Greetings from the Philippines :) will definitely try this for my kids birthday this weekend. You should have more subscribers your very good and the designs are elegant at the same time :)
Rosie I just love watching your video tutorial you are an AMAZING artist/Cake designer. you are truly an inspection to all others, like me. you are a wonderful artists keep up the wonderful job. Love your channel. Lee
Hi +Janette Gonzalez, yes that would come out looking just the same :) I would add the fruit to the middle and try to leave a good 1cm space between the edges of the layers so they don't slip through to the outside frosting. But it definitely can be done. I add strawberries to my cake frosting all the time :)
p.s I ALWAYS watch your videos alot more then once even more the twice sometimes or then that, I find that watching you videos brings a sense of relaxation and calmness,I love it. Keep up the fantastic job. :-) plus your voice is so calming and soothing . LOVE IT. :-) :-)
thank you soooo much +Lee x , that is so nice x) I am really happy to hear you are enjoying the videos! It makes my work soo much more worth while when people let me know they have been inspired by what I'm sharing x)
Hi, Rosie. That cake looks absolutely stunning. You have done it again, you really pulled all the stops here. Your cake making techniques and tricks really inspire me be a great baker like you. Without you and your wonderful content, my life would still be troublesome without your dedication and hard work. Thank you for everything, Rosie. Best of luck in future cake making videos. See ya soon. Byron. :-)
+Byron Chandler you are just amazing, thank you so much. It gives me so much pleasure to hear people feel inspired to bake after watching a video x) I hope you enjoy your journey to bakehood! ;D do you have an instagram page? I would love to check out your creations!
My gracious! This is the most beautiful cake I've seen in a while. Do you have a video on how you make you ganache? I've found a few videos but all of theirs looks like buttercream and not liquidly like yours. Thanks!
Hi +WealthisoftheMind, This ganache will dry pretty hard though, but all ganache will be flowy like this to begin with :) I do show how to make it during a cake pop tutorial for frozen cake pops. The video can be found here: th-cam.com/video/dWg-EgHrrIw/w-d-xo.html
Hi +Jshsj Hdhs, thank you lol that's so nice of you to say. The colours are edible so they are safe to eat, even if you add loads of it into the cream :)
Anum Mahmood ganache is simple, it's just chocolate and heavy cream. Heat heavy cream till hot and pour over the chocolate, let the chocolate sit for a few minutes, then stir until it looks completely combined and nice and glossy. How much you use depends on what you want to make. If you're using it like in the video above, it will be equal parts chocolate and heavy cream. if you're going to make truffles, you use 2 parts chocolate to one part cream. if you need it thinner or thicker, just add chocolate or heavy cream accordingly. Simple! ps, I know this is a bit late, but maybe someone else will need the info later on. ;)
thank you so much for another beautiful tutorial.. can you please tell me what kind of cake you used for this tutorial and if you wouldn't mind sharing your recipe.. and is this cake strong enough to be covered with fondant.. thank you.
Hello there, I love watching your videos and learning all these different techniques 😊 I was just wondering (it's probably a silly question but I thought I would ask anyway), I am planning on making a completely black and white themed cake exterior for my sister and I was planning on using dark chocolate ganache for part of the decoration. I was wondering if there was anyway to make dark chocolate ganache blacker or if I would have to make white chocolate ganache and dye it with gel food colours as well as using copha? I can do either way I have just only ever made dark chocolate ganache before. Would you know where I could buy the copha in NSW, Aus? Sorry for the long comment.
Hey +georgia zambelli, thank you :) And there's no such thing as a silly question. I would suggest you dye the white chocolate black with gel and copha (I remember trying with dark chocolate and it didn't work quite as planned, although white chocolate became dark very quickly). Let me know how you go :) And they sell copha in the fridge section of both Coles and Safeway. It's white packaging with a colourful cupcake (and clown?) on it, sold in 250 gram blocks usually near where the butter is.
Looks amazing. Can I ask how would you make a coloured butter-creme, so instead of white it'll be purple or something? I want to try and attempt one for my daughters first birthday ☺️
+Monika Kapetanovic thank you Monika! To make coloured buttercream you can add purple gel food colour into the buttercream once everything is creamed together. If gel food colour is hard to come by, you could always just mix red and blue liquid food colour, and maybe take out one tablespoon of milk if you are adding lots of liquid colour.. (gel would be best as you don't need much of it to achieve a strong colour).
Omg! What a beautiful cake! Can I ask for any suggestions on how to substitute shortening? We don't have it in my country :( Can I replace it with butter? Thank's a lot! :)
Hi +Catalina Franco, you can also add vegetable oil into you chocolate instead of shortening :) or coconut oil, probably coconut oil is the next best thing. Then vegetable oil.
+Rosie's Dessert Spot No worries, Rosie! I'm so glad that you do what you do. Everything you make is so gorgeous and inspiring! Thank you for sharing your passion with us! xx
lol that's so sweet, thank you +Laila al-eissa x) I am from Australia, so I'd like to think I have an Australian accent but people have told me otherwise lol
Thanks +ZATIEBBADDICTED ! It can stay outside for a day or so. I know many people say buttercream cakes can stay outside of the fridge for even 2 days, but I'm too paranoid to try lol. The chocolate ganache won't melt at room temperature so it will be fine :) as long as you do't live in the tropics / in a super warm climate.
Hello Rosie, I enjoy your tutorials...May I ask what is copha; I do believe that is what you said you added to the ganache to keep the ganache from seizing....I don't believe we have that product in the US. Is there a substitute for copha?
+Diana Marina Torres Alonso lol! thank you Diana. I like to keep it in shot, but I want it to be nice and big so I squeeze myself into the frame next to it haha...
What recipe of cake do you use in these videos? Bc your cakes seem really dense/firm which make them easier to work with whereas and the ones I bake are crumbly? Should I try freezing them first
Hey +Yahusmell Balibrea Moya, I called it a turn table but I think you can also buy what is called a lasy susan and this works just as well. Turn table is the only other name I know for this tool.
hi I just came across your channel. you are very talented. I had a few questions that I hope you answer. Did you use white chocolate ganache for the dripping or is that candy melts? Which is better for this effect and for coating cake pops. Can I use any gel color to color the ganache as long as I add some shortening ?
Thank you so much for posting all the steps and recipes in your description.

Hi +Janette Gonzalez, yes that would come out looking just the same :) I would add the fruit to the middle and try to leave a good 1cm space between the edges of the layers so they don't slip through to the outside frosting.
