Very well said. The time travel story was also amazing. Unfortunately, teaching is not the same anymore. Colleges focus on filling up their roster with Ph.D holders, giving virtually ZERO importance to teaching. And it’s not like these are research experts, they are average people who somehow put together a PhD for the sake of existence.
Very little focus is given to students as well. For institutions, everything is about creating MOU’s and conducting useless seminars and workshops for enhancing their ranking. Teachers are now given truck loads of documentation work and deadlines to submit research papers, and they do it only out of fear of survival.
If we do not separate Teaching from Research, we’ll see more youngsters leaving the country.
