Not really specially for diesel. Top of the line creta is comparable more with limited model of the compass. You pay a premium of 7-8L but you get a significantly more powerful engine (115hp compared to 170), significantly advanced suspension with fds, luxury cabin and best safety under 40L compared to worst safety above 15L 🤣 Its more about affordability and less about value. Compass is much much better if you can afford it. Baleno and A class are similar in size. Doesn't mean they are comparable 🤣
I worked for a dealer. I wouldn't buy one. We had brand new vehicles delivered that needed major engine work and they are well known for poor reliability. But, I hope your vehicle experience was better.
There is no comparison... Compass' built quality and handling are far better than creta!! Compass is more powerful, has more torque, has lots of safety feature starting from its base variant only!

Practically speaking yeah jeep is good when compared to creta but one thing we forgot is in the range of jeep compass starts some very good 7 -8 seaters
I love the Jeep but if I had the money, I would buy the Tata Safari. It is both value for money and also a emotionally pleasing choice. The Creta is also good value but it’s looks aren’t palatable.
The only point of comparison is the Diesel engine- 170 BHP diesel vs 115 BHP diesel and available 4x4. I think on the petrol side, the Creta DCT 1.4 is a match for the Compass 1.4 DCT. Both cars otherwise seat only 4 adults in comfort and have more or less the same boot space. At 7:06- I honestly couldnt spot any difference in the way the two cars handled. ESP would have kicked in both these cars to sort things out.
All these comparison of these motor journals are crass and just for the sake of making content and should not be taken into consideration for influencing one's buying decision.

Jeep means something. Compass is just not it. You can take a Jeep and go into the wilderness and hope to get back ok. Can't imagine doing that with the Compass. The compass will bring you back from the mall though. It never had the trail rated badging to begin with, then later it was morphed to look like the Grand Cherokee. hey... what would I know. But the Creta never had to live up to anything, it will also bring you back from the mall. So why spend the extra on a fake Jeep, get a real Hyundai. Or else, get a Wrangler Rubicon. Its developed a lot of creature comforts but its still a "Jeep". Finding legal off-roading opportunities in India is a different matter though. Well maybe in time. But the Harrier is not all that far behind the compass. Especially when it comes to the engineering. Be it the chassis significance or the ride and handling balance or in terms of safety standards. i have been driving creta top end dcti from past 15 months and recently had a drive in compass. the two cars are worlds apart. its like comparing 2star hotel room with a 4 star. the room size might be the same but the feel and comfort is completely different. both cars are worth for their price

I think there is no comparison between these two, jeep is more premium brand here. it’s like apple vs oneplus. IMO Personally if I had to make a choice I’ll rather reject both and go for harrier and still save 10L when compare it to jeep top model.

That 2-3 lakhs come out if its strength and brand value. Can Creata or KIA even closer to Jeep Compass in terms of passenger safety. Open the door and shut it once to feal the difference.
For the general public and the everyday user, the Creta is a much easier choice to make in terms of price and reliability. All people care about these days is the features a car has to offer and the Creta is on par with the Compass here. At the end of the day, how many Compass 4x4 owners even take their car off-roading? 🤣

I think the rest 3-3.5 lakhs go to the extra 55ps power torque the better suspension setup the powered tail gate doesnt count as much because i think the air purifier on the creta will balance it out. As you said creta has simpler inforainment system in accord with compass but making it simple means cost cutting. Right?

i have been driving creta top end dcti from past 15 months and recently had a drive in compass. the two cars are worlds apart. its like comparing 2star hotel room with a 4 star. the room size might be the same but the feel and comfort is completely different. both cars are worth for their price

Of course I like engineering and driving too. But not everyone gets behind the wheel. In fact, in a family, mostly one guy is the driver, rest all like the features and comforts, they care nothing about the driving dynamics as long as they are not tossed around in their seat.

That's true.. when I give my car for service they change the seating position after that it's very difficult for me to find my desired driving position even though it's power operated seat.. power operated seats without memory function is equalent to manual seats..

55ps power torque the better suspension setup the powered tail gate doesnt count as much because i think the air purifier on the creta will balance it out. As you said creta has simpler inforainment system in accord with compass but making it simple means cost cutting. Right?
