  • In this episode of the Apache Versus Rivals Series, I compared the Apache 200 4v with it's closest Japanese counter-part, the Yamaha Fz25 BS6. Along with the comparison, the owner of the Fz25, Shubhjeet Ji has kindly shared his ownership experience with the Fz25 in detail. Checkout the full video to get a clear picture as to which bike you should go for in 2023.

I used to love the RTR 200 4V in BS4 era but fell out of love with it when the BS6 came out and then later on it just became a gizmo bike 😅. Plus when we grow up we realise its the experience of riding the bike which matters not the gizmos . I realised that when I learned riding motorcycle in 2019-20 ,it was a Bajaj Boxer 100cc it was raw mechanical and feelsome and later on i also was brushing my skills on a BS4 Himalayan std variant without ABS.
I kind of began to take a liking for FZ25 when I saw one of my school friend use it to go commuting and touring. He had a BS4 ABS variant from 2019 . Anyway I also stumbled upon an old powerdrift review of fz25 by Sagar sheldekar thats when i realised what it was even without riding. Its like a low maintenance power commuter/All rounder which does everything for you . One thing i realised from my experiences is that low end and midrange torque matters a lot in a country like india which has all kinds of terrain, riding conditions, unpredictable weather , Bad roads , peak traffic and whatnot . To me that is even more important than 6th gear , liquid cooling, high top speed etc . Torque matters more than top speed to me atleast . If it can cruise from 70 to 100kmph peacefully with minimum vibes and remain stable then people will love the bike. And thats something the FZ25 does really well sometimes even better than RTR 200 4V.
But the sad thing is i can't buy a used FZ25 BS4 ABS variant as its out of my budget hence i will have to settle for something else😢. But I wish i can upgrade to it someday.

Very balanced view, reflects your insight due to long hours on motorcycle rides. Please do bring out a similar comparision between Gixxer 250 and Honda 300 F.

Thankyou ! - more comparos coming soon , unfortunately, the gixxer 250’s, Honda 300+ aren’t easily available in my region. Will try for sure though

FZS 25 mirrors are not that good... But rest of the bike is jst amazing... Best part is milage. I got best of 51kmpl on a cruising speed at 70kmph or less and 32 to 35 at a cruising speed of 80+kmph. I took my White Devil Odisha to Chennai n Chennai to Odisha 4 times, with one time pillion and rest solo riding. Also made a ride with my wife Chennai to Ooty n return nearly 1300kms. I can easily recommend this bike who want to do touring, daily commuting. U can easily cruise at 100 to 110 kmph all day long without any stress ( If the speed limit permits. Like, inside Odisha the speed limit is 60kmph,Andhrapradesh it's 70kmph). Definitely the design is a head turner as I got lot of attentions from public. Comfort is top notch. I luv this Japanese machine.
😘😘❤❤Fall in luv with my White Devil.... 12:25

just loved competition because i was confused in both bikes in 2018 nd i decided to buy fz25 ..! all points about fz25 is right gear shifting is not that good ..! display is too small why i dont understand ..! milage is really so good as 250 cc bike no doubt .! lastly what i feel is 6th gear specially on highways ride ..!

Apache foot pegs are placed awkwardly. The Pulsars F250 and NS200 offer better comfort for touring, Bajaj has worked a lot on sitting posture

@@Nothing__fancy Every action is controlled by ECU. So as of now we can not install abs in rear wheel even if we wish.
But i have always a fear of skidding my bike in high speed.
So incase future version of 160 4v comes with dual abs, then i can install abs in rear wheel of my current 160 4v or not?
If yes then how much it may cost to me?

@@ragnarok9127 even if you want to install dual channel ABS, it will cost way too much- you’ll have to replace the ECU, full wiring harness, ABS units, Brake lines, rear alloy (for fitment of ABS sensor) Imagine how much it will cost !

....Rtr is much better for the ones who seek a sporty ride as it has clip ons and rear set foot pegs, a high revving 4 valve engine , better equipment like slipper clutch, stiffer chassis, adjustable front and rear suspension plus the bike is loaded with features like bluetooth connectivity with turn by turn navigation, riding modes , gtt etc. I would pick only the rtr.😊😊
