  • Plan on converting my F150 into a “camper” to go along with my recently completed 5x10 camper. First step was to install this Bedrug bed liner. Many more videos to come as this project progresses into a full blown truck camper! Stay tuned!

    Know this is an older video of yours but I appreciate you making it. Haven’t done a lot of this kind of thing so watching your detailed tutorial really helped me get a good install on my bed rug. Long time fan of your channel and I appreciate you man.

    Found your channel a few weeks ago, I like your simple ideas and most important,your not overly long winded, which causes me to skip ahead. Thanks.

    Got a 2020 Silverado 1500 and the Bedrug bedliner is easily one of the best upgrades I made to it. That and my ARE camper shell of course.

    Great video… but I did notice that you missed the bottom Velcro strips on the sides… there was actually three strips.

    The BedRug is awesome and holds up well even after a decade. Did you ever go back and cut holes for the cargo lights? I was curious how you were gonna deal with those. I like the liberty sticker - had to order myself one of those!

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good to know! I did not cut the holes because of how I’m building the rest of this out. I’ll have plenty of lighting…so stay tuned for the final reveal video. I’m just buttoning up some final details before I post the vid.

    Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I wanted to see how it looks in a F150. I’m debating between the Bedrug that you put in , or the Bedrug XT mat . Which is the same material but only the mat and tailgate . ( I’ll bet you knew that ) . Do you have any suggestions? I have a Bak flip folding cover on my truck . I’m feeling long just the mat is a perfect choice. But I don’t want to fall short . Perhaps regret not just getting full liner . Thanks again and look forward to hearing from you . Wish you well .

      For me, since I camp in the back of my truck I wanted the sides covered too. Honestly, more aesthetic reasons than anything else, but it does also protect the sides more so than if you just have the bed mat. My choice…and I already bought a new one for my new truck on order is the full coverage BedRug.

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn’t. I figured with all the lights I have in here I wouldn’t need the two little bed lights. Plus, my actual bed covers one of them up anyways.

    So I guess you don’t use your bed to move or pickup furniture once the shell is on. Strictly camping?

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can still haul stuff. Nothing that is over the cab height because of the shell, but everything else can be moved just fine.

    can the wrinkles be prevented on the sides or is there something on the actual bed that causes those?

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it’s just the moldings on the side of the bed itself

  • @tallcntryboy71
    @tallcntryboy71 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Out of curiosity, all the holes in the bed that come from the factory, did you seal those? Just thinking they'll let dust in wouldn't they?

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I did not seal anything up. Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea though

  • @wuddupboy96
    @wuddupboy96 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How does it hold up in the rain . Any mold ?

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors
      @BrianWatersOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No mold. This isn’t carpet, but actually plastic fibers, so it doesn’t hold onto moisture.

    How is the bed length? I am 6ft and was thinking of getting a truck with a 6'5 bed size

    • @BrianWatersOutdoors

      It’s doable. I can sleep diagonally, but I do have a 6.5 on order now.

      Can’t remember exactly, it’s been a few years. Just search for “ stubby antenna” on Amazon and you’ll see hundreds of these things.
