The single most frustrating thing about Lloyd and his village is that they don't register anything less than a demon lord as a legit threat. But that's also why it's funny as hell.
@@laangrisse Well, it's a "threat" to Lloyd since he can't just beat the "monsters", he has to fight with all he has to beat them unlike the rest of the village who can just toss rocks at them lmao.
The difference between Lloyd and regular people is about as big as the one between Lloyd and his fellow villagers. Remember he's the weakest one in his village, getting his arm broken by a little girl 2-finger slapping it as a game punishment or something. Although Lloyd is freakishly strong in his own right he also suffers from having absolutely no confidence in his abilities, believing himself to be weak. The mind is a powerful thing, especially when you lack common sense. He's unable to use his full potential because he honestly believes he doesn't have it. So he's just constantly doing things accidentally without giving himself any credit. When it comes down to actually get serious he's already usually beaten and broken so he believes himself that it was a close fight while if he actually went at things seriously from the beginning he would (I WOULD HOPE) see how capable he is. Although with his mentality he would probably just think the thing was weak to begin with. Like how monsters are just animals and bugs to him. It is extremely frustrating to the reader and watcher but also makes you root for the time he will actually realize where he stands in the world. I don't think it would effect how he still wants to get stronger or much about the story in general, but that day we get to see our boy Lloyd have some confidence, even if he gets his ass kicked would be a great culmination of the story, even if it's just his side character improvement. However until things are proven otherwise, it's just a story about poor common senseless Lloyd 'accidenting' his way through life. I hope we eventually get a more wise and confident Lloyd, if even through some fast forwarding magic to give us a taste if it's gonna take forever. However like I said this anime is more about his shenanigans than his feats so only time will tell. Also apologies for being that one idiot posting on a year's old comment. I just felt like chipping in if anyone else happens to come across it.
Well, they're all basically endgame RPG heroes and their kids, so anything else is basically a chore. Have you ever gone back to a game you've beaten before and wandered back into the first area where the enemies go down with one move? The attitude towards them when they attack is very similar to how Lloyd acts around this town.
Except Meliodas has a very good understanding of how strong he is in comparison to the average person. Lloyd thinks he is weak AF because he grew up in the region of the last dungeon and everyone there has to be OP in order to survive.
People are so rude. Here is a young man just out to have a little chat with a few of his friends, but these scamps keep interrupting. What is the world coming to?
He's weak, the only reason why he look strong is because everyone in the beginner town is weak Is like, he's a guy of level 100, but where he lives a normal guy has level 150, then he moves and go to a level 20 town
I…don’t think that was a headbutt. I think that was just Lloyd getting back up after dodging that claw swipe, and Merthophan’s head happened to be in the wayz.
Someone needs to understand what is an isekai. This anime isn't an isekai at all, " isekai " isn't equal to " medieval fantastic ". An isekai implies that at least the MC was transported in a different world than is own and it's absolutely not the case here.
@@mock2589 But if that was the case, Saitama would be pretty weak, in fact ;). One Punch Man is fundamentally a huge joke, its universe is voluntarily absurd and doesn't really care about consistency. If Saitama is strong in it, it's only because this is the main principle. If your bald guy would be carried in Lloyd's universe, he would be submitted to the laws of this universe. So, Saitama was doing many push ups ( let's considerer that it's effective, even if it doesnt in reality ), Lloyd grew up in an environment where a boy faster than a train, able to send flying locusts the size of elephant without breaking a sweat is no match against a rabbit. In this universe, Saitama would be no more than the MC of Re:Zero without his retrying capacity. The bald guy would be very largely weaker than Loyd, weaker than any of the main characters and many of the others ;). In fact, outside his own universe, Saitama isn't a big deal at all.
Nobody:
Lloyd every single time he sees in insect: YEET!
lol
In the scene where he first meets sellen and tosses a bug he even says yeet
The single most frustrating thing about Lloyd and his village is that they don't register anything less than a demon lord as a legit threat. But that's also why it's funny as hell.
Lmao demon lords arent even a threat literally anyone in the village can straight murk them if they wanted to
@@laangrisse Well, it's a "threat" to Lloyd since he can't just beat the "monsters", he has to fight with all he has to beat them unlike the rest of the village who can just toss rocks at them lmao.
Did you see he flick a freaking giant grasshopper ? And casually call it a bug. While others trying their hardest to stay alive...

Idk why, but this gave me serious Meliodas vibes.
Yellow hair short ignorant and jokey I'd say this is alot like meliodas

That’s what she said before she left me.
Me too🤣
And a
Little of one punch vibe to

The audacity of these uncouth vagabonds, just let Lloyd have a civil conversation!
True😌
IKR?! How dare they interrupt his conversation!
(Sips tea, adjusts monocle) Yes, quite.
Literal Yeet Master, Destroyer of Worlds...
but he's dense as fuck.
GLORIOUS.
Like number 69
And even then he's still the "weakest" in his village of Yeet Grandmasters, Destroyer of Galaxies
"Destroyer of worlds"
B*tch he ain't no Decade
I love that even the locusts are just as confused as everyone else, or at least look like it
When everyone in the anime is trying so hard to be Main Characters, Villains, Rivals, etc while Lloyd is just acting like everything is normal.
I wonder where those bugs land, after he yeets them like they're team rocket
A farm outside the city:
"They said: buy a farm outside town. It's an opportunity... They never told me about the Bugs!"
00:48 that Slap! is everything
Lloyd: "Monsters, where?!" *casually yeets every giant bug he comes across* "Get out of here pests, I'm looking for the big scary monsters!"
0:02 It's the legendary ninjitsu that has been passed down through generations and it's name is yeet.
It seems familiar with a boy who always break his bones
All he's missing is a yellow suit, a white cape, red gloves and boots, and a bald head. Then he will truly be the strongest.
He's weak, the only reason why he look strong is because everyone in the beginner town is weak
Is like, he's a guy of level 100, but where he lives a normal guy has level 150, then he moves and go to a level 20 town
So he's essentially Saitama with an inferiority complex?
Except that Saitama is the strongest in the world. Lloyd is actually the _weakest_ of his village.
@@whiterabbit75 agreed
Deku without breaking bones everytime
@@whiterabbit75 that is an absolutely traumatizing thought.
This guy is so dense he he think monsters are animals
Compared to the standard of his village, those are just normal animals to him
@@TheChapelx i wonder what is meaning "monster" in his village
@@abelhelion1502 A demon lord is considered a "monster" to them

He got that Tanjiro skull
My boy took a page out of the Tanjiro playbook, I like it XD
Love that slap LOL
That meteor spell probably caused more collateral damage than the bugs.
So are going to ignore that Lloyd is able to Crack a Human Skull just by putting some force in a Headbutt?-
That's not human lol, that's well over superhuman cuz of the Locust Demon power up.
@@DragonEdge10
Huh,that makes sense
I'm pretty sure if he full force headbutted a regular human their whole head would atomize. lol
Lloyd's forehead puts Tanjiro's to shame

Boss:gonna end you reeee
Lloyd:*pimp slap*your drunk
It’s like being Saitama, but being totally oblivious.

Yes😂

Man I glad I'm nyaot the only one who thought that
Just think he's still considered weak in his village 😂

I like when he headbut to a bouncing human
