In Harrier- Safari people want 4×4 auto, In Compass people want 4×2 auto🤔

I think jeep should have included ADAS and Auto park which international variants get. Also, they should bring back petrol or Hybrid. As an owner of Compass, I can vouch for this car. I have done 30K kms in 2 years mostly long stretches and not even a slight problem. Drive and handling is excellent and comparable to beemers!

Agreed...i did test drive the jeep wonderful car with great build quality, interior finishing with soft plastics, and drive quality..built to last for long time and amazing road grip/stability. Your family will feel safe to travel in this car which crash test results have also proved.Better then expected drive. No wonder people all over world are fans of jeep. Good with new 4*2 version for those who dont want 4*4. Good size and easy to navigate in city traffic , parking and highway stability. Perhaps jeep should launch Compass with new petrol engine also soon..true SUV and much better than some of so called softroaders suv or other cars marketed by some companies as SUV to attract buyers..jeep is true SUV the legend!

American suvs always unique road presence..jeep is looking good..We missed american cars like Ford and GM...they are unique in tough build and road presence with better driving experience...unlike todays flimsy and flashy cars

I have bought this beast recently & drove more than 500km on highway & it’s super there are very minor lags & I think that is what I like more as it’s confident but not over confident & can show it’s tail light to many whenever it feels like great driving dynamics gives great confidence on road solid built quality. Only thing is the body paint finish is not checked properly from the factory so I suggest one should get a professional PDI before taking delivery. However its drive quality will never upset you.

Nice move by jeep-India bringing in the 4*2 auto transmission. Should have brought in the petrol engine too giving customers more options.

I am not sure how people are comparing Compass with others. With a ZF 9HP TC gearbox, Koni FSD suspension, Zinc coted GI steel body, etc. I think just because LandRover Evoque has a 2L engine and produce same output, wondering how they would compare value for money for 80 Lakhs. Few can mimic, but only a true engineering RND will solve purpose. Next they would start comparing Rubicon with Thar I think. 😂

I think india needs a petrol ⛽️ engine not diesel, due to emission norms and future value proposition , it's a deal breaker.

The auto transmission is still way expensive even after removing the 4x4 option. Only the manual sport variant is priced under 25 lacs that too with literally no features.. Compass is better than harrier but harrier is a bigger & no complaints as in comfort & drive , mid variant harrier auto transmission that costs 25 lacs is a way better option than compass manual base variant that costs the same.

As usual Jeep is giving us Indians an outdated engine and transmission. The American version now has a 200 bhp engine mated to a 8 speed transmission which is much more powerful than the 170 bhp 9 speed one we get.

Still this is pricey compare to the other options available in the country. Our brands like Tata and Mahindra are providing fully loaded vehicles for 25 lakhs and Jeep don’t have anything special to match when the average use of a new car is for 7-10 years.

People need to understand in 20.49 lac price tag
There is 40% tax included which is not there in international market
Out of this 20.49 lac company is getting 12_13 lacs only

  • @meandthepolice
    @meandthepolice 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I feel jeep just because it’s jeep has become too over priced and that’s why sales has slumped. People want bang for the buck thus are ok with a mahindra or tata at 30% lesser price and better space and features…

Jeep is going down a bad path now. They are trying to sell the wrong thing - the compass is targeted at people eyeing top end mid size SUVs and offers the American ride and handling- something no other brand has in the market now.
Jeep could try a few things like
    1. Stop hiking prices of the top models (people always want them but will definitely buy a Tucson or Tiguan at current prices)
    2. Give people service packages and extended warranty’s- 6-7 yrs EW and say a 60-80k 4 yr service package with alignment
    3. Let people experience the jeep ride - some events might help
At the end of the day, when people buy an American car, they expect Fords level of service and not Tata niggles + German prices

I'd rather buy a TATA or a Mahindra & save money on the import tax by buying made in India. I personally don't think this car is worth 25 Lakhs
