Breaking Benjamin we're a major part of my young adult life and there music was always relatable at the time. Some of their greatest hits is Sooner or Later, Diary of Jane and Blow me away. They have been rocking for years and I always put them next to bands like Crossfade and Staind. They are still current and sound great as ever 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Ahem! Young Lady, do you really know the band well enough to be addressing them in the familiar and familial short-form "Ben" rather than their full and proper name "Benjamin" (I'm just assuming that they're all called Benjamin otherwise the band name really doesn't make any sense at all, does it?) 😉🙃
Breaking Benjamin is amazing, sadly no one really reacts to their first album "Saturate". "Wish I May" or "Phase" are probably my fav off the album but the major hits were "Polyamorous" or "Shallow Bay".
Tool army here. Grew up with tool as a kid, born 83. Hated breaking Benjamin’s, but have come to love them as I grow older…. Probably because it still comes from an era that was just amazing….. can’t wait for the next big era of music, desperately need it
I grew up about an hour away from where breaking benjamin is from in Pennsylvania. I remember I was 4 years old when this song came out, and because they were a "local band" they were played on all the rock stations constantly. They've been in my top 3 favorite bands ever since then.
I caught their first two records way back and then but I lost track of them for quite awhile. After catching up on all I missed, I have to say that this band is pretty solid.
Breaking Benjamin is my most listened to band, something about their music and bens voice just soothes my soul so if I’m angry, stressed or just need to chill, I listen to them. Now tool started almost 20 years before them so they were more like influenced by tool. This is what I would call just straight up hard rock. I love almost every song they have but my 2 favs are “home” (off 1st album saturate) and “failure” ( off of dark before dawn) also they have song called “far away” that he duets with the singer from cold named scooter ward off his acoustic album aurura. So many great ones though! If I made a list, I’d list just about every song they have.
@@wendydotson8891 I know the feeling haha! I wasn't going through a breakup, just having a shit day, but the first time I heard the song was such a release. Now whenever it comes on, no matter the kind of day I'm having, I belt out all the words (alone in my car, of course 😄) and it's so cathartic!
Good band ot dig into. "Diary of Jane," "Follow," "Rain," "I Will Not Bow," "Sooner or Later," "Break My Fall," "Angels Fall," plenty of good songs to choose from.
Man I downloaded “Medicate” on I think Limewire or what of those now defunct early 2k p2p sites. It was an unreleased unpolished version likely recorded by the band at a self funded studio before it was produced for radio. I have it on a burned cd somewhere in my basement to this day and now I want to find it. It was a great unheard edit. That was the joy and ability of those peer 2 peer music sharing sites back in the day. I discovered so much good music that way. But that song even in its radio edit is basically what launched this band. That and “Polyamorous” were their first 2 hits back in 02. That whole album was great and they just got better and better. Great band to dive into.
Breaking Benjamin is still one of my all time favorite bands ever. Breaking Benjamin did a series of videos you might want to check out. 1. Never Again 2. Red Cold River 3. Torn In Two then 4. Tourniquet. A couple other favorites are Crawl and Away. ❤️🔥🤘🏼
I'm so glad you guys are reacting to this band! They have so many awesome tracks. Here are some suggestions, I'll try to keep it short: Breath. Crawl. Skin. Hopeless. Next To Nothing. Dear Agony. Away. Into The Nothing. Unknown Soldier. Believe. Break My Fall. Evil Angel. Breaking The Silence. Never Again. Psycho. Sooner Or Later. Sugarcoat. No Games. Y'all rock keep it up!!
Lex was spot on with the Tool comparison. The singer says nirvana is his biggest influence but i've always heard much more of a tool influence in their music. especially with the dropped tunings and ominous sounding guitars. and the lead singer is indeed a Benjamin. lmfao
Great band! I've seen them twice, and got to do a signing at the first show. Ben and I shoot the shit for a minute or two while he and the band signed my stuff. He's an awesome dude!
Ben Burnley started out playing acoustic covers solo in small venues , like coffee houses , around Wilkes-Barre, PA .. Among the bands he covered were Tool, Nirvana, Bush etc from that era
Absolutely like Tool. I saw these guys playing in bars before they got big. They used to play Tool, Korn, and Deftones covers mixed in with the stuff they wrote.
Breaking Benjamin use to be a cover band and covered Tool quite a lot and still do even. If this reminds you of Tool, you should listen to the song Phase, or the song Home. It's based on Wizard of Oz.
Breaking Benjamin started as a TOOL cover band. Former drummer Chad Szeliga said he lifted the beat from Sober for their song Breath. Not a diss either, Chad is one my all time favourite drummers. His signature fills and cymbal stabs are so timeless.
Saw Breaking Benjamin play the whole first album in a small venue in CLT called Tremont. Chatted with Ben a bit before the crowd got there. He was cool af! They rocked tf out on that first album Saturate '02 tour!
Their first album, Saturate, is the one to listen to...one of the greatest albums of all time..like legitimately. Natural Life, Water, No games, Next to Nothing, Phase etc. The album is a journey with many moods
Breaking Benjamin and Motionless In White are like national treasures here in the Poconos in north east Pennsylvania. Ben is from Wilkes-Barre and Chris is from the city that shares the same valley Scranton. Ben has a lot of influence on Motionless In White. Had enough, Unknown soldier, You, Firefly, Anthem of the angels, Ashes of Eden, into the nothing. You throw a stone on a song title and it's gonna be damn good music.
Seen these guys in 07 at Planet fest in Jacksonville FL. Not even a big fan of them but they sound exactly the same live as they do on CD and it was an amazing show at night. 🤘

You forgot to say Seether. That’s the big 3 from my youth Staind, BB, Seether. Then of course 3 days Grace, 3 doors down, etc..
Post-grunge, introspective, feel. Great description for Breaking Benjamin. Awesome band.
Finally! They literally do not make bad songs, check out literally anything by this awesome band.
I’ve listened to every song they’ve ever made and I love them all. My all time favorite band
Fr breaking benjamin never dissapoimts, never had the chance to actually go to a rock concert 😕
Very very true🔥🔥🤘🤘
I've seen em 5 times and never been less than ecstatic
"Dance with the Devil" is a good Breaking Benjamin song to check out. "Diary of Jane" is also good.
The entire Phobia album is excellent.
Good songs for sure. Breathe and Blow Me Away are great too.
Those songs are overrated but Breaking Benjamin's entire discography is great
+ breath and 'angel falls'.
Unknown soldier is still one of my favorite songs ever
Breaking Ben is my all time favorite band. Please do more! Dear Agony, Breath, You and Ashes of Eden are my absolute faves.
Ahem! Yes please more BB cause ive been on a binge listening to all their music and it truly is some of the best stuff ever to listen to.
It really is!!!!
Breaking Benjamin are killer, so many really good songs. Diary of Jane and Breathe are 2 must listen tracks!!!
Breaking Benjamin forever underrated
Breaking Benjamin is amazing, sadly no one really reacts to their first album "Saturate". "Wish I May" or "Phase" are probably my fav off the album but the major hits were "Polyamorous" or "Shallow Bay".
That whole album is killer. So underrated.
Shallow Bay is one of my favorites from them!
One of my favorites by them is off saturate, it’s called “home”
Love their first album, literally every song is amazing.
Polyamorous is one of my fav song of theirs💗

More breaking benjamin please. Epic band
Used to work with the dad of one of the guys in Breaking Benjamin, he was really into his son's band. Went to all the local shows.
Love this song! Glad to see you guys reacting to it. This band is pure 🔥🔥
"Dear Agony"... you must check out this song by Breaking Benjamin.
Polyamorous and breathe is my two favorite songs from them
I grew up about an hour away from where breaking benjamin is from in Pennsylvania. I remember I was 4 years old when this song came out, and because they were a "local band" they were played on all the rock stations constantly. They've been in my top 3 favorite bands ever since then.

Breaking Benjamin actually started out as a Tool cover band, so you were pretty on point Lex :)
"post grunge-mental health feel" LOL exactly
Diary of Jane and I will not bow! You have to check those two songs out!
This song was written about the movie 28 Days Later…it’s a great movie and an even better song!
Definitely check out more Breaking Benjamin

Lex, you have the soul of a rocker.
It's fun to watch
Literally can't go wrong with this album!
We Are Not Alone is a fantastic album! This isn't even a top 5 song on the album.
All of their albums are great so many great damn songs

Yo this is a rabbit hole that you must go down!!!
Tool was a big inspiration on nu metal of the late 90s early 00s.
I used to have this song play for my alarm clock. It starts off slow and by the time it gets to rocking you're ready to get up and get going
My favorite Breaking Benjamin song is Blow Me Away.. Still solid.. Give it a shot..
Man, u guys are so in touch with ur viewers ! “ this sounds like tool” is what I said to myself 10 seconds before u did😂. Keep up the good work😜

90 degrees where I am and getting the chills from this song still.
More Breaking Benjamin!! They've got some harder stuff I'm sure Lex will love!
2:37. TOOL was in the eighties, technically!
One aspect you nailed was the post Grunge. Many bands flowed in the wake of Grunge with some Gems like this band coming g out. Awesome vid as always
Oh my gosh…BB is absolutely Golden. You need to take a deep dive in their music…please. 🙏
Check out their performance of Would(AiC cover), with Gavin Rossdale of Bush.
