I am a fan of K2's panoramic splitboard system with their tip and tail skin connections. I am not a fan of this boot/binding system. There was a reason K2 Clicker boot/binding systems failed because the boots are quite uncomfortable and the loss of control compared to a classic binding system. I applaud their approach of advancement but comfortability is paramount during skinning. To put the same amount of pressure a classic binding takes on the those very small contact point spells disaster.

All the equipment is sick except for the bindings. The old clicker bindings sucked. They won't click in if there is snow or ice built up in the bindings, and that is extremely likely to happen in the backcountry. Also, who's the jerry riding in this video? He can barely ride a snowboard.

That problem is still there with regular pucks and all randonee skiers have this problem. Just bring a little hot tea or such to pour over.
