Just paid $999 for the 1000 watt Mars 2 (using a $100 discount code). I'm gonna add a 48v 14.4ah battery in parallel that I already have from a 2 yr old Rad bike I don't ride anymore. I feel like I got a pretty good deal!
I'm definitely interested! I ordered a new 1000w Mars 2.0 on 5/23. The only complaint I have been reading about is the size of the battery. With the savings, I'm going to invest in a parallel battery setup.
🛑Help 🛑 just bought the Bike took off the Battery to charge but when I put the battery back on no power. I have this exact Bike someone commented to look for a Fuse but we can’t find where it is if any. This bike is 3 weeks old we can’t believe we are having issues already. By the way the battery shows fully charged. Any feed back greatly appreciated our return date is quickly aproaching .
The brakes on these are SUPER finnicky and require constant adjusting. Mine worked from the store I bought them from fine...for a while. Then I noticed the pads were unevenly wearing because the calipers werent properly aligned. I rode them set to wear on the opposite side and kept an eye on them for when they became relatively flat in regards to the bracket that holds them. I then adjusted everything as perfectly as I could and they stop on a dime! Not nearly as good as hydraulic, but still the best mechanicals i've felt. You just have to have them adjusted right and you're good to go. Still recommend to upgrading them to hydraulics or hybrid mechanical/hydro brakes though.
Also, I wish there was a place where you guys put ALL of your data together so we could see the best Breaks, hill climb, range in 1 place. Am I missing it on the website?
first time buying e bike is this good choice? my max is around 1.5k since first time rider and not looking for the best of the best. looking for casual riding, a few bike trails
Idk if you'll see this today but I hope you do. (Aug 10 24)The heybike mars 2 is on sale at best buy for $899+tax. Just got mine yesterday and am loving it so far.
I'm probably gonna spam you so you see it lol but like I said I got it yesterday and I think it's the new version of the 2.0 because it's a color screen instead of the black and white shown here and I was able to get up to 32 mph on throttle only. Which exceeded my expectations. The box said 28 mph. I think a helmet upgrade is due.
@@ricardosimoni2855 lol I ended up getting one as well in blue ! Mine also came with the new color display but my. Max speed is 28 on throttle only but I did get the 750w version . I love it ! So far I have 135 miles and had it for a mint so already
@@DrinkableTrees idk if it was you or someone else that liked my comment right now but it's still on sale for $999 right now which is still a pretty good deal.

I mentioned this in another video for the engwe m20. I have both bikes now. Neither the engwe m20 or the heybike mars 2.0 have a rear cassette. It’s a 7 speed freewheel. I bought the engwe based on your review saying it was a cassette so that I could swap the gearing for a mid drive conversion and I cannot do that with the 7 speed freewheel.
Yes they failed to upgrade the battery. Customers need to keep bring that to their attention to get them to offer a bigger more suitable battery. It will drain way too quickly with a 1000w motor
My question is can it handle a crash? My dual motor escooter slid out from under me while doing 30mph in the grass and was done for. If this thing slips out from under me will it still be ridable or will the electronics be wrecked? 🧐
That's outside of our ability to comment on, as there are too many factors coming into play (speed, point of impact, etc.). Depending on the severity of the crash, however, any bike would likely have problems.
@@ElectricBikeReport My main concern is if it is as durable as an analog bike. I've wrecked peddle bikes and hopped right back on to continue. I can't justify the expense if a small crash will brick the electronics. I'm in Florida so lots of random storms and poor cycling infrastructure. Accidents are a matter of when. The escooter crash wasn't any worse than crashes I've had on manpowered bikes. I hopped right back to my feet no worse for wear even the scooter was in one piece. I'm pretty upset that a minor wreck in the grass bricked a 1500$ scooter when my 150$ Royce Union would have been perfectly fine.
The Mars is a good eBike as I bought one in 2022. Took the chain ring, chain off & have baskets & saddlebags for it making it a great cargo bike. Put on BMX type bars & a new crank arm hanging straight down with a saddle with real springs & custom MTB pedals. I use it for shopping or just out running errands around town.
Who in their right mind would ride past 2 pedestrians at 20 mph? Unbelievable! I guess now we know why E-bikes are getting such a bad reputation, thanks man. I do applaud utube for allowing people to show how our society has just gone off the rails!
Now they’re coming out with a 1000w 100nm version in May!
trying to decide to get the 1000w m2 which now has hydrolic breaks and racks or another lectric 3.0 with 2 batteries and racks..

Lectric has better customer service
I feel like with the 500 dollar discount the mars will be better

Is the Heybike app working, heard their were issues? Is the bike easy to unlock speed? Thanks

We've discussed adding that to the website, but haven't yet implemented it. Hopefully in the future we can make that happen.

For the love of God isn't there at least one video that shows all the features of the thousand watt
The upgrade was a relatively recent switch, sorry!
How is the bike I guess I want to buy one and there's a springtime
watch the video dumass
How many newton meters of torque is there on this bike?
Our version with the 750W motor had 80 Nm, but it looks like the newer 1000W motor has 100 Nm.
I like to have the throttle on par with the P. assist, can this do it on...
im not happy with the range output i see here..

Hey! Is it possible to put someone in the back? If I got a custom seat cushion or something? Since it says it’s got a 400 lb Payload capacity.
The total payload capacity is 330 lbs including the rider.
@@ElectricBikeReportwhat would you recommend for 400lb payload that’s around the same price range

Nope, it has a throttle!

seems like you got some serious brake drag going on with that bike

Can you shutup? The world’s not sunshine’s and rainbows.
Mechanical brakes = fail IMO
I simply wont buy an ebike without hydraulic breaks.
Hydraulic brakes are cheap and easy to add. I’d be more concerned about those tiny batteries
Customer service sucks and they don't honor the warranty on battery
Because some of the reviews on this I won't be buying sounds like a hit and miss of getting screwed
