I did do magnets, cleaner appearance, more forgiving installation and pretty cheap way to fasten the body. I went with magnets from Amazon…..about $6 for the set. thanks for sharing, enjoy that basecamp!
I think you could squeeze one in between the shock towers. I’ve also seen some install the battery inside the cargo box located in the bed. That puts the weight really high for my liking but a clean look

Why didn't you put it as low as you had planned you cut the extra space did something else become a problem like tire rub or something

They are originally from an SCX10 Trail Honcho. They hug the body nice. I’m sure you can get a set from axial 👍
