Asta can give damage to lucifer because he uses anti-magic (basically destroys his magic defence bs) and Yami has dark magic (Dark magic is basically the only magic that can harm high ranking demons), so saying that she is weaker than Yami because of magic compatibility really is invalid argument. Lets not forget that she helped Yami learn that jumping technique which legit means that she knows more techniques than Yami, and lets add to the fact that in the manga she created another technique that makes her stronger by each passing second basically she reached a level that Yami did not reach to the point her technique forcefully turned off.
