This is going to make mounting my son's Comanche body so much easier. Great video bud, way to go 👍🤘
Nice job Oz. I did the same thing on my JK build, I had to make the brackets for mine but it works great. Great video👍🏻👍🏻

@@operation11charlieinc They do make a truck hard body one I'm thinking about getting one later on bud u should definitely get the Cherokee look on Amazon were I got this one 😁
Wow you got a lot of views on this video! Very helpful
Good job man plus like the paint gonna get either the suv or pick up of this body very soon was looking for idears
That's Awesome I have the pick up as well. I think you'll enjoy either or Thanks for watching
oh man I wish you had a link to those hinges.. I think you need to find them with 1cm hole spacing
I ended using a 6" piano hinge after making an aluminum plate I cut similar to his and drilled holes to match the rear of the XJ body and it worked out great! This video was very helpful in my idea.
Very clever solution!! 😎
I gotta go back and screenshot the hell out of it! 😲😗
If I can get my Comanche Hardbody, I might do very similar.
Can't believe I missed this! I wanted to know what you came up with. Like I said, very clever.

Thank you I just came up with the piece of aluminum and a couple small hinges that a had laying around And just mounted on to the rear chassis brace where the bumper would go And wallah. I just made a cardboard template are a piece of paper Before I could the aluminum I do you wanna fairly thicker piece of aluminum but not too thick because you also don't want it to bend when you lift the body. Hope all of that make sense
It really does. I'm also the "draw outside of the lines" kind of guy when it comes to building these.
Just look at it, and the crap you've got lying around, until an idea hits!! 😉
If you’re using this body isn’t it a12.3 wheelbase? If so what did you have to do to adjust length of wheelbase to make it work?
Yes technically you dont have to adjust anything. I did adjust the lower and upper links forward one notch, but u don't have to. Other then that you dont have to adjust anything to have the body fit on the Chassey. hope That made sense😄👍
OZBOY 81 right on bro I’m thinking about getting the Gen 8 pack but want to use a 12.3 body
How did you mount the interior to the body? Also you figures, did you cut the legs to fit in the seat? I am doing the same one for my traxxas TRX4.
I hot glued the interior underneath the hood & the side of the body to hold the interior. I also just cut a little piece so the guy's leg would slide through👍
I’m hoping to do the same on a gen7 sport
That's awesome.. I recently got rid of this one but I want to do another build
awsome I want this body for mine just couldent fing any body mounting it
Hello, greetings from Colombia, you have the link where to buy the body, thanks

I'm new to RC world, I'm a Chevy guy, I'd like to put a 73' Chevy body on my Gen 8, will any 1/10 scale body fit or do I have to look into specific measurements of fender wells placement, body lenght & width etc?
Most 12.3 body should work just keep in mind that somebody's are not as white as others
HEY brother I Have a question IF IM RUNNING No LIGHT SETUP AT ALL,CAN I MOUNT THE JEEP ON THE CHASSIS FENDERS?any FEEDBACK GREATLY APPRECIATED
You can use body post or any other means of mounting the body on to the chassis I don't think you can mount the whole body on Fenders because the back doesn't have any brace to mount 2 unless you make some. If you have this body it should I came with mounting brackets
I wrote QUESTION wrong...sorry buddy...I mean if I have gen8 pack and Ordered inner chassis fenders...I'm running no lights at all...I'm only trying to cut back lexan interior square allowing shock towers to pass thru, for lower sitting of jeep CHEROKEE on gen8 pack chassis...will the jeep CHEROKEE be able to sit flush with inner gen8 chassis fenders on the gen8 pack?????...My question is only about the jeep CHEROKEE being able to sit/fit on gen8 pack with gen8 inner chassis fenders on????...""Sorry OZBOY81'''YOUR THE ONLY ONE AND BEST ONE ON TH-cam BROTHER TO ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!...LAST QUESTION WHAT DID U USE TO PAINT DOOR TRIM??AND FRONT WINDSHIELD WINDOW TRIM ETC????AGAIN I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LONG MESSAGE BROTHER,,THANK YOU SO MUCH OZBOY81🤜🤛🙌
@@josecanseca8979 if you want the body to line up with the wheel base of the gen8 chassis, keep in mind that you can adjust the wheel base a little bit. if you keep the wheel base to what I think is 12.3mm the cheerokee body will only sit as low as the chassis rails will allow. the lower grill, if you center the body to the wheelbase the lower part of the grill on the body will hit the frame rails in the front. It won't entirely, from what I remember, sit right on top of the inner fenders.
I used a KRYLON short cuts paint pen for the trim. Hopefully I answered your questions. Appreciate you watching my videos and asking for advice, sometimes its kind of hard to explain when you put it into writing. So again, thank you.
@@ozboy8144 OZBOY81,,THANKS MAN.>I ORDERED THE 324MM WHITE JEEP CHEROKEE ONE,THERES A 313MM AND 324MM,AND PACK COMES 324MM I BELIEVE,IM ORDERING THAT PEN NOW,OH SORRY I USED UR SKATEBOARD IDEA,,GREAT VISION🤜🤛
