Being the “golden child” doesn’t mean you’re not abused-in fact, it’s the exact opposite. “Golden child” is a term created to describe a role within an abusive household, so a golden child is always abused, just in a different way than each of the other roles. From this story, it’s clear that Jacob is treated as if he can do no wrong, including not “wronging” the MIL and SIL by disagreeing with them. They use lies, manipulation, and other strategies to make him feel like he has to agree with him, and when he puts his foot down, they always blame his wife or some other outside influence. Not only is that manipulative on multiple levels, but as described in this story, he still ends up getting yelled at and hurt by them, it’s just that they “blame” his wife instead. To me, at least, it seems like Jacob as a character was written very convincingly as a golden child.
Why would OP even consider allowing her sister in law and 6 kids to move into her home when the sister in law dislike her and they don’t get along. Her No should have ended the conversation with her MIL after 5 minutes
My question to you is after the first incident of her walking into the room when you all were sleeping you talked to him I guess he talked to her but it didn't change so you told him to put a lock on the door he did but she started banging and yelling that would have been the end of me coming over to his house if you had your own home then yeah I would invite him there or we'd have to save up because I would not be going there I would not be bothered with his mother ignoring me and treat me like dirt I definitely would have gotten his sister's grill questioning me and calling me names and talking to me like I'm a piece of dirt you should have put the stop Johnson's on that at the beginning you don't let nasty Miss linger especially when it's being thrown at you!! You might have been shocked but had it been me when she opened her mouth talking about give up my house to a sister-in-law and six kids and a lazy husband I would have told her you have a house give her yours and hang up your phone!!! I told them I would have asked her who the hell gives you the right to tell them to move in with me that you told them to do it you don't pay nothing here lady sometimes you really have to get well she's a woman just like you just because she's your husband's mother don't mean you have to bow down she's not showing you any respect and never have so I don't see why you are bending backwards to show her any I tell her to go to hell and take her daughter her six grandchildren and her lazy son-in-law with her because they're not moving into my house!!! And it's wonderful that you and your husband are in agreement with his silly family no contact is the best thing and if they do come back to your property I don't blame you for having them arrested and filing a restraining order to keep them away good job Jacob stand by your wife!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Good story though initially i listened to find out what happened to the dog. Because if someone do harm my dog, i go full John wick, no questions.
