The Story of TSM Reginald: Esports Trailblazer

- In 2009, a small indie games developer out of Santa Monica, California launched their inaugural game. It was called League of Legends: Clash of Fates, and among the first 100 people to ever play the game was a teenager by the name of Andy “Reginald” Dinh.
At first he didn’t like it, but in time came to love it and founded one of North America’s most iconic esports organizations in the process.
This is his story.

This was one of the greatest mini-documentaries I have ever seen. It was well written and edited. This gives an amazing overview of the pioneer of western league of legends professional teams.

Wow.. all the memories coming back to me. I’ve been through all of this history following it completely! It’s so great to rewatch it all again in a documentary style.
Fantastic video. Thanks so much for taking the time to piece it all together. Very interesting story and makes me respect regi even more than I already did. I didnt have total understanding around how much he influenced the NA lcs franchising but now I do! Thanks again:)

Idk I think they're pretty consistent, not flashy but they're adaptable. The big mistake was signing Mikeyeung, and now they don't have a solid jungler, just imagine if they had dardoch,
Tbh I don't think they are bad at all looking at their games, obviously it took time for them to adapt but they look pretty strong. My main concern is TSM's lack of aggression, specifically, a jungler that can get them to snowball early. When they were at their strongest Sven was spamming Lee Sin in all of their games and camping mid/top while bot lane just had to survive. Now, they have Grig who hasn't done much of anything in the early game lol I just hope things get better as the split goes on.

I just realised TSM is NA's na championship team, C9 is na's world's team and CLG is na's MSI team
By this I mean that these teams have achieved the most in these competitions

TSM always manage to disappoint at World Events, very consistent
I honestly think TSM has the potential to be a bigger team at worlds, but Thry made a fatal mistake by trading DoubleLift and BioFrost fpr what was assumed to be a upgrade.
I remember watching TSM back in 2013 and I hated Reginald because of his cocky and egotistical attitude. Looking in hindsight, Reginald provided a lot to League of Legends and eSports and I admire his vision and expansion of TSM. It's amazing to see the development of this team, business and industry of eSports.
Whether or not people like his personality, he really embodies the purest sense of esports entrepreneur. The man helped contribute tremendously to the size and influence of NA LCS.
Personally I'm not a big fan of TSM, but regardless of your opinion of TSM as a team, it's undeniable that Reginald is one of the best things to happen to League E-sports ever.

a website is not that expensive if its just basic stuff like a forum and some guides about league. also founding a team back then was easier because the pro players probably wanted to play in a professional team. i cant imagine that chaox, oddone etc. got paid in their first season. what i wonder however is how he bought the first gaming house
As I understood it his family was already well-off, so he was able to get some financial support from them to get things off the ground. The fact that TSM's grown as much as it has however, shows that he deserves his success, and it's not just a product of rich parents.

In my opinion, Reginald is the face of modern esport.
regi is one of the worst leader that a team could have get. Like for real, his mentality is completly fucked and there are several Players that left tsm in the history because of him, just check clips like regi and dyrus discussion or the flame from regi against xpecial who just defended turtle. its like, wtf, this guy is a big guy of the western e sport scene ? u kiddin me right....

Its true he made mistakes,but he is human. The people who hate reggie are pasionless wrecks of people who can never put their all into something and dont understand feeling driven people. As much as he sometimes did deserve to be chewed out and called out,the majority of what he has done came from a place of passion,drive,heart. People are so quick to judge by what they see,but get mad when you tell them they don't see whats underneath because they are laser focused on the wrong things. Have some god damn respect for this man,his role in rising up league is invaluable

This was a good video, but a little audio balancing goes a long way. One minute you have the soft spoken nasally voice of the narrator, and the next minute Phreak and Riv are screaming in my ear.
