How exciting!! Nothing like a new chapter in life! Will be following closely as you are doing exactly what I wanted to do, but at my age it’s now not something I’ll be able to commit to. I’ve moved on and change direction but it’s definitely something I regret not doing earlier in life.

You have helped me to go get help and I think I need to go back to a therapist. It's just hard. I will love watching your property transform. I'm not going anywhere. 🙏

I am so very sorry about your son…..I wish no parent ever had to go thru anything like what you did. I’ve been seeing a therapist for quite a while and actually love it….I feel like you can share any feelings and it’s ok. I sincerely hope and pray you can find some kind of peace and know that your son is precious…..please take care of yourself and know that even though we are strangers I’ll always wish for the best for you and a time where you can breathe and it not hurt. All the best to you.
Ahem... can l just say its 19C and sunny in Melbourne today? 😅 but l think we all know that wont last. Well, there's certainly been some trials and tribulations in the last 6 years, and that's an understatement, but you not only smashed through with flying colours, you have taken us along to that triumph with you and given us tips on how to do it. After some personal tragedy at the end of last year, l decided my RN days are over. I think l'm yr mum's age and Bunnings is in my foreseeable future too and l've already started volunteering at the local Animal Shelter. Oh, and writing a book! Thank you so much for the inspiration, your kindness, your caring and for bringing us Occy the Wonderdog. 😊 Cant wait to see you arriving and settling in.

Max Max Max!!!!! I FEEL you! I lost my best friend, partner, love of 23 years one year ago! We had broken up two years prior to his unexpected death but remained great friends! I, like you, wish I could have helped him see the beauty in life but it’s hard to show people who are blinded by so many other things. I couldn’t see his struggles….I have to live with that. This video on your beautiful Lee is so touching and shows how much you loved her. I did the same for my Anthony at our local bar where he worked for 20 years. I love your fighting spirit and your amazing love of life and your sweet sweet Occy! Thank you for sharing everything with us. I’m so happy I found your channel. I am old and no longer have time to fulfill a passion such as yours but it has always been my dream to live just as you will. My one dream left would be to visit you one day at your new paradise. If I live long enough, I know I can do it, if you would allow me to. I’m sure everyone wants the same thing but for me, it would so fulfilling in so many ways. Oh Max. I’ve been watching you for years when you were Max & Lee and at one stage became a Patreon, when you became Max and Occy. Even joined a midnight coffee morning (it was morning in Aus, but midnight in the U.K.) with you and other patrons, but financial issues hit home and I had to make cuts and it hurt me to stop my patronage. However that still hasn’t stopped me supporting you all the time. I’ve been with you through the ups and downs this past 6 years and as a mum to 2 x 33 year old sons, I get you and know how difficult your journey has been, especially as a man. I’ve seen your whole disposition change from happy confident in love man to a broken man, to a now transformed man, who has decided not to let the curveballs dictate who you are and have taken steps to transform your way of life for this next massive chapter in your life. Who knows you may find another true love and have the family that you so desire to enjoy together in your new ecological, totally sustainable property at your new beautiful homestead. Stay safe Max and good luck ❤️ I truly wish you well and it was lovely seeing your mum, your dad and Judy. You’ve an awesome family and I’m sure your brother, sister-in-law and your gorgeous nephew will visit as much as they can in their camper van. ❤
My advice is to visualize your day from the moment you are in bed and it will definitely be as you imagine. You will never script a day with trouble. So practice this and you will remember me fondly!

Your new property is maybe the most beautiful place I've ever seen. So excited to watch your videos from there🙂. Also, i just want to thank you for consistently talking about and normalizing conversations related to mental health. In the last nine months i broke my leg, got covid twice and shingles, my brother was killed, one friend overdosed, a client of mine overdosed, another friend took his life and my mentor/surrogate mom died suddenly. Moreover, I'm a licensed therapist who specializes in complex PTSD. My clients have survived unimaginable abuses. You can imagine how important paying attention my own mental health is, especially during this extremely heartbreaking time. So thank you for reminding all of us to care for ourselves and one another. And thank you so much for making such beautiful videos

Whoa What a tough journey you have been on yourself... I have just been cleared of Stage 4 metastasised O Cancer about 3 weeks ago (was diagnosed in 2020), so I am so grateful for the little things... Stay strong... Mental health is sooo important x ❤️
@@evaadams8298 I am so so happy to hear that you have been cleared. My mentor had, 6 months prior, been told she was cancer free, then suddenly she was in the hospital. It had metastasized to her bone marrow and days later she was gone. I imagine the last three years for you have been terrifying and I so love hearing stories of people who survived. I am very happy you are still here 🙂 and I really appreciate the support. Before my brother was killed, I dealt with everything on my own and never asked for help when I was suffering, and now, with all this loss, I do not really have a choice. It has given me the bravery to ask for support when I need it. I am very thankful for the help, even from strangers on youtube. I appreciate more than I can express. Also, I love to hear about your gratitude. My gratitude is the one of the few things that keeps me motivated.
I was a florist working at a garden center for 15 years as I was going to nursing school. I graduated and worked as a nurse for 20 years now I’m retired since after the pandemic and considering going back to being a floral designer and working again. Got some health stuff to work thru first but leaning towards this like your mom! Smart lady!

I used your original 60-day Headspace trial and found the app really helped me with getting to sleep and returning to sleep when I wake in the night. I've since purchased a year and am continuing to explore its offerings. Thanks so much for offering the 60-day trial. That gave me time to really see its positive effects.

Max, I am always trying to educate others on mental health issues and try to raise awareness. In another post I told you about my struggles about having been to that precipice of not wanting to be in this world anymore. Thankfully with treatment I am doing really well. You Occy and so many others giving up on Van Life when I, at almost 68yrs still want to take off and have done for a number of years but simply can't afford the van part. I don't want to live in it 24/7 but spend a lot of time in it. I am in Tasmania. My car died when Covid hit. (I think it got it too) I can't afford to fix or replace it with another vehicle either so for the last almost 3yrs, I became housebound and depressed, but pray for a miracle everyday so I can get out and enjoy my hobby of photography again and just living life.
Anyway, I am glad you enjoyed your chance at Vanlife and that your heart healed and I wish you all the happiness and joy as you embark on your new venture. All the best from TAS 🌏❤ Oh, your van is amazing...... It has everything I would want. Perfect.

Wow you and Occy (and Lee at the time) were one of the first vanlifers I followed, along with Trent and Allie then Theo and Bea……now you all have properties! Thanks for all the memories (especially of cutie pie Occy) and inspiration, after a 5 yr long dream I now have my own van to take my 4 huskies out on short adventures 😍

Anything with an engine can & will disrupt our lives at the most inconvenient time. Cars are notoriously for stretching of annoyance level beyond its limits. I’m so glad you got your mechanical issues sorted finally & were back on the road towards home. We are all looking forward to seeing your beautiful slice of paradise & future adventures to come.
