    Worth noting re: the Clones sparing Barriss and not Ahsoka - Jesse dismissed Rex's argument about Ahsoka no longer being a Jedi by pointing out that their orders came directly from Palpatine himself. In the same way that Anakin was exempt from the Order, I think Sidious was invested in making sure Anakin's padawan didn't survive it.

    • @captaincoolbreeze9429
      @captaincoolbreeze9429 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      This does beg the question of how the inhibitor chips are programmed. Does Palpatine have a hidden console or data pad that he can simple input the names of every target he wishes to eliminate with Order 66 while sparing Anakin and any other Jedi he deems useful? If he does and can do this, I'm sure Bariss was a target of Order 66 until her confession which revealed that she was disillusioned with the Jedi.

They both grew up together, friends as Padawans, then lost faith in the Jedi order in the same arc but went about it 2 completely different ways. Now you see little tiny references in these episodes like them both not technically being Jedi during order 66 and Ahsoka’s training in a circle in a safe Jedi dojo from TOTJ ep 5 versus Barriss’s training in a circle near a pit of death in this episode.

Darth Vader wasn't supposed to be in a suit, so Ahsoka would have recognized him if she were to join the Inquisitorius. Looking at all of the rest of the unfinished The Clone Wars arcs and given that Dave said he had plans for Barriss, i get the feeling that Barriss was meant to return in one of them. The one i'm leaning most towards is the Return to the Jedi Temple arc, where Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka discover an ancient Sith Shrine in the deeper parts of Coruscant, right underneath the Jedi Temple.

In reality she was much further gone in clone wars when she framed Ahsoka, but they dialled it back, and unlike with Duku, didn't show how she got to where she was willing to betray Ahsoka at all. @WaveSquadron,
    10:00 Aaron, at this point in the story what's the difference between Ahsoka and Barriss? Barriss was labeled a war criminal. At her hearing, she rebuked the war and blamed the Jedi Council for leading the Jedi astray. Ahsoka, at the moment this story picks up, was fighting for her life. The troops who once served her were gunning for her because she was doing Jedi business! Jedi officially or not didn't matter. Ahsoka was on a Republic ship commanding Clone Troopers, conferring with the Jedi Council, and brandishing a lightsaber. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well, it's a duck! Barriss was in solitary confinement accepting her punishment. From what we've seen, she wasn't doing anything Jedi related, not even meditation. That said, the episode starts off by telling us that she's still very much connected to her brothers and sisters as we see that their screams woke her from her sleep.
    Lyn and the other Inquisitors erred. They assumed Barriss was one of them since she accepted the punishments for her crimes. They, like Palpatine, could not sense her true feelings on the matter. It would appear that she's good at hiding her true feelings or that the Dark Side of the Force is really bad a sensing things like attachment and love.
    BTW, that wasn't a kyber crystal the Grand Inquisitor flicked towards Barriss and the others. That was crystal embedded in that former Jedi's chin! Did you see the blood on it? Was it ripped out or cut out? I guess it doesn't matter, as either way would have been equally painful. Yikes!

    Was cool to see the beginnings of the Inquisitors but I feel like the roster is kinda slim here. We see the Grand Inquisitor, Fourth Sister (who we now know used to be known as Lyn), Marrok and that Inquisitor Ahsoka later defeats who doesn't seem to have a name yet. But where are all the others? Where are Second and Ninth Sister from the Jedi games? Where are Fifth Brother, Seventh Sister and Eighth Brother from Rebels? Or Third Sister (Reva) or maybe any of the comic/book exclusive Inquisitors. I hear some people say they might not have been recruited yet but then how come the Grand Inquisitor says, "we only have room for one in our ranks" and they make this important gathering where all the Inquisitors meet Vader. I feel like you'd want the full squad there if you were making a declaration like that. But hey whatever, I'm not the one creating this episode.

      I've had a thought that maybe the titles given to inquisitors are reusable. This seems to still be fairly early on. So these might be all the current inquisitors. We never got the titles of Marrok and the unnamed inquisitor that found Ahsoka, so it's possible that they are called Second Brother and Third Brother. Lyn being Fourth Sister, and Barris now perhaps becoming Fifth Sister. And then those numbered titles get replaced by the other inquisitors we know once these ones are no longer active. I haven't read comics so there might be information I'm missing, but that's my theory anyways.
      As for the Grand Inquisitor saying "we only have room for one" I don't think he means that literally like they don't have the room. I think he means more that only one of them can be good enough to take a spot. And their duel is to prove which of them that is.

    Knowing how this arc continued, i've changed my mind in the end, but i still think it would have been great if Vader had just killed Barriss on sight for what she did to Ahsoka. Because we all know that despite everything, Vader very much still held on to parts of Anakin in his innermost self, even though he didn't want to. And Anakin's grudges are still there, first and foremost.

    So if she wasn’t considered a Jedi, why wasn’t Ashoka then was turned on by the clones, if she wasn’t Jedi. She could have used the clones would have been cool. If she had her own clone army

    I love the inquisitors, every time I see them I just start thinking of every metal song I've heard,
    Especially the Clansy Brown Inquisitor I love his design he's my favorite, what a waste of character.

      Why is it a waste, they are tools afraid of their own shadows, there isn't a lot of development needed with that outside of some we have focussed on .

    Saying "Lucifer's mom" instead of "EDE from Mass Effect" is just nuts to me.

    Half of this episode was front/back shots of characters walking and doors opening/closing. A little disappointed with how much time was spent on that when the episode is already so short
