      @@Harris-DIY Could you tell me how I can get the dimensions for this brilliant product as I have tried numerous times to download the sketchup file without success.

    I recreated it from the sketchup film.

    Did you have some self drive for the first hole you drilled? Couldn’t see you operate it...

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Power Point For the first hole in the video I only use the fostner drill but usually I use to drill a 3 mm pilot hole when drilling with fostner drill

    Hi, Tried on numerous occassions to down load the Sketchup file of this excellent project without any luck, does anyone have an idea of how I can recreate this brilliant system without using a sketch up file? Tried to calculate the dimensions but difficult from just watching the video.

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The file is made in SketchUp 2015 there free version, when you click on the link the file opens in the program if you have it on your computer. I just tested the link on my two computers and it worked fine, be aware that when you click on the link a question will appear at the bottom of the screen. Let me know if it worked.

      @@Harris-DIY Hi, tried to reply with Gmail but it would not send. Had no luck with the sketchup even after re loading software. May be able to construct from multiple viewing of video which is excellent. Most of the dimensions will be obvious or localised to my setup. Many Thanks. Alan UK

    Do you have a sketch file for both the guide at 4:20 minutes of the video and the foldable track stop. Or if you have dimensions it would help making them. It would also be nice to show what makes this guide useful, how to use it. I know I am asking a lot of you.

      André Snelting Unfortunately there are no drawings and I am not completely happy with the system, it takes up too much space on the workspace, so I am considering making something new. I have some thoughts that it should be a standard system where the parts can be used freely on all machines and workbenches but the idea is not quite in place yet.

    • @Digidreas
      @Digidreas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can’t wait for your new idea. But do you have a sketch of the foldable track stop then?

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      André Snelting I have drawn a stop block into the CrosCutSled file on my website www.harrisknudsen.dk/inspiration.htm it is the same as on the drill table

      Not yet, but I have considered the possibilities.

    How did you solve drill bit wobble, or should I say runout? The whole drill has a big wobble on the stand, it is not adjustable.

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I have that problem, but maybe there is a difference between the machines

    • @juliusvalentinas
      @juliusvalentinas ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Harris-DIY Well I ordered mine from Germany but it has that problem. There are no adjustment bolts to adjust wobble on the column, the aluminum will not last long time. Put a 50 or 70mm thin wood saw bit, and you will see how the drill is unstable.

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      I often use 50 - 70 mm. hole saws without problems so maybe you should contact Bosch.

    • @juliusvalentinas

      @@Harris-DIY The play was from beginning, and it is not adjustable, so what would bosch do? There is no warranty.

    • @juliusvalentinas

      @@Harris-DIY Why any Cheap drill stand has adjustment on the column with screws and drill machine for 340EUR does not, BOSCH are idiots or think that we are.
