    Director is actually inspired by old movie of Megastar Chiranjeevi titled "Chantabbai" which is also in the same line, starts like a funny detective movie and later it gets serious.

    Him leaving the shutters, lights and computer on before leaving, is something I think he picked up from the tonnes of movies and shows he watched where the detectives would just leave immediately after they receive a call or figured out a clue for the case and had to leave to follow up on it without bothering to close their offices. It is just him imitating the attributes of those fictional characters.
    And I think they bring it back when he is framed for those deaths. Because in reality leaving his office open like that made it easier for the perpetrators to plant fake evidences in his office.
    And we see later as well, that he learnt his lesson when we see him close the shutters of his office when he gets shot (fake). So, I think they did bring that thing around as well. :)
    And later in the climax he leaves it open as a distraction, on purpose to make that particular police officer believe he is in office when he is actually tailing the perpetrators.

    15:45 that's not true at all Jaby. This movie has been inspired by Chantabbai an Old film of chiranjeevi, where the lead is funny and it gets serious over the period.
    Even in the beginning... during the suicide episode they do show how capable he is...

  • @Wiseenoughtobefoolish
    @Wiseenoughtobefoolish 2 ปีที่แล้ว +70

    In the premise from the beginning they establish that he is funny but yet brilliant. Lock stock is a good comparison where it’s a very serious movie yet each character in the movie is hilarious. Comedy is essential for Telugu movies. Audience expect comedy in Telugu movies. If you did speak to telugus you will see that majority of them have a great sense of humour and have a lot of cinematic influence too.
    Majority of thrillers within India are done within south India and in Bollywood it’s not even a thing. So the treatment of the movies are very different. Elementary series on Amazon cld be a good comparison.

    Jaby! Author of Sherlock Holmes, arthur conan doyle himself acted as consultant to police and said to have solved one or two real cases. The famous Detective Conan anime was also inspired by sherlock holmes and the shows mc himself is inspired by sherlock holmes. There are many scientific invention that were legit inspired by sci-fi movies.
    After all what is innovation but our imagination.
    When it comes to agent in this movie, his penchant for detective movies or novels may have inspired him to develop sleuth skills or his aspiration to become a sleuth may have lead to those movies.

    They set it since the starting that he is very smart, though educated through movies, he is very observant and actually deduces a lot of things, his form of learning was not official but he has a natural flare to his job... also it's a funny detective movie that's why it has all the comedy mixed with solving the case... leaving the lights and everything on, is to make it look like they were in an urgency, he mentions this to his assistant in the starting

    I'm among those who had recommended this film. It's really well done and I love how the movie surprises you. Tone shifts tend to throw off most westerners but it's something I've always liked in Indian cinema! How it goes from being almost a spoof to going into serious territory, while keeping a lot of humour, was all done very smoothly IMO.
    Next Telugu movie that I'd recommend is *Bommarillu* , it's a romcom/coming of age film and among the highest rated Telugu movies on IMDb. It's pretty much a modern classic. I guess it should be a reaction with Jaby and Achara 🙂 (the movie focuses a lot on the male protagonist and his relationship with his overbearing dad so it would be an enjoyable watch for Jaby too)
