For the last 3 days I’ve been putting a couple of lavender essential oil drops on my pillow and a drinking a cup of Camomile and spearmint tea before bed an it’s helps clear my mind really helps me sleep better and helps with my anxiety the next day 😊😊😊😊
My husband and I have definately noticed this. Lemon tree blossoms, jasmyn etc temporarily lift my spirits even when im very low. Doesn't necessarily fix the depression or anxiety permanently, but definately gives you a breather😊
I've noticed that scents-oils and incense-bring me back into my body and make me feel present. I've been suffering from anxiety my entire life and when I am smelling natural scents I feel like a part of my brain wakes up-a part that make me feel good.
They are nice to diffuse, I have been using them since the late 1990s. They can destroy germs that are one lunged like plague, e coli and staff infection. Also good to stop mold and to get rid of insects. This place has a children's diffuser and kid friendly to oils plus standard oils and diffusers.
I'll definitely give a try on these essential oils! I've been suffering with insomnia for more than six months, and even taking pills to sleep, at least once a week I've been unable to fall asleep. Thank you so much for sharing this!
When I went through massage school, we had a module on aromatherapy. It is pretty incredible to learn the way smells can affect us so deeply. I heard several incredible stories while in school about this. I would love to get you together with my favorite teacher, because I think you would be fascinated by her experiences. I would like to add that I think a big part of the enjoyment in gardening is experiencing the fragrance of the herbs and flowers as well as the tactile component of working with the plants. I grow my own lavender and it's so wonderful to get that fragrance as I'm working out there. I want to add some chamomile for next year, because that is a very yummy and relaxing fragrance as well.
Hi Patty. That's right, you're the massage expert. I forgot about that - in addition to your other many talents. I can see how gardening would be very pleasurable. I hadn't thought of that. Chamomile would be awesome to have around. I know I haven't see all of your gardening videos - but do you have any with the lavender in it? I'll bet it's beautiful.
Yes!! Gardening involves all five senses! And you can get those benefits with growing a couple of containers on a sunny porch! It doesn't have to be a monumental process. In my garden tour video, you can see the herbs I grow. It's a mix of stuff for cooking as well as things for fragrance. Though right now I'm steeping my own lavender sugar and will be making my own scrub with it. Yes, I have a video planned!
Peppermint is a huge helpful oil as well. Not only does it help psychologically with anxiety and depression but also with relaxation, pain, and nausea.
Thank you for such an informative video. I don't have anxiety, I have schizoaffective disorder. I take risperidone and, thankfully, I've been functioning perfectly well, since I started taking it consistently years ago. Lately, I've been looking for ways to upgrade my sleep quality because it's absolutely essential to how I feel, both physically and emotionally. I need 10 - 12 hours of quality sleep to feel good. Any less than that and I literally feel like I was run over by a truck and I will for sure be in a horrible mood for the duration of the whole day. I found that earplugs and a good sleeping mask help. I've been curious about aromatherapy and now I'm convinced that I should definitely try it. Thank you.
I stumbled upon the "Aromatherapy for Anxiety - How Does It Work?" video while exploring TH-cam, and I'm so grateful for the recommendation. The insightful content not only shed light on the wonders of aromatherapy for anxiety but also delivered it in a clear and engaging manner. I found it extremely helpful, and after watching, I couldn't resist hitting the like button and subscribing for more valuable content. Great job to the creator for making such informative and enjoyable videos! 🌿👍
Awesome content. I developed anxiety with driving on expressways and big cities after my bout with COVID 19 in 2020. I never had such issues before that. I used to live and drove all around Los Angeles, San Diego and Houston Texas with no problem driving. I also happen to have ptsd from combat in iraq that dates back to 2004. I’m just searching for content to get me through this. I hate it! I used to never be like this.
I have an aromatherapy bracelet. It has been a life saver! If I am feeling anxious at all I will bring the bracelet closer to inhale the scent and it’s very relaxing. I add ylang ylang oil OR lavender oil. I am yet to true the others you have mentioned but I look forward to it.
Essential oils are amazing and have so many incredible benefits for both body and mind! I'm a clinical aromatherapist and I'm privileged to have learned how to use these oils over the years and continue to learn more each day - fabulous x
It’s great to get a scientific explanation from somebody with the credentials to back it up. Thanks for the breakdown, Dr. Marks! I always thought there was something to this, as I’ve noticed in the past that certain smells (i.e food, perfume), brings up emotions and/or memories). Going to Whole Foods now :)

You are very specific in all the details related to your topics. When it comes to the idioms,do not ask. You use the proper words. It is better than lecturing at university
Still such a helpful video! Using nasal and oral inhalers helps to concentrate the benefits (in smaller doses) than using a diffuser for the same benefit. Ie. A diffuser takes 20 minutes, and 8 drops of peppermint for a noticeable difference in a small room, whereas a nasal inhaler or oral inhaler like Füm uses only 3 drops or less and takes 30 seconds to begin receiving the benefits! Aromatherapy is the freaking bomb and we love it! Have you ever tried using an inhaler? We'd love to send you out a bunch of product to try out!
Thank you for this informative video on how aromatherapy works. .I enjoyed watching Explore your Dream Life channel recommended to me by TH-cam. I have liked and subscribed to the video .

Ive had a chronic migraine for like 2yrs now and the smell reduces/alleviates some tensions oddly enough, but I also love smells bc my scene of smells weak so idk how big a role that plays. Eucalyptus is good if you want to be more alert and opens your sinuses but too much exposure can be irritating & lavender is good for sleep but if you have stuff to do and stressed I recommend this mix to test out. Honestly it all comes down to your occasion w/ the smell aswell tho, this is just my experience
Great video and thanks. However Ancient Egyptians have used aromatic oils as early as 4500 BC in cosmetics and ointments [7]. They used to make a mixture of different sources of herbal preparations such as aniseed, cedar, onion, myrrh, and grapes in perfume or medicine. The royalty had special hats like crowns that the oils would be put in so it would always be right there with them.
Ylang Ylang is supposedly good for your mood, but I had a nightmarish response to it. Burning that in a blend everyday sent me into a downward spiral of despair. My anxiety and depression were through the roof for an entire month. I couldn't even go to work. I laid on my couch day and night and just cried and panicked. It wasn't until my doctor started me on Lexapro that I started to feel better and as I got out of the house more I stop burning so much Essential Oil. Now I rarely use it any other than one or two immune blends.

The whole mental health sector has become like beauty industry, magnifying small issues, selling unnecessary stuff, profiting off on people who are vulnerable
Hi, Dr. Tracey. Your videos are awesome and has great information. I’m new to your page and I’m not quite sure if you have already made a video or not about how to go about searching for organic essential oils? Please suggest essential oils for mental disorder. Thank you🙏🙏🙏
memo: using lavendor oil increases deep sleep
Very informative & concise. Are there other resources u can recommend that explores other practical applications for aromatherapy (e.g. enhance meditation, mental focus & clarity, improve immune system,etc....)? Thanks.
The whole mental health sector has become like beauty industry, magnifying small issues, selling unnecessary stuff, profiting off on people who are vulnerable
Thank you
love this
Hi, Dr. Tracey. Your videos are awesome and has great information. I’m new to your page and I’m not quite sure if you have already made a video or not about how to go about searching for organic essential oils? I am wanting to start blending together my own bottles to put out on the market and of course I want it to be organic so that it can be effective, but I’m not sure the route to take to searching for organic in my area.
