Abbie, I would like to sincerly thank you for your writing sprint videos. I have (just as of five minutes ago) wrapped up an almost 300K story that I was lagging on until I found your writing sprints. This is my largest project and your videos have helped me stay focused on pushing through each paragraph, no matter how irritating. Thank you again.

Thanks Abbie for this video. This was really helpful. Although there were times when I misspelled a few words, for some I quickly corrected, and for others, I ignored it, because not editing when I'm doing writer's sprints is very hard. Also, I rewind one of the breaks to match up when I have my break. Yeah, so this was my first time experiencing writer's sprints and my first time checking out one of your live videos. Overall, it's been really helpful, and I love you Abbie from the bottom of my heart, and your video just made my day. 😃

Writing a dark fantasy adventure story about two main characters with mysterious origins. The whole premise is that neither one of them knows what the other is truly after until the very end. The 'fantasy' in this story is set in biological hard systems, and in some ways has a sci-fi tint to it. Going to hit 300 pages soon- wish me luck!

I've never seen videos like this and I found it very helpful for writing sprints (though I do find focusing for 25 minutes is a bit too long for me) and the atmosphere/music.
How many ghosts are there? Not counting the one in the intro, I counted the ones in the break sessions: 2, 4, 2. Is that all of them? Or are there ones I missed? Ones during the writing sessions when I was busy writing?

Augh, yeah I relate with that! I just try not to worry about how intense and emotional it comes across as, because often in editing I'll go back and suddenly "lock" into the scene and strengthen it so much more! (Idk about you, but usually the problem for me is not that I haven't fully sunk into the POV character's head in writing, if that makes any sense lol.)

    This is my haunted house
    Class #178
    [DO NOT ENTER]
This place is home to an unidentified, endangered species and was founded by Pirate Homo habilis like creatures and their pet octopus. The home was in the middle of Polish Territory and to popular belief was haunted by this psychotic undead being, he had 1 big eye and honestly was more beautiful than anyone ever.
The pirates went in, one by one and this weird effect took its toll for the first time in a thousand years..
The Leader was hung to the wall with his bones snapping and his neck breaking and his eyes bulging and blood was gushing out of every corner of his body, his heart thumping until the end of time, with no chance of death.
The second, third and fourth one were more fortunate and they just died instantly after their hearts were ripped out by non other than tentacles deathicus.
The octopus was possessed by this one eyed beautiful creature and it grew bigger until the year 1869 when another group of explorers found the home and tentacles deathicus put them in through the top door where they were put in this void like room, floating around forever, anything they wished for, they got the opposite of..
They took the opportunity to invent reverse psychology and take that to their advantage, they wished for a dump, not food, and dirt water and got a Mansion, food, and water.
When Tentacles found out, he hung them to a wall and snapped their neck, broke their limbs, and of course, made their eyes bulge and kept them there til the end of time.
The family of the Explorers looked for them and thought they heard screaming from the house so the daughter and the son both went in after them while mom wasn’t looking, they were put in a nightmare realm where their worst nightmares came to life..
The boy ended up dead and the girl ended up trapped in the realm forever to rot.
The parents went in and found the son dead and the girl in a coma. They were so distraught to the point they got nailed to the ceiling by their feet to suffer greatly for interrupting the silence, their skin was torn off, their eyes exploded, their blood froze and their bones got stiff..
They went to town and someone screamed “MONSTER!” so now people went chasing after them, back into the house and each and everyone in the town got trapped in the house, to wander the empty voids for the rest of their ever-lasting lifetime, cold, stiff, depressed and if ya didn’t know better, they’d practically be zombies.
    Effects on History.
In the year 1939, a nazi attack on this town quickly turned to more visitors for tenticles, who turned them against everyone, including the nazis, and sent them to every county on earth by broken pirate ship pieces carried by tenticles. One of them killed Hitler and blamed his death by suicide. These zombie-like creatures made the USSR fall apart because of the effect, the house began to float around by messing with the gravity and afterwards almost made a 5th plane on 9/11 crash into downtown Omaha.
If you had a gun pointed to your head and the only way to survive was to go into this building, would you go in there? Or have a quick painless death?

    • @chaosreads
      @chaosreads ปีที่แล้ว

An immersive writing session is basically just something to help you focus. She does different themes for them and depending on what genre you're writing it helps you get in the mood for your story. I put them on and open another tab and start writing and then it's playing in the background as I write
