Lyrics: Wish I could believe that you care for me that way. Mirror mirror speak to me. In the night... Don't you think I know this grief can't be cried away? In the tears I cry, I see you. Rainy day... Why can't I love you so? Sleep won't come to me... With the eyes closed the mind has a perfect view.. It's.. just.. we two are. Lost in your arms I float away. Don't you know? Once daylight comes I'm searching for you. "I've met someone else," you say as you looked away. So..now at last I know where you've been. Who's this new love 'ed tell me do they love you then? Such a fool that I have been. Foolish me.... Why can't I love you so? Sleep won't come to me. If I could touch you there's so much I wanna say.. Like.. I love you... Sometimes a silence speaks the most. Just listen. Could be that Key's a heartbeat away. [Bridge] Lost in your arms I float away... Don't you know? Don't you know? Will these new day I'm longing for you... I wanna guide your heart back to me. With these two hands. I wanna know it's me that you love... Oh.. at last you needn't be afraid. Dont' be 'fraid. Could be the key's a heartbeat away. Right Now! Right Now!!
Childhood memories from KQED’s Sunday Sci-fi programming. They also played Urusei Yatsura, and a few others……and the old Doctor Who. Which never made any sense to the 12yr old me. So #nostalgic
One of the times where English cover version blows the OG out of the water. I like the OG singers voice quality, but I LOVE the powerful voice of the English singer. Feels more dramatic, that chorus is killer.
The first time I learned about this amine was this Video Plus in my hometown that had it for rent. I only ever got to watch the first two episodes, but damn of this opening hasn't stuck with me the entire time. Thank you. ❤
AHHH... dude the audio is so perfect!! The low quality audio was literally my only problem with the original version and now it sounds absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for this
One of my all-time favorite animes from my childhood, thanks for sharing!!! I just started re-watching the anime with my boyfriend since he's never seen it, and the music is always so nostalgic!
I just finished watching this anime. I think it was all right there's some parts I wish didn't happen and some parts of which was a little less elaborated but if nothing else I'm glad I got introduced to the intro music it was what got me hooked on the show in the first place.
One of my time favorite anime’s I am so nostalgic for key the metal idol It was my first anime and I love it to bits I love the music so much so thx for this
People gained a lot of " friends" in Facebook and Twitter? Bullshit, how about be like Key and try to gain 30,000 friends in order to be human, top that!
The english version is just good as the original japanese version. Both capture the dark cyber punk noir atmosphere....you guys remeber 90's cyber punk anime movies? Can we bring back bubblegum crisis and cyber city odedo
Out of curiosity does anybody know what saxophone is being played in the song I believe it was an alto but I think it might be an soprano just curious.
@@阿.杰 Previous poster is incorrect. The actual performer of this song is Tania Hancheroff (credited as Tanya Hancheroff), as seen in the opening credits of the English dub. Saffron Henderson (voice of Beniko and Miho) only performed "Night Flower."
the thing about singable english translations - *especially* in the late 90’s, where this dates back to - is that they’re a bitch to write. At the time, these songs were the high water mark for quality. I’d say that they hold up really well, too. Let’s take a look at the Japanese for the full verse, plus a rough translation 好きな人"いる"と言ってた So you say there “is” a person you love そんなウワサを listening As I heard these rumors, listening 打ち消してでももしかして In absolute denial, but perhaps 私かもなんて Nothing All I am is “nothing” Compare to the full English verse: "I've met someone else" you say as you looked away So..now at last I know where you've been Who's this new love 'ed tell me do they love you then Such a fool that I have been Foolish me.... I think the translator and lyricist had a tough time working the original to fit the meter, so the new lines were spawned. It’s probably one of the only weak points in the English version, along with “could be the Key’s a heartbeat away”.

Argh this is amazing! There are too many hidden gem anime from the 90s that nobody ever talks about!
Ever see the last two episodes of this thing? Terrible. Great stuff otherwise
@@tomjung4960 tbf the one where they just explain everything for ages really kills the pace
The budget was gone. Ironic, in a show about singers media fans and exploitation. Maybe it's perfect @tomjung4960
OMG Thank you for making a higher quality version of this song. Really underrated OP Theme.
Very underrated anime and the whole OST as well honestly. You're very much welcome !
Yosssss
Key was a both Master piece and Master Class of TRUE story telling with multiple anime genres mixed in and gave birth to this hidden Diamond.
Still as beautiful and melancholy as the first day i heard it... its truly a priceless gem of yesterday
英語版のフルバージョンがあったなんて知らなかった
日本語OPも好きだけどこっちもすごくいいね。作品の雰囲気が出てる

I love the music so much so thx for this
Strongly underrated anime.
This is the Best Anime that I ever watched and I like the Theme Music as well! ;)
Wow this was like my favorite song when i was 13, i sang ot for my audition for the school musical lol they told me to join choir

Nostalgic style :) Sounds like something Madonna would do in the 80s.
This is like Madonna would do in the 90s as well lol
They don't make music like this anymore and I'm damn furious about it.
What songs has she made that sounds like this, I need more music like this
Sade vibes ❤

Where did you get the full english version of this song?
Off the OVA
You should post a download (in a format like flac if possible). If I remember correctly, TH-cam naturally compresses audio when uploaded
Try TH-cam to MP3 download
I prefer this over the original Japanese
Is it possible to get the English OST? I've got the Japanese OST and audio dramas but I can't find an English OST
Its so mirrotic song
this blue gender and others have the best intro and outro songs!
Modern anime theme songs just arent as good as they once were... gahd im old.
I'm old too :(

好きな人"いる"と言ってた
So you say there “is” a person you love

All I am is “nothing”
Compare to the full English verse:

So..now at last I know where you've been
Who's this new love 'ed tell me do they love you then
Such a fool that I have been Foolish me....
