work tbh
agreed, i think either option would have so much to offer for the show.
I wouldn't mind anytime skip, buy Steven Universe (the show) moves along fast enough (ignoring hiatuses) so that I can really don't see the point in a time skip and frankly I'd rather see an unexpected conflict manifest almost immidiately after the (other) diamonds leaving Earth and have Steven age slower (which would probably be better for his longevity as a character and the cash grabs for CN), this would also be fitting given the episode where Steven was concerned about how he stopped ageing which resolved with him ageing at a normal pace (indicated by him growing one facial hair), so a time skip almost slaps that episode in the face.

@@iIO_OIi agreed. and there are so many plot points they could expand on! skipping all that with a time skip just wouldnt sit right with me, even if it is the logical option. id really like to delve into how homeworld is going to adapt to this. it is shown that there are many gems who are very loyal to homeworld and its rules. are those gems going to smoothly integrate into the new system, loyal to the diamonds themselves? or are they going to try and revolt, loyal to the former infrastructure? not to mention the diamonds themselves. they may understand Steven and Pink D better, but they've clearly got a long way to go when it comes to their prejudices. and I think Lars would benefit from an episode dedicated to settling back in, instead of glossing over it. not to mention the off colors and the formerly corrupted gems, they are going to need an explanation. and jasper and lapis too!! any way you look at it, you can't just gloss over these things with a time skip, and I doubt Rebecca Sugar would anyway. this show has always fleshed out the time after conflict. and who knows, they might introduce new villains!

Honestly, I don't support a timeskip. There are too many little threads that need to be tied up, for example if Jasper is going to be around - the tension between her and Lapis _needs desperately_ to be touched upon. If we just skip ahead to where all of these miscellaneous issues are buried and done with offscreen, that would be a huge disappointment writing wise.

@@thetrump9974 "Doesn't even matter" Lapis' entire character arc was almost exclusively about the effects her trauma had on her, and Jasper _never_ resolved the issues that made her who she was either. I don't think that's even remotely an insignificant thing to want the show to touch upon.
And for the record, it's rather easy to work these things into organic and interesting episode plots that also have relevance to a larger story. That's...kind of what good writing is. Resolving plot threads doesn't require the show to divorce itself from any new storyline, that's kind of a preposterous suggestion.

Maybe they could do this with a timeskip. After all who's to say Jasper and Lapis don't kush avoid each other? It's a possibility, since Lapris was held prisoner by Jasper she may not want to even be near her. Maybe even going to the point to avoid Jasper for as long as possible till Steven who might have befriended Jasper. Forces then to work though their issues. Just a suggestion though.

Well a lot of them were crystal gems, so those ones almost certainly did. However, there's also some that were still loyal to the Diamond authority, like Nephrite/Centipedle, who are more likely to leave with the diamonds.

They could address why they need to grow their empire. There has to be an enemy that the diamonds fear for that reason. Or the origin of the diamonds, who was the first Gem? Are there other diamonds? Lions' origin story, the human zoo situation. If they unpoof the other Rose quartz will it create new conflicts since they can see it as a betrayal of Pink diamond and start a new Gem rebellion. I also noticed that the "Uncorrupted Gems" aren't really completely uncorrupted since they seem to have retained at least some physical traits of corruption still or possibly something mental, the crewniverse can run with that as a possible allegory for mental issues, PTSD etc. Also the Cluster can still be another storyline they can address, since Yellow diamonds room seems to have early experiments of other failed clusters. Are there other clusters on other planets that were also geoweapons that were successful or still hibernating? Also I would love a return of Emerald as a means to maybe activate Lar's latent teleportation abilities. And we all want to know what is in the box on Rose's room. If its not something that would be addressed in the movie then they can also use that as one mystery that needs to be answered. Anyway these are just some of the things they can hopefully tackle next season if its not a time skip.

ninjago has grown on me as time progresses. I did just dismiss it as a kid’s show, without a deeper plot I could get into like how I did with SU, but tbh the plot and character development ain’t half bad lol
Err...actually adventure time has been running longer than Ninjago. While ninja is still running, adventure time originally aired in 2007. Ninjago aired in 2011.

And I still need to know exactly what happened to Lars and what all is involved, like his new powers they mentioned in the vid. Yeah, we know he was reborn and all that, but WHY, or HOW? I need an episode with Renaldo and Sadie, and maybe even the cool kids, helping Lars discover his new self. It would be so cute! Then, Steven could figure out his side of it and many even learn how to open that chest! There's more to this, I just know it, and I want it!

I’ve noticed that towards the end of the episode of change your mind, once Steven and Pink Steven fuse, they don’t show Steven’s gem anymore. Could it be possible that it flipped back like Pink’s gem?

I don't think they'll do a time skip (or at least a long one) because that would mean missing out on several interesting episode ideas. Like a Jasper redemption arc, a Pink Pearl and Pearl episode, helping the ex-corrupted Gems adjust to their new scarred lifestyle and possibly any Homeworld Gems who wish to leave the Diamond Authority. Time skipping would just gloss over them unless done as flashback episodes and that's just dumb. I'm sure there's a time skip planned but probably not for a while or maybe even until the direct end of Steven Universe, similar to what they did with Regular Show.

I would like a timeskip, but I really want to see what jasper’s reaction will be finding out pink diamond was actually rose. And some episode with Steven talk about to the cured corrupted gems. Maybe they take the gems to the human zoo with the leg ship. Maybe emerald comes to earth to get her ship and fights Steven not knowing it pink.
Steven in high school definitely be interesting, with him and Connie dealing with the pressures of being a teenager. Also, that thing you said about the Diamonds coming down at the end of the first episode saying "We need your help!" could lead into a story about the origins of the Diamonds and the Gem race and what makes them so different from humans. Steven and the crystal gems can travel across the Universe on some galactic adventure to defeat some new threat, introducing new worlds to the lore of the show. Just a thought, I guess.
I can see homeworld trying to find a renewable way of producing gems (kinda like how peridot tried to fix the land of the kindergarten)

Like a mirror to the diamonds, a mirror to the gems. Maybe a few actual casualties like a main character getting shattered or injured or just disfigured and getting aquainted to the new change or trying to find a way to fix what's been broken

One thing that is still a mystery is how the diamonds where made and who made them. So the injectors made the other gems but can the diamonds be made the same way or something else
Maybe if they make a new steven universe series then maybe it won't always have to be from steven's point of view. That would give us more stories.
Maybe some episodes centering on the towns people trying adjust to a hundred new superpowered being being in the area but kinda like lil memory episodes so the time skip works

I know a lot of people are probably going to disagree with me but personally I don't like the idea of a time skip.
Probably much later down the line but at the moment it would feel way too rushed especially after the end of change your mind. There is still a TON of things that need to get sorted out in the immediate future.
personally I would feel a bit cheated. because we wouldn't get to watch the Jasper Redemption, getting to know all the new germs, the diamond coming to terms with what Steven is, peridot and lapis character and relationship development, how is homeworld going to fix the resource problem and even more.
Personally I would hate to just hear about all that just resolved itself in a side conversation😕 I would like to watch a play out. And I would like to see some towny episodes with people getting used to the new gems and everything.The old-fashioned light-hearted episodes😊
I think the only reason people are really calling for a time skip is because they want to see people in your outfits I think we got enough of that in change your mind. and people are just getting impatient with Steven and Connie's relationship. they're just Kids give it some time!😋

Pearl attempts to take Stevens gem out, but it’s actually major foreshadowing. Pearls skin tone is way too pale than her actual skin and almost a full on white tone, and it shows just her fingers trying to pull out the gem
In “ Change your Mind”
White diamonds skin tone, obviously white. She takes out his gem with just her fingers/fingernails.
Another point, in the episode “Three Gems and A Baby” Greg sees steven is crying because his gem “can’t breathe” (also another major theory that made people think that rose was in Stevens gem which is true and false at the same time) he buttons the shirt into a diamond, in “Change your Mind” the first thing me see is the diamond gem.

I honestly think the next part will be Steven trying to fix the corrupted gems maybe even trying to put the pieces back together like how the diamonds did with the forced fusions but more so better intentions as steven wanted to help everyone and he never thought he could never fix corruption so having him trying to fix shattered gems and the cluster would be interesting to see like what if they force the right pieces together what happens they said they were looking for their other parts what happens when they unite with those
