Hi Jason, Down, here in Detroit and the temperature 🌡 got up to 83 degrees this past Saturday and yesterday Sunday. Enjoy, the warm temperature 🌡 while you can. Remember, to listen to your Mother in Law, when she says TRAIN, then a TRAIN is coming down the track. Tell, Freddie that David from Detroit said HI! This, coming Wednesday and the temperature 🌡 is suppose to drop down to the 40's. And, here comes the TRAIN LOUD and CLEAR !
The joint where the spikes are loose appears to be a compromise joint between two different weights of rail. As to the pole, it'll get fixed about the same time as the hydrant. Keep the videos coming!
I have a few videos, but I haven't been back there in a couple years. Have to trespass to get there...... Unless I walk the mile from the dam, then its all public property.
Hello from the UK. I am sure that on our side of the pond, regulations would prevent trains from using railway track of such poor condition. Overall, the condition is appalling. I am interested to see how railways are not fenced off in the US and how they run along streets, between buildings etc. I am not sure whether this one is classed as street running because the track isn't actually set into the road, but it is certainly very close to it. Nice video BTW.
Very nice train video Jason, those tracks look pretty old would like to see a video of the Els Crossing the Menominee River on that hundred-year-old trestle
I have seen videos that make the track look very bad. But the reality is, there is nothing wrong with the tracks. A 50 to 60 MPH stack train runs across that section of track with no problem. The cars are not rocking or bouncing.
The crew knew about the crossing lights not working. That is why the train stopped and the crew member got on the ground to flag the crossing. I doubt that the wind had anything to do with the signals not working unless it took out the power coming into the electrical cabinet.
The railroad possibly deactivated the crossing temporarily because of false activations... broken bond wires on jointed rail, broken rails and rust build up can cause poor continuity in the signal system... I'm guessing that it was easier to deactivate the crossing, than to replace a broken rail... The railroad doesn't want to get constant phone calls from the local PD about their crossings being activated!
@@erict5234 Sounds like something they should take care of for safety's sake. Or will they worry about fixing the crossing lights after a derailment? Sort of two birds with one stone. ;^P
Looks like a derailment is in our future with all the crappy track.els does not put a cent into track repair or even minimal maintenance....who actually owns the trackage...???
Awesome seeing that train booking across the crossing with sectional rail! I got sun burnt in West Virginia when you filmed this
75 that day and snowing this morning... lol
Great video! Hope you enjoy the nice weather!
Can you look and see the date on those rails near you and there? 😁😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🚚
Nice to see another ELS train for a change.
Nice looking day! 👌 That pole and the fire hydrant may be fixed someday.

Seeing my homeland brought a tear to my eye, a twinge in my heart and goose flesh on my arms Dave Berquist, Lansing, MI
A rare sight. A couple of Conrail units. Still in faithful service.
You see, the txx cars all have the same graffiti motif. It's done by the same guy. Probably a factory option.
Looks like els needs to do some bably needed track maint .nice viideo jason ty!😉🥰🥰❤❤❤❤
Well done for patient train like the drive too
That’s so cool Jason, glad it’s warm there, thanks brother
Hey Jason !! 39 cars !!! Thanks !!
Thanks for the train fix Jason.👍👍🚂 You should put a picture over that check engine light🙂
Thanks for the idea! Its a sensor, not replacing it so... LOL
Happy you found a train Jason, that was a nice length one. Sure wish I lived near train tracks. There's nothing like a horn blasting away.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the Great video and chase Jason, even if you were heading to Dave's!

Thanks for another great video of ELS action. You need to get Jawtooth to pay you visit
He mentioned coming up one summer, might take him to Lake Superior to unwind. Everyone needs a break now and then..
Film that 100 year old trestle!
I have a few videos, but I haven't been back there in a couple years. Have to trespass to get there...... Unless I walk the mile from the dam, then its all public property.

Thanks Jason for another great video and narration!
Awesome video 👍😎🇺🇸
Great video I see finally no snow lol
39 on. Thanks for a great chase Jason. 😃😃😃😃🇬🇧
can you post a video of that outdoor RC track. That would be cool. Always enjoy your train videos. Thank you
Will do.. Nothing too fancy, but it is a good course.
Nice to see a video from you. It's been a while. And it's a nice video.

Is that pine going to be plywood
Nice looking loco, I like your videos, been watching since i saw you and jaw tooth a while back
48 here in eastern Massachusetts!

If Jason had a drone, that would look perfect.
Look back in my videos, specifically do a search for "drone crash". It wasn't mine but we were at that very bridge filming a passenger train.
Great vlog mate I’m going to bed now here in London 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good video Jason
Good morning to all from SE Louisiana 26 Apr 22.
Morning! In about 3 weeks I'll be driving near there coming from Biloxi and going up towards Little Rock..
Jason Asselin Would you have time to meet up? Do you know what the date would be?
@@billmorris2613 Tuesday, May 17 I should be in Biloxi/ Gulfport. I know I def want to catch some trains while there! 100%
good train video
FSC RAILROAD in your town MTH ago.
He was south of here in the video I watched. He did say he was offroading in the UP somewhere.
If the guys at ccrx6700 saw how sad the track is, they would be up there to fix it PDQ!
Amazing how fast they can go on those tracks. Not sure what’s keeping them from derailment 🤔
Another goodie!
The roadbed is deplorable, I'm surprised there aren't more derailments, especially with the spring thaw.
Nice Doppler effect on horn as it passed on last shot. Clearly heard frequency drop as it passed.
Is ELS preparing to set new ties? great video.
It amplifies it more when you're zoomed it, but those rails look pith ethic!
I have seen videos that make the track look very bad. But the reality is, there is nothing wrong with the tracks. A 50 to 60 MPH stack train runs across that section of track with no problem. The cars are not rocking or bouncing.
Tell you wife "Thank you."
39cars
Nothing better too watch then a train to go by with the orange freddy on back, it at speed!
I don't know why it never occurred to me before. When your trains get into Michigan they can't get to the lower peninsula. Duh!
38 cars
Looks like they don't take care of the rails or the ties
Looks like ELS buys their locomotives from class 1 railroads.
good snacks
Hey Jason, will the ELS ever repair those narley looking tracks.....
Nope.
Now that you showed those loose bikes now the maintenance department will come by and drive them all the way in give me six months from now
That is a fact. I know they watch my videos. lol
I counted 39 cars and compartments on all 3 passes.
You bet nice day tracks need repairs
Does this RR have any plans to fix or upgrade any of their track? Great speed up the hill!
There goes Fred.
Hi there! I will be grateful for the subscription! Thank you!
hey Jason, do you ever get the chance to check dates on the rail?
I swear they cut them out, or welded over the dates. lol
It looks like it has decent car loads, why are they so cheap on maintenance?
Warning lights not working at the crossing @6:55? Wonder if it was wind related or a maintenance issue.
The crew knew about the crossing lights not working. That is why the train stopped and the crew member got on the ground to flag the crossing. I doubt that the wind had anything to do with the signals not working unless it took out the power coming into the electrical cabinet.
That crossing is hit and miss, it was working last week.
Jason Asselin Intermittent electrical problems can be very difficult to find.
The railroad possibly deactivated the crossing temporarily because of false activations... broken bond wires on jointed rail, broken rails and rust build up can cause poor continuity in the signal system... I think you are standing too close to the tracks with loose spikes. If that train derailed at that speed your screwed. Be safe buddy.
I had running room.. No worries. lol

The railroad.
Does this R.R.. even have a track crew? ballast. we don't need . . .
