Post-grunge, introspective, feel. Great description for Breaking Benjamin. Awesome band.
Breaking Benjamin we're a major part of my young adult life and there music was always relatable at the time. Some of their greatest hits is Sooner or Later, Diary of Jane and Blow me away. They have been rocking for years and I always put them next to bands like Crossfade and Staind. They are still current and sound great as ever 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
You forgot to say Seether. That’s the big 3 from my youth Staind, BB, Seether. Then of course 3 days Grace, 3 doors down, etc..
Finally! They literally do not make bad songs, check out literally anything by this awesome band.
I’ve listened to every song they’ve ever made and I love them all. My all time favorite band
Fr breaking benjamin never dissapoimts, never had the chance to actually go to a rock concert 😕
Very very true🔥🔥🤘🤘
I've seen em 5 times and never been less than ecstatic
"Dance with the Devil" is a good Breaking Benjamin song to check out. "Diary of Jane" is also good.
The entire Phobia album is excellent.
Good songs for sure. Breathe and Blow Me Away are great too.
Those songs are overrated but Breaking Benjamin's entire discography is great
+ breath and 'angel falls'.
Unknown soldier is still one of my favorite songs ever
Breaking Ben is my all time favorite band. Please do more! Dear Agony, Breath, You and Ashes of Eden are my absolute faves.
Ahem! Young Lady, do you really know the band well enough to be addressing them in the familiar and familial short-form "Ben" rather than their full and proper name "Benjamin" (I'm just assuming that they're all called Benjamin otherwise the band name really doesn't make any sense at all, does it?) 😉🙃
@@SilentBob731 dude get a hold of yourself

@@dcasper9884 Is satire really that lost an art? Is parody truly dead?
Yes please more BB cause ive been on a binge listening to all their music and it truly is some of the best stuff ever to listen to.
It really is!!!!
*Please MORE Breaking Benjamin 💜*
You and me both 💜
tool definitely influenced them, they have covered them in live shows
And they do it well. Seen them twice and they did it both times.
All of breaking Benjamin songs are awesome
Breaking Benjamin are killer, so many really good songs. Diary of Jane and Breathe are 2 must listen tracks!!!
My favorite song by breaking Benjamin, I WILL NOT BOW
breaking benjamin dear agony ft lacey sturn , this song alone is a masterpiece and what lies beneath
Breaking Benjamin forever underrated
More breaking benjamin please. Epic band
Love this song! Glad to see you guys reacting to it. This band is pure 🔥🔥
Breaking Benjamin is amazing, sadly no one really reacts to their first album "Saturate". "Wish I May" or "Phase" are probably my fav off the album but the major hits were "Polyamorous" or "Shallow Bay".
That whole album is killer. So underrated.
Shallow Bay is one of my favorites from them!
One of my favorites by them is off saturate, it’s called “home”
Love their first album, literally every song is amazing.
Polyamorous is one of my fav song of theirs💗
Tool army here. Grew up with tool as a kid, born 83. Hated breaking Benjamin’s, but have come to love them as I grow older…. Probably because it still comes from an era that was just amazing….. can’t wait for the next big era of music, desperately need it
Used to work with the dad of one of the guys in Breaking Benjamin, he was really into his son's band. Went to all the local shows.
love the band and this song. first reaction ive seen of it. I WILL NOT BOW is another banger great song....
"Dear Agony"... you must check out this song by Breaking Benjamin.
i havent watched this yet, but im about to, so glad yall are reacting to this one
So many great songs by BB....They are so good live......took my youngest to see them for his first concert....
I grew up about an hour away from where breaking benjamin is from in Pennsylvania. I remember I was 4 years old when this song came out, and because they were a "local band" they were played on all the rock stations constantly. They've been in my top 3 favorite bands ever since then.
This band is awesome.
Seen em live twice.
Lex, you have the soul of a rocker.
It's fun to watch
Breaking Benjamin actually started out as a Tool cover band, so you were pretty on point Lex :)
Polyamorous and breathe is my two favorite songs from them
"post grunge-mental health feel" LOL exactly
This takes me back to school days
I"m in Polokwane, Limpopo Province - South Africa. its spring but damn cold.
This song was written about the movie 28 Days Later…it’s a great movie and an even better song!
Great song this was in heavy rotation back in 2004 or '05 I remember reading about this song it was inspired by the movie 28 Days Later
Great movie!! Great song!!
@@volbeatrules6528 VolBeat Rules true I wonder if they'll ever make 28 years later
Definitely check out more Breaking Benjamin
I caught their first two records way back and then but I lost track of them for
quite awhile. After catching up on all I missed, I have to say that this band is
pretty solid.
I love this band... so nostalgic :)
Literally can't go wrong with this album!
We Are Not Alone is a fantastic album! This isn't even a top 5 song on the album.
All of their albums are great so many great damn songs
My favorite Breaking Benjamin song is Blow Me Away.. Still solid.. Give it a shot..
Breaking Benjamin is my most listened to band, something about their music and bens voice just soothes my soul so if I’m angry, stressed or just need to chill, I listen to them. Now tool started almost 20 years before them so they were more like influenced by tool. This is what I would call just straight up hard rock. I love almost every song they have but my 2 favs are “home” (off 1st album saturate) and “failure” ( off of dark before dawn) also they have song called “far away” that he duets with the singer from cold named scooter ward off his acoustic album aurura. So many great ones though! If I made a list, I’d list just about every song they have.
'Failure' is amazing, and you're right their whole discography is great
@@osu2118 yeah, failure came out about a week after I went through a really bad break up and it kinda saved my sanity 😂
Cold is a great band... Wish they would get more props and reactions!
@@wendydotson8891 I know the feeling haha! I wasn't going through a breakup, just having a shit day, but the first time I heard the song was such a release. Now whenever it comes on, no matter the kind of day I'm having, I belt out all the words (alone in my car, of course 😄) and it's so cathartic!
Yesssssssiiiirrrrrr my band !!!!!
HELL YEAH! More Breaking Benjamin please! Polyamorous, Breathe, I will not bow, Angels Fall
Man, u guys are so in touch with ur viewers ! “ this sounds like tool” is what I said to myself 10 seconds before u did😂. Keep up the good work😜
Truth
Nowhere near Tool
Lol broken Ben and tool are not even in the same conversation.
@@Tony-iu7sw true, but still similar😜
This is not only my fav BB song, but is probably my fav song ever, its just so good, i love BB!
90 degrees where I am and getting the chills from this song still.

Breaking Benjamin from Wilkes-Barre PA
I absolutely love this tune.
Good band ot dig into. "Diary of Jane," "Follow," "Rain," "I Will Not Bow," "Sooner or Later," "Break My Fall," "Angels Fall," plenty of good songs to choose from.
More Breaking Benjamin reactions please , Amazing band. Great reaction .. Ty
I'm so glad you guys are reacting to this band! They have so many awesome tracks. Here are some suggestions, I'll try to keep it short: Breath. Crawl. Skin. Hopeless. Next To Nothing. Dear Agony. Away. Into The Nothing. Unknown Soldier. Believe. Break My Fall. Evil Angel. Breaking The Silence. Never Again. Psycho. Sooner Or Later. Sugarcoat. No Games.
Y'all rock keep it up!!
Also skin, water, diary of Jane, ordinary man, until the end, had enough, failure, polyamorous, but yes they are a great band
Please do more of this! Such a great band!
Yo this is a rabbit hole that you must go down!!!
These guys are still awesome. When I heard this song it was super heavy hitting. Still is I'd say
Diary of Jane and I will not bow! You have to check those two songs out!
Breaking Benjamin is still one of my all time favorite bands ever. Breaking Benjamin did a series of videos you might want to check out. 1. Never Again 2. Red Cold River 3. Torn In Two then 4. Tourniquet. A couple other favorites are Crawl and Away. ❤️🔥🤘🏼
Amazing band been on my playlist for years !
Man I downloaded “Medicate” on I think Limewire or what of those now defunct early 2k p2p sites. It was an unreleased unpolished version likely recorded by the band at a self funded studio before it was produced for radio. I have it on a burned cd somewhere in my basement to this day and now I want to find it. It was a great unheard edit. That was the joy and ability of those peer 2 peer music sharing sites back in the day. I discovered so much good music that way. But that song even in its radio edit is basically what launched this band. That and “Polyamorous” were their first 2 hits back in 02. That whole album was great and they just got better and better. Great band to dive into.
One aspect you nailed was the post Grunge. Many bands flowed in the wake of Grunge with some Gems like this band coming g out. Awesome vid as always
One of the best live bands ive seen! Especially as they have to sail to their UK tours, makes it even more amazing!
First song i ever heard by BB and it’s still amazing!
*Dance with the devil* next please!!
Ben Burnley started out playing acoustic covers solo in small venues , like coffee houses , around Wilkes-Barre, PA .. Among the bands he covered were Tool, Nirvana, Bush etc from that era
Tool was a big inspiration on nu metal of the late 90s early 00s.
Great band! I've seen them twice, and got to do a signing at the first show. Ben and I shoot the shit for a minute or two while he and the band signed my stuff. He's an awesome dude!
Many other great song by BB. Seen them live in 2019. Such an amazing experience. Failure, Angel's Fall, Breath plus many others you should react too.
I also saw them in 2019 with Chevelle and Three Days Grace. One of my favorite concerts ever and I’ve seen Metallica live.
Finally! Breaking Benjamin is my favorite band.
Lex was spot on with the Tool comparison. The singer says nirvana is his biggest influence but i've always heard much more of a tool influence in their music. especially with the dropped tunings and ominous sounding guitars. and the lead singer is indeed a Benjamin. lmfao
Oh my gosh…BB is absolutely Golden. You need to take a deep dive in their music…please. 🙏
One of my favorite bands in high school. Love this one.
Check out their performance of Would(AiC cover), with Gavin Rossdale of Bush.
Every album doesn’t have a bad song it’s amazingly perfect every time.
More Breaking Benjamin!! They've got some harder stuff I'm sure Lex will love!
This was definitely a great era of rock music
I used to have this song play for my alarm clock. It starts off slow and by the time it gets to rocking you're ready to get up and get going
And this was like 5 albums ago, they literally got better woth each new album. Favorite band ever, went to every one of their shows i could
Lex got the groove of this song right away.
Absolutely like Tool. I saw these guys playing in bars before they got big. They used to play Tool, Korn, and Deftones covers mixed in with the stuff they wrote.
Watched these guys open for godsmack. Amazing show.
Red Cold River by Breaking Benjamin is awesome, and the video is really good too
FINALLY!!!
Please do "Dear Agony"! One of my many favorites by this band
Always loved this song. Also check out Sooner or Later
Seen these guys in 07 at Planet fest in Jacksonville FL. Not even a big fan of them but they sound exactly the same live as they do on CD and it was an amazing show at night. 🤘
Finally y'all do Breaking Ben! Work's been kickin my ass so it took me a while to see it. Glad to see y'all react to them.
2:37. TOOL was in the eighties, technically!
Their first album, Saturate, is the one to listen to...one of the greatest albums of all time..like legitimately. Natural Life, Water, No games, Next to Nothing, Phase etc. The album is a journey with many moods
Breaking Benjamin use to be a cover band and covered Tool quite a lot and still do even. If this reminds you of Tool, you should listen to the song Phase, or the song Home. It's based on Wizard of Oz.
"Genre Fluid" I love that. 😆
Love this band! I’ve seen them 2x live and his voice is amazing. 💙
Saw Breaking Benjamin play the whole first album in a small venue in CLT called Tremont. Chatted with Ben a bit before the crowd got there. He was cool af! They rocked tf out on that first album Saturate '02 tour!
Breaking Benjamin started as a TOOL cover band. Former drummer Chad Szeliga said he lifted the beat from Sober for their song Breath. Not a diss either, Chad is one my all time favourite drummers. His signature fills and cymbal stabs are so timeless.
Away, Natural Life, Phase, Hollow, Crawl, Had Enough
This was one of my jams on my way to Highschool way back when it was new. Fresh temps and no clue what life was lol
You guys should react to…
Breaking Benjamin - The Diary of Jane
🎸🤘
Pleeese🙏
Breaking Benjamin and Motionless In White are like national treasures here in the Poconos in north east Pennsylvania. Ben is from Wilkes-Barre and Chris is from the city that shares the same valley Scranton. Ben has a lot of influence on Motionless In White. Had enough, Unknown soldier, You, Firefly, Anthem of the angels, Ashes of Eden, into the nothing. You throw a stone on a song title and it's gonna be damn good music.
pretty kick ass song I think they're great
I used to date this really pretty black girl, I had long bleach blonde hair, dressed all in black, chain belt, cowboy boots, fedora, the works. When she brought me in to introduce me to her family, she told them I was the drummer of Breaking Benjamin.
LMFAO, I don't even play the drums....
Beautiful girl though.
@Dutch Plan Der Linde I was actually a private investigator, I just looked like a rock star. :D
It was definitely a most interesting experience.
@Dutch Plan Der Linde you got that right brother. lol
She wants it to make you think that this song is something about tool when no one really knows or ever knew what this song is about, :D
So so underrated.. they are wicked!!!
Breath and Until the End are my two favorite songs. Until the end is pretty heavy
Breath is the best song by Breaking Benjamin by far
I'm addicted to lexs energy, you guys should check out, a killing joke ,song millennium, allso sepultura, song roots bloody roots,
I love that Genre Fluid shirt. I'm sure Lex has worn it before, but this is the first time I've noticed it. It's perfect.
"Post grunge introspective".
Brilliant.
